This chapter was pretty good. Lols to the non believers. The King really did have a crazy awesome punch. Could it take out a Yonko? Probably not, but it's still awesome to see. I'm glad Oda is at least giving a little bit of a break from the tournament by showing Franky's plot.

I gotta admit, it would be interesting to see Bartolomeo vs Don Chiago; just to see if that headbutt can smash those barriers or not.

That's not really a good measure since he's got a devil fruit that can generate a barrier that strong. It's not like he stood there and took it without doing something. If he didn't have that power he'd be knocked out with the others most likely otherwise.

Im thinking now that Bellamy was defeated and how he hinted he could not fail that Doflamingo is gonna cast him aside and later one he is gonna help the Strahats or play some other role.

To be honest I have no idea where to place Shanks in the New World. Piror to a certain color spread I thought he would just derp around in the NW, minding his own business and living the good life of a pirate. It's hard to picture him scheming & sneaking subordinates into a tournament, but his recent "evil face" appearance can't be ignored.

Okay, so as to 'It will go to that person'… maybe Luffy? Perhaps, just perhaps, Barty is aiming to give the fruit to the one person most people know would want it - Straw Hat Luffy, the brother of Ace - and if so, perhaps he wants something in exchange...?
Just a random thought. (I'm actually pegging Barty as the tough-exterior, soft-interior character type. I've no proof of it, but it would be hilariously funny if he's all soft and squishy on the inside. XD )
This would actually in my book turn out epic. If he just wanted to do the right thing for instance and ask nothing in return. Probably becomes one of my top characters in a second.

Why do you keep saying this? Ability can be countered with haki, otherwise Law wouldn't need to get in a partnership with Luffy and make some elaborate plan. He would just go to every island and solo everyone if he could cut everyone. He can't because a few people with noticeable stronger haki are able to counter it I would imagine. If someone is strong enough, they will break his barrier and tank him. The King had a strong attack but not good enough for someone of Barto's level.
If this punch couldn't injure Barto, it couldn't do much to a Yonko, who is much stronger. It's really that simple… Shanks stopped Akainu's fist with a mediocre sword due to his crazy defensive armament haki.
I hope we get to see the winners of Group A B C D fight the 4 henchmen of DD. Maybe we can get to the final after those fights with Burgess vs Luffy and interrupt the fight there. It seems pointless and irritating to me that the much stronger characters win their groups and we miss any of their real fights (which are much, much more interesting that fights like Group B) because the tournament gets interrupted too early. I really want to see Jesus vs Bart and Luffy vs Cavendish. Jesus would likely be the one to break Barto's defense due to his overpowering strength and Luffy beating the guy who is mad at the Supernova's fame would be beautiful to watch, especially if he got pummeled at the end. I don't think Luffy will be the one beating Barto's defense, it will be someone else and it would be interesting if Jesus is the one that does.
It would be nice for the story to move in other directions for a chapter every time a group or 1v1 fight later on if the tournament is not stopped ends. Would keep the tournament fresh and it wouldn't heavily focus on one aspect of a storyline when there are 8-9(?) going at this point. I never thought of it, but the idea of Barto getting the fruit for Luffy would be really amazing. It would be very intriguing to see a strong pirate look up to Luffy.

What a weird chapter. Somehow all the losing characters in this chapter feel like they need to show up again to get closure. Ricky was barely there and did nothing, but I feel we're see him again. Even that lameo Bluegilly feels like a tough fighter despite losing. I wonder what's coming later.

That punch was really cool. I'm getting a little bit annoyed how stuff like this still hasn't been covered at this point. And I'm not referring to just the king, but a couple of other strong characters in general. I want it to be more than just weight lifting/training. I needs to be something a bit more interesting, like a martial art or form of conditioning. And further more maybe even shown to be incorporated into someone in the crew or relevant to the future plot to some degree. Though I don't want this level of power available to anyone….it still needs to retain some level of uniqueness amongst new world pirates.
As for the punch itself. Does anyone know how the strength behind it was relayed to the surroundings area. Was it a shock wave or boom from its speed? I'm scratching my head at this. Maybe I missed something really obvious skimming through the chapter.

Yes but we are not just talking about anyone stronger, we are talking about Yonkos, who are 4 of the strongest 5-7 characters in this world. I agree that someone that could just be stronger that Barto but not a monumental amount (ie Yonko) wouldn't have as good a defense due to his ability.

Really enjoyed this chapter. Bart's ability is pretty cool, definitely interested to see what his weakness ends up being. He seems a bit OP right now. Next up is the C block! Where the real shit begins for Luffy. I think that the evidence is just stacking up towards Ricky being related to or is Kyros himself. Old Age? Hating DD? If he hates DD maybe he did something to be erased from the minds of the country, or forbidden to be spoken of thus being erased from history. Still wouldn't explain why the statue was left there though. \

Maybe Barto is working for the other yonkou that everyone keeps forgetting, Shanks
or maybe a former whitebeard pirate like marco.I came to say the same things.
I also very much expect to see others except Law-Luffy and Kidd/Basil/Apoo trying to take down a Yonkou.

Not really. Fricking Bellamy was beginning to figure him out within a few pages
and that in itself implies that he has something in his skill set other than just good defence, though I'm not sure what that will be in his case. We have a handful of interesting options available to him.
Which is interesting for me. Seeing a df user not rely solely on ones powers, but have it as only half of the skill set needed to be strong.
