I found this chapter fairly exciting contrary to what some seem to be saying. I feel like all the contestants that were focused on brought something interesting. The Funk Brothers especially surprised me and Ideo was really cool. I liked the bandit the least but his weapon sniping was a nice surprise. Funniest part of the chapter was Bobby Funk trying to calm down Kerry, only to realize that he was helping him xD

Depends on how much money you donate. At a certain point you can choose your own colour and also get a bunch of users under you. It's a pretty neat system.

IDK if anyone brought this up yet, it's pretty far-fetched though.
But from the sheer looks of the fused Funk Bros I have to admit that they remind me of Rocky Balboa (the hat, Kerry's "hair curl" hanging into his face and his face expression in general - the half open eyes to begin with). Though I admit that Sly is as tall as Kerry b4 he fuses with Bobby.What do you think?
I also think that Diamante looks a lil bit like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith judging from what we saw of Diamante's face yet. -

I think that Don Chinjao will gain respect for Luffy in the end. Being beaten will not be enough though, Luffy will again do something that only him can do, like helping his sons/grandsons (#13 and the other)…

Don chinjao has a 500 bounty so i expect the ring will be destroyed , ore he decreased a lot in terms of power, ceaser had 300 so we can expect he gonna be a tough match up, i hope most of these guys go away except ideo he remindem of lucci.

Is anyone else fearing Oda will skip over the rest of the Fuji/Law/Dofla bout? I wouldn't be suprised if Dofla's powers aren't shown more fully until he fights Luffy but I would like to see how Law compares to an admiral.

I also doubt Oda will skip the fight. It is a perfect chance to hype Fujitora/Doflamingo and to show us a little bit more about their DF abilities.

Or he might want to keep some surprises about Doflamingo and Fujitora's abilities like he did with most of the top tiers in the Marineford arc.
He won't skip the whole fight but he won't show everything IMO.Or the fight will get interupted by a call from Sakazuki who'll then explain to Fujitora (and by extension the readers) what's up with Doflamingo.

To be fair, Terry and Dory Funk are from quite a few eras back. They aren't exactly household names. A (presumably)young adult, or someone who isn't an avid pro wrestling fan not drawing the parallel right away shouldn't be all that surprising.

He doesn't "skip" fights like Kishi but Ace vs Aokiji, Garp/Sengoku vs Blackbeard were only a panel or 2. We haven't seen Shanks vs Kaidou at all and Whitebeard vs Shanks ended after one clash. Not attacking Oda-sensei at all but he is the fan of quick fight panels (as where Kishi shows pre-fight and then post-fight).

Let's that in the battles you mention it was a bad idea to continue to fight while in this case Law have to defend and Fujitora seems to want a good fight.
