O…kay? That's a pretty flimsy excuse to drop something and really seems to have an underlying intention behind it to seek out reasons to stop reading the series.
How about something more consequential for a series I'm assuming you like (and boy do I hate assuming)? If Blackbeard dies by a stray BB gun pellet, I still don't think I'd drop One Piece. It would take a lot to make me not want to see everything that's still off on the horizon.

Luffy stopping Durandel with both hands was very cool. Kinda reminds me of when he grabbed Arlong's sword with one hand.OH SNAP! Blackbeard! I knew he was going to grow the classic twisted beard that RL Blackbeard had! Thank you, Oda. I hope we get a full design reveal soon.

I really don't like the fact that Rebecca looks A LOT like Nami. I mean c'mon. This seems to be a recurring thing with female characters. Hopefully she'll look different colored in or animated. Anyway this was an ok chapter. I'm REALLY interested in what Kuzan (Aokiji) is up to. I thought Luffy would be a little more angry at Blackbeard and challenge him straight up. I wanted to see more of an exchange between enemies with such a deep history but whatever. Barto is so weird, but hilarious nonetheless.

We don't know if he himself has more than those two powers, but we know from Jimbei that he and his crew have been hunting down DF-users and getting their DFs. I think it's safe to assume that all BB's men have now powers.

Man, the last two chapters have been hilarious. Between Chinjao and Barto the series still cracks me up with its subversive plot twists. Luffy himself is in top form as well ("Mummies")
While I really don't see Rebecca joining, I think this arc might leading up to a decision where Luffy decides to give Rebecca the Mera Mera fruit considering how unlikely any of his crew will get it. It just looks like she really needs it more than Luffy and for the right reasons. Wouldn't surprise me much if she doesn't get it, but it seems more likely at this point that she will.

I can see Luffy letting Rebecca have the mera DF at the end of this if she keeps up that attitude.
Cannibal guy probably won't even put up a fight against Luffy when it comes down to the final 4. So Luffy will just battle it out with Burgess and maybe that other guy that wants him dead (or maybe a surprise new character kills him).

People need to stop going on and on with the new nakama like rebecca, sai, and barto and on. It luffy that pick up next nakama not just join random jut because he going to help them like rebecca. I don't see why she would join the crew just because luffy going to help them and didn't she said she want to live with the toy soldier so pretty much 0% there. Barto, have his own crews this isn't WB! We talking about Strawhats here, ally yes but not crewmate.

I pray that Oda has the decency to not make a mockery of her little speech about wanting to protect the one she loves by having Luffy turn around and do everything for her. At least let her fight in the decisive battle and take down a DD Family member in a one-on-one, or defend One Leg from an imminent attack or something. Fuck- at least let them fight to__gether. That would be progress.But when was the last time somebody made a speech like that and let Luffy and Co. do all of the heavy lifting while she sits on the sidelines?

10/10. This was even better than last week's.
- I think it's pretty much confirmed that Cavendish'll win D Block. Rebecca isn't all that strong and his grudge isn't going away.
- Ah, Bartolomeo. He's like one of us! His facial expressions were hilarious and this was proof that Lougetown is arguably the most important arc in the series.
- Chinjao will have put a dent in Dofla's bank account by the end of this…. And where's Bellamy?

Soooo… Right now we have the toys, gnomes and gladiators planning to rebel and when shit hits the fan Don Chinjao and Barto's crew would surely join them and the Strawhats (not to forget Cabbage boy, since he is also Luffy's fanboy on his own way). And on the other hand we have Blackbeard/Aokiji plotting in the dark and a wild Zatoichi that's fed up with all that bullshit.
I almost feel pity for Doflamingo.

Of course. Blackbeard could've just said something like, "Burgess, did you steal one of the pies? No more Devil Fruits for you." Any line of dialogue that a major character of One Piece says is relevant to something now or upcoming. And depending on your definition of relevancy, if we're talking about skilled authors, every line of dialogue is relevant to something. That random crowd member's exclamation of what just occurred? That's relevant to the chaos, the heated atmosphere, the style.
And before someone points out "but this one time the character talked about tacos and they never came up again and it was by a skilled author", those are outliers, and to analyze fiction you should really assume most of the dialogue is relevant if you want to understand the series.

- We've seen Bellamy last chapter.
- About Shiliew… most likely, Blackbeard simply compared the two situations to try and elevate Burgess' concerns, that's all. They did recruit Impel Down's former Chief Guard, and now they're working with Aokiji (another former government worker, more specifically a marine) for whatever purpose.

Awesome chapter! The only problem for me is that it seems more and more likely that Rebecca eats the Mera Mera. Though we haven't had her back story yet, she's not a terribly compelling character and her fighting ability seems quite weak. Whoever eats the fruit, good or bad, should at least compare to our memory of "Fire Fist".

Meh, to be honest, I'm getting annoyed by people cheering on that random chick Rebecca becoming the next nakama. I don't see what's so good about her to justify her joining SHs.
If SHs are to get new nakama then he has to be shikibukai level at least, not just some side character with tits and pretty hair.Most of the "Next Nakama" bullshit for the last many years have been fans picking out the first hot girl of an arc with a bit of personality, despite them being far too weak to join this late (Hancock and Monet being the exceptions), with the only arguement usually being based on the fact that the Strawhats need some gender equality when it comes to numbers of females vs males. It's getting really tiredsome.

Hmmm something to think about for sure. Conerning Kuzan, it seems like another logia on top of the YY wont help Bb at all. Bb respects the power or people too, shown when he tried to get Acr to join his crew and told the rest of his crew he was too stepng for any of them. Well, I doubt any of his crew is stronger than Kuzan, and since Bb respects power, I assume he wants Kuzan to ally or join his crew rather than give one of his own crew his DF lr just take it for himself. Hope all that made sense :D
