But he's born out of clear racism. Disney doesn't want to be associated with that. And he's not a particularly compelling villain anyway to do a proper comic book adaption like Thanos, Magneto or Loki. Same reason why Fox is never going to do a movie that stars a proper Psylocke (who is the most racist character in comics, and only Marvel seems to be ignorant to it).

The blonde British girl whose body was turned into an Asian and suddenly started doing "typical" Asian stuff like be a ninja, act like a dragon lady, dress like a caricature, etc.
Basically a complete fetishization of Asian women. Just not the experience of actually being Asian. Or just yellowface. Some pretty notable Asian creators in comics have openly noted their distate for this joke character, but Marvel keeps on chugging with this character, because if characters stop looking like their favourite Jim Lee characters, the nostalgic people who don't read comics anymore anyway might be confused! (Though Psylocke finally started wearing pants a couple months back, after 23 years of thongs. Progress!)

My comic-book knowledge: Mandarin is a villain whos got some rings of power or something. Extremis is the armor coming to life or something.
Best Marvel movie bar Avengers.
Minor issues to be sure, but I was HELLA entertained.
I'm sorry Nolan, DC…this is the superhero movie format for me. Just a fun, upbeat good time.

In a way, I'm almost thankful that the only suerhero comic exposure we got in my country was Spidey, X-men, Batman and Supes (eventually dwindling to just spidey).
It allows me complete blank-slatedness when walking into these movies. Hell, when Iron Man 1 came out, all I knew was "isn't he the villain from Civil War?"
I distincly remember Iron Man showing up and blasting Venom in the junk in the old Spidey show

Well, she was a blonde who dyed her hair to purple (looked lighter than the deep purple nowadays) and was born British. But that changed
Unless Marvel did another "Lets switch the origians!" … her mind was transferred (by Spiral's help) into a Japanese woman who was not only dying but was lover to the ninja who was head of HAND. Spiral was her usual sneaky self and actually mixed the two memories. So Besty became a ninja whose body's original black hair somehow became dark purple and acted Japanese and different in many regards to her old self (before she acted with class now she acted like a ... well I will be nice and say she dresses like a sexpot).
I remember new fans didn't believe she was British. I, for one, loved her old self and wasn't impressed with the ninja incarnation.
I was surprised as hell when I found out Psylocke was originally a British woman with the help of Ultimate X-Men. Pretty lame, if you ask me.
Also Demon Rin, they didn't really create an alien race for Avengers. Wasn't the aliens in the movie the Chitauri, which were in the Ultimate Universe?
Oh no, two references to that terrible place so far–I should stop now.
The Mandarin is Iron Man's greatest adversary only because all of Iron Man's other enemies are bland, business men in robosuits or just laughable cannon fodder.
I really enjoyed the absolutely earliest marvel stuff where it was just silly stuff with fuck all continuity

They don't have the rights to Galactus. And they already got the core essence of Thanos right in a 10 second scene. He'll probably get that gauntlet too because Marvel is doing an upcoming Thanos event called Infinity and Marvel loves putting out comics that are similar to their movies, so they can put convenient trades on the rack when the movie comes out.

Technically, Marvel studios doesn't own the Fantastic Four IP, so I don't think they can use Galactus. As for Thanos, I suppose since he was introduced in The Avengers, and it was apparently Joss Whedon's idea to include him in the first place, that he'll have a pretty good bit of control over Thanos, so I'm not too worried about that.
They should also start planning for the 'Squirrel Girl' movie for phase 3 as well.

Well… Ask any big monster movie director etc. how they make a big monster movie work. Movies like Godzilla, Cloverfield, and the upcoming Pacific Rim.
Also. Galactus isn't that huge, and he can change size being omni...a lot and all.

Wasn't it confirmed that they're planning on doing a 'Doctor Strange' movie in the Marvelverse? That seems like it would be a strange movie to make based on science and technology.
Aliens and cosmic beings weren't a thing in the Marvel Cinematic U until Thor. the Dr. Strange movie, if it happens, would most likely be the movie that does for magic what Thor did for aliens. Strange's origin would be the perfect spot to adequately explain how magic works in the MCU. introducing it in the Iron Man movies wouldn't feel right, they would have to explain way too much that's not related To what's going on.

Like I said. They had the Tezzerat, and soon, the omni Infinity Gauntlet–both alien artifacts. Taking out the 'magic' rings is silly.

Apparently, the probability and reality manipulator Scarlet Witch and the super speed-star Quicksilver (the daughter and son of Magneto) were just confirmed for The Avengers 2.

I've read that both Fox and Marvel Studios can use the two of them, but Marvel Studios would hafta work around Wanda and Pietro being mutants. I think that takes away from their characters, and they'd probably be made into S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. I'd rather that not be the case.
