So, what I'm gleaming from this thread is that a bunch of posters only want someone to eat the Flame-Flame Fruit if that character is "strong". Yeah, that's basically a bunch of bullshit. I'm not going to exclude the possibility that someone who's higher up on the totem pole will get the fruit, but to deny a character because you don't think they'll be strong enough is to prioritize some stupid perception of characters over what could be some awesome character and story moments.
Why exactly is a weakling getting the fruit being bullshit? Oda can write awesome story moments without the fruit, I think he has done ok so far without it. I do however find it pretty silly how defensive you are getting over a character that has been shown.. for a single chapter.
