I think if the vita can get a 10 million install base it's going to be safe and viable for bigger developers, especially since the attachment rate of games right now is extremely high on the vita.

Well, sure, but where is it at now? It was at around a million in spring, wasn't it? It's going to get some traction this fall, sure, but not sure it's going to get enough to reverse the big developers' distaste.

Yeah that's what I heard last about it, too. ~1.4 million. I just want to believe :(.

We get it Sony, you want indie games.
Only real interesting thing was Rime. Love the style of that one.Going to Gamescom on Sunday myself.
Hope it isn't to crowded. -
If the last guardian is your only hope, then you may as well stay in bed for the next couple years.
-
For you Americans, these are the new PSV card prices:
4GB: $14.99
8GB $19.99
16GB $39.99
32GB $79.99 -
:|
Sony was better off marketing the Vita as an entry level tablet for only $99. Redesign it to make it "6, make the buttons and stuff attachable, make it compatible with original Vita's, etc.
Call it the Sony PlayPad or the Xperia V.
-
If the last guardian is your only hope, then you may as well stay in bed for the next couple years.
Well of course I'm also hoping to see more of Yakuza Isshin, Demon's Souls 2, Level 5's new title, new Ape Escape, and Persona 5.
-
4GB: $14.99
8GB $19.99
16GB $39.99
32GB $79.99Ugh why is there no savings scale between the biggest models? They'd make a killing on the 32gb models if they were selling them for like 60 dollars.
-
Those are apparently RRP. So you could probably find Amazon doing the 32GB ones for just over $60 I'd imagine. People were saying currenly on amazon can get for just under $80 while RRP is $100
-
I can arrest the 32gb is definitely worth getting if you get a good deal.
uncharted golden abyss
wipeout
gravity rush
maverick Hunter x
ffvii and ffix
persona portable 3 fes
plants vs zombies vita
sound shapes
muramasa rebirth
hotline miamiall installed and the card isn't even half full

So, after going back and looking at some video, I'm thinking Rime is going to go in the Okami/Flower/Journey/SotC category of me obsessing over it years before it ever sees the light of day.

SCEJ is holding a conference on the 9.9 pretty soon. http://commu.jp.playstation.com/blog/details/20130821_scej_pc2013.html

Try this again:
Shahid Kamal Ahmad, one of the main forces behind Sony's Indie push, just tweeted: "BTW, we didn't announce everything. More to come over the coming months. Watch this space. Still working non-stop on #JRPGVita."
He's not actually a dev, so it sounds like Sony has a clue where their bread would be buttered on a handheld.

Puppeteer Demo is up on EU PSN.
Played it, finished it and will buy it day 1 now.
It's bloody awesome. -
Ok let me ask this- is getting Psvita worth it?? Thanks in advance.
-
- What games do you like?
- Have you owned a PSP and/or PS1?
-

At this point it's a matter of opinion. I'm just not real interested in any games it has.

- Do you own a PSP? If Yes are your games Digital or Physical? If Physical do you mind no backwards compatability?
- Do you own a PS3? If yes do you mind that a good portion of titles are PS3 ports.
- Do you love indie titles? If no then will you learn to love them?
- Do you mind paying extra for expensive memory cards?
- If you own a PS3 do you currently pay for PS+?
- Do sub-par installments in the Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Resistance and Call of Duty franchises thrill you to pieces?
Personally I've owned the console for about a year now, the last Full Title I bought was Persona 4: Golden back in November and last time I touched the console was around May/June time, prior to that was January. Most titles I've either picked up on the PS3. There are a handful of indie titles I'm looking at but yeah, not much for me
-
Hey, take that back about LittleBigPlanet Vita. That was the best LBP.
-
Yea and labeling Call Of Duty Declassified as sub-par is being generous.
-
I actually rather liked Uncharted: The Golden Abyss. There was a lot that was wrong with it, but in terms of collectibles and exploration, it was better than the main series. For a launch title, it was pretty bloody good.
The big thing about the Vita for me and others–though not everyone, as Cyber-Robin proves--is that it's frequently such a great experience to play. For example, I had Rayman Origins on PS3 and Vita, and the Vita version just felt better. It might be the screen, it might be the portability with few graphical/gameplay compromises, but there's a certain "fun" to playing things on the Vita that's hard to explain.
Is it enough to justify purchasing it? Depends on your interests. But if you're on the fence, try borrowing one of the six people who own one's Vita and giving it a shot. It might surprise you a little.
-
After playing gravity rush, rayman origins and guacamelee I think I've regrown my love for these type of games. I actually might now be interested in knack, weird.
-
I would love DQ8 on my vita
-
Cant wait to play Diablo III on Ps3
is it a free game? i never played the Diablo or PC versions. -
It's not free. Diablo 3 is pretty bad compared to the first two according to a lot of people though. I never got into that game really. Wonder how they're going to make the controls work with a controller.
-
If you just want to play D3, beat the campaign and try out the different characters, it's totally fine. If you want to beat it on all the difficulty levels and sink hundreds and hundreds of hours into your character, well that's where the complainers are coming from.
I enjoyed it (and I enjoyed D1 and D2 years ago) but I'm not a Diablo superfan so take that for what it's worth.
-
I've heard that the game is much better now after a series of patches?
-
I've heard that the game is much better now after a series of patches?
Loot is still terrible(which is pretty bad in a game centered around loot) but inferno isn't the one shot party it was anymore.
Also the auction house just changes the whole psychology by which you engage the game. When you farm 10 hours and don't find anything you tend to want to just buy an upgrade which is kind of boring.Dunno but I had way more fun with things like torchlight, borderlands 2 or path of exile. Diablo 3's only real strong suit is combat I think, which feels better than most of the other comparable games I've played.
-
I only beat it on Normal which is pretty much a cakewalk so maybe my view would change once it gets to actual difficult stuff, but I had a ton of fun with the Witch Doctor spec'd out so that I was rolling with a zombie/dog/helper crew about a half-dozen deep, throwing fireballs for huge splash damage and just rolling over everything like a wave of mayhem.
-
To give context my experiences have gone from normal to complete inferno pre patches. I've played from 1-60(so all difficulties but inferno) with 3 other friends and I had a blast but it's hard to ascribe this to the game itself. A lot of things are just way better with friends.
We couldn't really play inferno together back than because of how monster strength/hp scaled and because some classes were just ridiculously underpowered.
Even I only made it through with a demon hunter build back than that gave me infinite invincibility.I've played about 3-7 hours with a whirlwind barbarian that I've thrown together with some auction house gear after all those patches but just moved on after not finding a single good thing for any class.
I dislike heavily how so much is tied to your weapon dps which limits your choices insanely. Especially legendaries are pretty bad.
It's also not that amusing to find level 58 items on monster level 5 inferno when your level 63 loot is already awful. But all those things should be supposedly fixed with the addon, but I've just lost interest in that with more cost efficient alternatives on the market. Blizzard has been backpedaling heavily on a lot of their design decision for diablo 3, almost like microsoft did with their policies.
–-------------------
I'm generally pretty miffed at blizzard in general, they've been just so behind on every front. After starting dota 2 in just became even more apparent that battle.net 2.0 is an inexcusable shit show of a network client. -
Just picked up "Killer is Dead" and can't wait to start killing…

Moments ago, Adam Boyes introduced the latest addition to the Third Party Relations family at Playstation, a new group that I get to captain called Third Party Production. The Third Party Relations team at PlayStation is well known for developing solid relationships across this industry, and this new group will work closely with our publishing partners to bring their beloved IPs to some new places. This means you’ll see even more great games on PlayStation platforms, including new IP’s, ports, and localized products. In addition, our partners who are currently in production will have us as a resource to strengthen their development process, ensuring quality and consistency on all Third Party projects.I’m really excited for our team to explore new opportunities on behalf of PlayStation. Even though we’re brand new to PlayStation, we’ve got years of experience in this industry already under our belt. We already have a project underway, the recently announced PS Vita version of Borderlands 2. We are extremely excited to work with Iron Galaxy Studios on this project and I cannot wait to show and tell you more down the road.
I will share more with you as our adventures continue and new games are made available. In the meantime, let me know in the comments what you want to see on PlayStation (PS3, PS4, PS Vita). Or contact me on Twitter through the ingenious and mesmerizing handle of @giocorsi — original I know, but man is it solid. -
Megabyte Punch on the Vita would be all kinds of awesome.
It's a combination between Medabots, Megaman X and Smash Brothers.
Would love to have this on the go.Unfortunatly i don't have twitter. And i'm to stubborn to get it.

Wey great news. I backed that thing and just judging from the type of game it is I'll love it on my vita.
Also Xseed may or may not be teasing Trails in the Sky: SC, which probably no one here but me finished. So there is that.
Great game though people should check it out :P. -

It's official second chapter is coming probably next year. To steam, psp and vita.
If there are any people holding off because they've heard of cliffhangers it's time. There is a game after those two that is included in the sora no kiseki saga but to my understanding it begins it's own story.First chapter and second chapter are one big story arc with a proper resolution.

Need to get this game :ninja: -
I have a 40 gb PS3, thats is always running out of space. So my question is whats the best way to increase space, without deleting my data. Say an external hard drive, or a brand new larger internal drive. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrading the internal drive is really easy, and there is a backup tool that will let you basically copy all of your data to an external drive, and move it back onto the new drive you swap in.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/puppeteer/critic-reviewsPuppeteer seems to be getting great reviews. To bad it seems to be bombing hard, just like the awesomeness that's Rayman Legends. Kind of depressing, Mario seems to be the only platformer that's selling well.
-
Rayman Legends is apparently doing quite well on the Wii U. (at least for Wii U sales standards) Which makes sense considering the game was basically made for that.

I don't buy the notion that RML was "made" for the Wii-U. That game was always going to go multiplatform. It's Ubisoft.
