      @Jabra:

      I simply assumed Oda has to barf the big reveals allover the floor now, with so little time and so many stories left to tell. But I like your take. It's too awfully convenient for my taste to praise it, but it seems likely that this was his idea.

      I'm sorry, I'm a little out of the loop here. Why does Oda have little time to tell his stories? Is there some kind of deadline that I'm not aware of?

      THAT PERSON is not Sabo. The mysterious person that just showed up is actually a cupmaker that lived in the same island as Luffy when Luffy was a child. He made the three cups that sealed the friendship between Luffy, Sabo and Ace. He was really fond of the children and they liked him back. He is the one that left the cups on Ace's grave. After Sabo was killed he went to look for him, but his boat was hit by a storm and sank. He ended up in another island and became a pirate. His dream is to find the Legendary Cup "Horu Graaru" and to become the best cupmaker in the world

      To me he died when he refused his status as a noble. Fucking farmer.

    • RE: Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"

      Such a great chapter!

      • Everything was perfect. Really. The cover story was kind of too long, but the ending was good.

      • Barto and Bellamy development was great. We saw a little of Barto's ethics - he does value fighting and friendship - and his interaction with Bellamy was gold. We saw that Barto's dream is to follow Luffy and Bellamy doesn't have a dream/reason to exist anymore. I don't think they will join the Strawhat crew. If I have to guess now I would say that Bellamy will join Barto's crew and they will sail under Luffy's command.

      • Great setup with the Toy Soldier and Franky, Robin and Usoland. They have a specific objective know - take down Sugar. They need to face Trebol and Lao G and Dillinger are going to the factory as well. Great build up!

      • Bart and Bellamy interaction with Luffy was great too and it was greatly interrupted. I must admit that I never cared much about Sabo. I never saw enough of him to care and he was always a "comeback" character to me - planted in Ace's flashback to someday make a great appearance. But I really liked the timing of his comeback. Right after Big Mom's surprise, with so much going on, with us believing that Barto was the one that was going after the Mera Mera - bam, Sabo appeared. I really liked the lack of drama in his appearance. Oda didn't use any manga cliche like he does with Law smirk-ass. It felt great. Koala was great too and it was great to see Rebecca with an ally (a woman that doesn't look like Nami!).

    • RE: [Theory] The Inherited Will, "One Piece"

      @Monkey:

      Pluton is a battleship, and those appear to be three giant monsters. I'm thinking we can rule out them being Pluton.

      You don't need to come up with a different idea of what they are to say that your idea doesn't make sense though.

      Pluton is battleship.

      The first one isn't canon, and the second one isn't a ship. It's a passenger seating area added on top of a fish. It's a glorified saddle.

      Yes, that's the one that's not called a battleship prior to when we found out about it. A person can be a weapon, that's a pretty normal figure of speech.

      In the OP universe ships are still ships though. So giant monster people can't be battleships.

      Heeello MK.

      Two Predictions: Aokiji x Fujitora / The Definitive Truth about Zoro's eye.

      Aokiiji vs Fujitora

      Teach is trying to get fruits for his whole crew (this is going to be part of his downfall - his hungriness for power). He found Aokiji after the fight against Akainu. Teach made a deal with him: Aokiji would help him to find fruits for his crew and then he would help Aokiji to take Akainu down. Teach made a list and splitted the crew through the world. That's why Burgess is trying to get the Mera Mera alone. But one of the Black Beard Pirates is captured by Akainu and tortured by him. Akainu gets the list and sees the name of Aokiji in it and gets furious with trash that makes deals with pirates. He sents Fujitora to capture Aokiji.

      Aokiji went to the dinosaur's island where the two giants were fighting. They are not there anymore.

      Fujitora finds him and they start to fight. Aokiji then says this famous sentence: [

      .](

      ).. and starts freezing the whole island, but Fujitora points his sword to the sky and says: "I think you are wrong, my friend… EXTINCTION".

      A great shadow engulfs the island. The dinosaurs look at the sky. Aokiji look at the sky. A meteor destroys the whole place.

      The Definitive Truth About Zoro's Eye: Zoro's pride and Sanji's pride

      Sanji was trying to learn Hell's Wink from Ivankov, but he messed up and exploded his left eye/eye socket. Turns out he always had his hair covering the right side of his face because he had lost his right eye in a aciddent during childhood tripping over a sword. Now he is completely blind and it is already time to go and meet the crew. Sanji says that he is going to sail alone and that is love for Nami-chan and Robin-chan is going to guide his way. Turns out he ends up by going to the right way and ends up by meeting Zoro going to the opposite direction. Zoro finds out what happened and gives his left eye to Sanji. He then proceeds to make a little cut over his own face saying: "Don't worry, nobody is going to know about it".

      Sanji face is in the darkness. He is facing the ground. He looks up: "Oi... How am I going to find the right direction with this eye?"

      Zoro does a Nami face: "SHUT UP AND BE MORE GRATEFUL, you shitty cook!"

      They argue and make a bet about who is going to get there first. While they part ways Sanji smile, looks at Zoro and thinks: "That guy... Did he expect to me cry in gratefulness... But this eye wont shed a tear. (Small panel with Zoro covering in blood after TB) Oi, is he going to the wrong direction already?" (Yes, he is).

      Later in the manga when Luffy becomes the Pirate King they are going to be known as "The Left and The Right Eye of the King" and the common folk will say: "They say that when the king lays his eyes down upon you you are a dead man" and some will think that this infamous sentece is about Luffy's power, but a few survivors will know that this is in fact a testimony of the terrible power of Black Leg Sanji and Pirate Hunter Zoro.

      @The:

      I'm sorry, but it sounds like you don't like fanservice either? Because I totally agree, having dwarves crawl all over Robins privates isn't exactly promoting her character.

      Oh, sorry, I misread what you wrote.

    • RE: Dumb Predictions

      Ok, a better version of my theory.

      Think… How many moms have you seen in One Piece? How many of them still live? Yes, none. Moms have the highest mortality in a world where Pell is alive.

      We have a dead Banchina (Usopp's mom), a dead Bell-mère (Nami's adoptive mom), a dead Otohime (mermaid queen), a dead Nico Olvia (Robin's mom), a dead Nefertari Titi (Vivi's mom, queen of Alabasta), a dead Portgas D. Rouge (Ace's mom) and a dead Scarlett (Rebecca's mom).

      But there is a mom that lives:

      !

      Big Mom. The strongest Mom in OP. She has the Mom Mom Fruit. The fruit increases the mortality of moms around the world and everytime a mom dies Big Mom becomes stronger and a little bigger. She drains the lifeforce of moms. That's not all. You may have noticed that there are a lot of female characters that look like Nami. Big Mom ages really slowly. When she was young she looked just like Nami. She is the original Nami. Nami and every other character that look just like her are Big Mom's daughter. They have really narrow waists so they will die during childbirth thus making Big Mom stronger and passing her genes to the next generation. That's why some women have that waist in OP. Women with narrow waists that don't look like Nami resemble their fathers instead of Big Mom. That's not all. Crocodile is Luffy's mom. She discovered Big Mom's power and asked Ivankov to change her gender. That's half the reason "he" wanted Luffy dead. He wanted to be sure that he was not a mom anymore. That's why Luffy didn't live with Dragon. Dragon was trying to protect him from Crocodile. That's the reason Crocodile is known as such. Because crocodiles sometimes eat their own babies.

    • RE: What do you think of the way women are portrayed in OP?

      @The:

      Fanservice isn't a genre. Its a cheap tool to grab the attention of horny kids, despite whatever shortcomings the main focus of your product have (in FTs case, being an fantasy action adventure which is aggressively mediocre). Fanservice is almost always a vestigal acessory that can be excised from the main product without any quality dropoff, usually quite the opposite.

      I disagree. When we have fanservice we usually don't have the women being anything more than an sexual object. A manga with 16 pages per week has a very limited space and when we have fanservice we don't have that character being/doing whatever she is/do. We only have the sexual gag. An example of this is when Robin meet the dwarves. We have nothing of Robin development in EIGHT PAGES. Her interactions come down to the dwarves crawling over her body and trying to strip her.

      Big Mom has the Mom Mom fruit. She drains the lifeforce of moms around the globe and becomes stronger and bigger (more power if the dead mom were a queen). She doen'st need to do anything. She just increases the mortality of moms and becomes stronger when they die. Crocodile is Luffy's mom. She discovered Big Mom's power and asked Ivankov to change her gender. Big Mom wants power, but her B plan is to conquer the world through her genes. She only gives birth to girls and the girls born from Big Mom have really narrow waist so they will die during childbirth thus giving more power to Big Mom and spreading her genes to the world. When she was young she looked like Nami so that's why there are a lot of women looking like Nami. They are all Big Mom's daughters. All women with narrow waists that don't look like Nami are Big Mom's daughters that resemble their fathers.
