How can you be disappointed by Zoro's solution? It's one of these things he'll come up with when the situation seems desperate, even if it's retarded and useless at least it's better than just running away or getting killed without putting a fight.

See, I was pretty amused by it myself as it's a thoroughly Zoro answer to the situation. People who are calling it stupid or retarded are forgetting that, despite his levelheadedness, Zoro is dumber than a bag of hammers. Hell, by Zoro's standards, this is actually fairly smart.
Far as I'm concerned, Usopp's lucky that it's Zoro he's handcuffed to (and that particular arm as well as he winds up with Yubashira this way rather than Kitetsu) and not Luffy, who would eventually forget about the cuffs and try to use Bazooka or something similar.

The fight Chopper is having with Kumadori is probably meant to be as development for Chopper and his points. I think Chopper recognized what Kumadori was doing, saying it is some sort of complete body control. So if Chopper stumbles upon brain point and figures it out he may be able to use his own points without depending upon the rumble ball anymore.

That's right! Kumadori's body control technique would be usefull to someone who is currently not is control of his body. Nice, now Kumadori seems to be the perfect opponent for Chopper.

Sogesword is the only real way to fight at this time.
Zoro would do better swinging Sogeking and a sword in one arm, than to swing the sword with Sogeking attached to his wrist. He would be dragging Sogeking if he did such a thing. Since Zoro is so strong, just lifting Sogeking and swinging him with a sword, isn't as difficult.
this chapter was good and all. I was looking foward to seeing a new move from franky. Not just a coup de vent. Oh well it was good. I'll think i am going to enjoy this fight a lot more once i read all the chapters at once and in english or in the anime

Mostly because I think Kaku doesn't like his devils fruit, mostly because he's so defensive about how much he loves giraffes. I think it messes with his head to have everyone laugh at him, and he's getting kinda irritated after being such a relatively badass guy

I'm sure once the cuffs are off, we will get some Sogeking action.
Also Kaku and Jyabura are essentially equals, and Kaku seems to have an attitude, so of coursethey querral. And that helps Zoro and Sogeking who are more or less half of each other, cope.
Zoro needs both hands to use his 3 sword style. Usopp needs both hands to use Kabuto. This isn't a team up, they are actually at a disadvantage being like that, than being solo.
Of course they're not going to fight like that! It's just a gag, a bit of fun while the others get the right key; that's when the real fights will start. Let's hope Fukurou-kun has the right key, though, if not for ZoroKing, at least Robin's. And no, Zoro has never ever been clever, please re-read his statement about chopping parts off and stitching them back for further proof and refer to Little Garden if you still aren't convinced.
Otherwise, lovely lovely chapter and yes, I shouted out, too. The question of Chopper's development should be answered soon, although I'm not really satisfied with his loss of control. I expected something radically new (healing! healing!), but for now it seems we're in for a rehash of his Points, a fairly chaotic one, but that's where the innovation ends. I hope I'm wrong, I'm keeping my fingers crossed so Chopper will at least forego using Brain Point to end the battle, I find that move so very cheap.
Sigh… I wish we could see more of Nami, though, Chopper's ok but I find her fight the most interesting.

Can you tell me how he'd be fighting today if he didn't happen to be rescued and sat there? He'd probably die anyway, due to blood loss or them killing him. He certainly wouldn't be the fighter he is right now, that's for sure. But he'd stand a chance at living, which is a chance worth taking.

I like it aswell because it makes kaku so endearing it's like his like for giraffes is a secret pleasure and he gets defensive whenever it's mocked and a little embarassed. Which I think is nice to see from someone with so much fighting skills (sorta reminds you that they have interests too).

I realize that the possiblity of tag teams and maybe temporary switching could take place. Zoro should fight Kaku since he's a swordsman and Jyaura is as insecure as Ussop is right now, but I think Ussop deserves to at least get a good impact of Kaku, for destroying the Going Merry and everything.
Oh, please, there are always dozens of things you can do, I'll list a few if you really can't come up with some by yourself: cut a hole in the floor like he did in Whiskey Peak, either as a means of escape or to have his pursuers fall through it; slice and dice some walls and start throwing the chunks at them to slow them down; turn back and fake a fight in order to get away when they make a plunge for him; heck, I'm sure Zoro knows a lot of moves that only need two swords! Kaku and Jabura aren't half as invincible as they seem, they're proving themselves immature right now and we all know they're going to have their asses handed down to them in a few chapters. This is far from a "desperate" situation, and self mutilation might save you once, but it will leave you ruined for life. I know it can be overcome, but Zoro could hardly continue with his three-sword style if he's missing a hand, and without feet he might as well give up is dream of becoming the world greatest swordsman (without feet he wouldn't have the necessary muscles to jump, much less dodge attacks).
Please do not try to rebuke every possible solution I've proposed in this post, since that's not the point, the point is the losing a hand is not a good idea, and the fact that he comes up with it quite often shows that Zoro is pretty brainless.
I'm going to bed now, so let's call a truce and leave it at that.
My entire point was about Whiskey Peak. We can be sure he just threw that idea out there now, seeing as he and Usopp are both intact….

Shi Son Son requires both hands to cut, and Zoro must concentrate. It's hard to do that with a stampede on one's tail, and especially hard when Zoro requires both hands to effective administer the power.
I'm sure the handcuffs will come off soon and the real fight will start (or the fight will end quickly), but it would be nice to see a really serious fight after all this insanity in a comparitively dark story arc.
Honestly, I don't think any of Zoro's battles since Das Bones has had the same level of intensity, and after the amount of ass Usopp kicked during his fight with Luffy, it would suck for him to go back to acting weaker again (especially facing enemies that he actually should be that focused against).

The difference is, if Zoro had just said "OK, I think I'll have to cut my wrist off", then I'd think he was serious, but since he was including Usopp in it, knowing full well that he would never agree to it, it seems more like he's messing with him. It wouldn't be the first time Zoro joked around with something morbid. But he could be serious too, it wouldn't surprise me either way.
