@No:
There's places which unconditionaly love every single chapter of Fairy Tail, so naturaly someone has to even things out :ninja:
And Toriko, while good, never realy has been beyond reasonable critique. We have a rather bland title character, speeding through every arc, skipping interesting plot points, and then sometimes not making sense.
My favourite bit of minor critique is that guys like Wagon first showed up in the same chapter where they all died and it was presented like this big, realy shocking thing, as opposed to killing that masked chick (whose name I forgot) who was actualy interacting with the characters up till that point.
Hah, true. But I like to think the guys who love Toriko have somewhat more taste than the guys loving Fairy tail.
I don't disagree (apart from Toriko as a character, I think he's refreshing, and though generic, effective), but I'm just trying to get to the bottom of why everyone else loves the shit out of it, especially the latest arc, which is the biggest dose of fanservice anyone can ever hope to get.
Chiru maybe? I don't know, I don't even remember that scene. All the more testament to your point I guess.
@Cyclone_Baroness:
I think this forum just has more people that are more critical towards everything they read or watch. Except OPM and Kango Banchou, the manliest manga to ever man.
I'm going to have to ask you to enlighten me on what OPM is.
I dunno, One Piece and SnK are, at least for ongoing shounen, loved. It probably does seem like this forum is critical in general since the best of the best manga are not ongoing, or rarely have chapters (expect Vagabond, which I have no idea why the thread of which is either inactive or doesn't exist).
