Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
-
@Purple:
I definitely don't remember an insane shockwave or any car flying off in the distance in ONE's original version. In fact, there isn't a panel after the punch that shows the magnitude of it. I for one actually prefer this version over the first way Murata drew it because of how quick and simple it was.
Thought the first version was ONE's.
…
I know...i know...
-
For a second there when the crowd was talking and kinda praising Saitma I thought that was when he'd be named One-Punch Man. Alas, I get some cynical prick civilian curtailing the whole thing.
Great chap as usual.
@Sâuza:Thought the first version was ONE's.
…
I know...i know...
LOL @ ONE coming up with such quality.
I don't even know why ppl even read that version. Just to see what happens later on? Impatience for Murata's work?
I see that quality of drawing and it reminds me of the dark days of HxH.

Those damn NEETs
-
So why was that dude being a total jerk to the heros?
Has anything to do with his shirt cause i know theres people call that.
Is that how these "neet" are usualy like this in japan?
But damn, Saitama was realy great this chapter. -

Murata's art drew me in, but it was the story that kept me interested. Therefore, yes, I like reading ONE's original work despite the art, which quite frankly just grows on you.

But damn, Saitama was realy great this chapter.NEETs would be an acronym for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training."
Basically the freeloaders of society that just complain and have a high sense of entitlement.
-
NEET originated in the UK and stands for "not in education, employment, or training" and no, most NEETs aren't total pricks like this dude.
Edit: damn ninja :(
-
Thanks for the clarification.
-
What was the reason for the redrawn chapter?
-
most NEETs aren't total pricks like this dude.
But the stereotype isn't without merit.
Much of the most pricky asshole postings on 2ch are from NEETs with entitlement issues after all. :getlost: -
-
Or just to make up for the short content of the last chapter. If he started from where the last one left off, we'd have another short chap again.
I'm not complaining, long as the story keeps moving. It's fine by me.
-
To be fair Murata drew 31 pages of manga in other places this month.
21 pages on LIVE and 12 pages for Hajiman(and that's not counting the doujin pages of course)
-
does anyone know why the chapter is late? almost 3 days already.
did Murata say something on Twitter about this? -

thank you for the info
-
Chapter is out: http://tonarinoyj.jp/manga/onepanman/36/
is awesome as usual ….. but looks like this is a side-story which isn't in the original ... & we see license less-rider .. :)
-
Looks like we're on a bit of a sidetrack seeing as Murata's a few chapter numbers ahead of the original web comic.
Looks like we might be awhile before we get to showing most of the S-Class then.
-
Is Murata realy that close?
-
A little behind-the-scenes peek at Hero Association shenanigans?
Cool.
-
Ok we need translation…like right now.
-
Mmm, more License-less Rider. Can never go wrong with that.
-
Is Murata realy that close?
Getting their, we're one story away from the current Garou story.
-

Thanks didn't know that.

Licenseless rider isnt dead?
Fuck, I feel robbed.
-
Licenseless rider isnt dead?
Fuck, I feel robbed.
Wha-What kind of monster would want the frigging, amazing, handsome, allworthy Licenseless Rider die?
-
Licenseless rider isnt dead?
Fuck, I feel robbed.
Really? what part of that made you think he was dead, there was no indication that he was dead at all to me, very clearly a knock out

I see this manga is really popular and gets good ratings on manga sites but I would like to know something before starting it.Is it the kind of manga whose main and sole purpose is comedy and all the action, story and characters attached to it is 100% comedy(like gintama)?Or rather is this a manga with a comedic undertone attached to a more serious main plot(like one piece).
So what's the comedy like in this manga? -
Neither, but closer to the former. Heavy comedy, heavy action. The action can be comedic, but also awesome. The story is rarely serious, or rather it doesn't take itself too seriously, but it's not a lazy story or anything. Most of the main characters are serious personalities in serious situations, while most of the villains are serious personalities forced into comedic situations or face faults. The main character is pretty laid back but inevitably creates comedic moments.

So what's the comedy like in this manga?Wait, you consider Gintama to be 100% comedy? Have you not gotten to stuff like the Benizakura arc or something?

So what's the comedy like in this manga? It's just like brennen said: serious comedy and serious action. It's an intriguing plot, and the comedic side can be also a very well accomplished parody of the superhero archetype. So it's not just a comedy, but it also can be read in some parts as a funny critic of another kind of series. You should try it.

@keizerking:
So what's the comedy like in this manga?
Leslie Nielsen in Airplane!; ludicrously over the top but played completely straight.

So what's the comedy like in this manga? Its funny. I find it way funnier than One Piece. It also does a pretty good job keeping the storyline badass and intense. Saitama is a very good protagonist for the comedic/badass/awkward schticks.

thanks for the replies i guess i will check it out
Wait, you consider Gintama to be 100% comedy? Have you not gotten to stuff like the Benizakura arc or something?
I didn't want to say it(because it's forbidden to diss a manga here)but I really couldn't get hooked on this manga at all.I only read like 1 chapter then tried watching the anime instead but only watched like 5 or 6 eps,so about this benizakura arc i don't know if i did watch it,I don't remember. But from what i saw and read everything in the story seemed to have comedy as it's main and single purpose,it didn't seem to follow any sort of serious guiding principle or objective(like finding the one piece).
-
Licenseless rider isnt dead?
Fuck, I feel robbed.
Doesn't even hold a candle to that Teppei chapter in Toriko.
Neat chapter though! Cute ending.
-
It's sorta like the entire cast are characters in a movie, taking their situations seriously, while Saitama is uniquely sitting in a plane of not-give-fucks like a MST3k member watching the movie.
-
"Thank You."
No, thank you License-less Rider. You're a real hero.
And f*ck all those pretentious hero assoc. guys.
-
I just want to tell you both good luck, we're all counting on you.
-
Man, I love Licenseless Rider.
-
Entrance exams, Meteor strike, Seaking invasion,
! Alien invasion,
! Monster assocication invasion… and Garou. Saitama has been participating every event, evidence starts pile up and assosication board staff will have to start having doubts, more and more people will start to believe that Saitama might be a real deal, question is what they will do about? They might agnowledge that Saitama is exceptional strong even for a hero and he might even get promoted to S-class eventually but in reality Saitama's strenght is beoynd imagination and Saitama himself dont care about his rank or position, he might be humanitys strongest fighter (and probably is) but he just want to be a hero for his own personal reasons.
-
Looks like we're due for a few more extra chapters though,
! Seeing as Saitama is rank 101 here and by the alien invasion he's rank 63
So let's see what monsters Murata or ONE comes up with in the mean time.
Also gotta love licenseless rider yeahhhhhhhhhhhh
-
That's the kind of chapter that hits you right in the heart.
-
The whole "entire organization, top heroes, and villains, are all oblivious to how obscenely god-like Saitama's power is" shtick never gets old.
-
I'm just excited for King.
-
This chapter gave me such a huge smile.
licenseless rider is so awsome. -
I'm just excited for King's introduction. He's the one guy who can probably beat Saitama.
Not only beat him, but crush him mercilessly and make Saitama shiver with shock…King is awesome.
-

I assume you haven't seen or heard anything about the original webcomic then? Or did you mean the top s rank hero?
-
I assume you haven't seen or heard anything about the original webcomic then? Or did you mean the top s rank hero?
But King actually did beat Saitama. At a video game.
-
Careful, guys.
