@Mysterion:
And in the following episodes they accept that they need Claymores to deal with Yomas. Yeah… maybe you shouldn't have raised the big "Claymore ban" in the first place guys? Thats like ringing a bell for yomas to come and take part in a free buffet.
Most places didn't even know Yoma existed, and they were so rare and in small number it wasn't exactly a recurring problem in any given place. Banning the witches you do know about has no bearing on inviting the demons you don't know about.
Any event, that hypocrisy was the entire point of that story.
Males get sexually stimulated and start crossing their limits prematurely? What kind of silly and horrible excuse is that? Women are no different from men when it comes to sexual stimulation.
It wasn't a sexual thing. Its addiction to the power, energy and side effects of demon powers. Its like sex, but its greater than the rush of sex, by far. And on that point, men ARE built differently from women. Different horomones, (Testosterone especially) chemicals, structure, upbringing and natural instinct.
Women might have just as much interest in sex as men, but they're also less likely to go out and hunt wild animals for fun. Men are more likely to be violent or rape. Women are more likely to be nurturing and less physically strong. This applies in nature as well as humanity.
I know for a fact that a girl can spot and react to something sexually arousing twice as fast as they normally do with something dangerous. They are also for a fact worse than men when it comes to sexual drive, so this exscuse is just bullshit.
Uhm. What?
Rigard/Rigaldo - I have no problem with Rigardo, i'll say that now. What I didnt like is how his episodes showed me yet another plot hole, which leads back to Clare. She was helpless when he first showed up, and in the end decapitated him with multiple slashes, into bits and pieces. Why? Because she kept saying "More, more", hinting to me that she was reflecting back on the problem men had with their stimuli for wanting more. Clare is a plotkai wielding problem and she made use of it.
First of all, thats when the anime went its own path and stopped following the manga, so there's a lot of differences at that point and the anime goes to crap.
Secondly, Clare won that fight because she went into Berserker mode and tapped into newfound strength and speed, rapidly mutating her limbs to full unleashed mode while retaining control of her mind (something that just does NOT happen) and surprised him… and SHE got addicted to power, energy and side effects of demon powers, and came this close to turning into a fullblown uncontrollable demon with none of her humanity. Which was something they'd been building up to the entire series.
HER wanting more power had nothing at all to do with sex or the fact that her opponent was a male. You've really misinterpreted the major plot point of addiction to demon power and apparently didn't understand that scene at all?
A claymore gets close to being a full blown demon, they give in the overwhelming pleasure and turn full demon. Its inevitable for any of them. Men just climax faster.
After finishing the anime which had more problems than the three I brought up but couldnt be bothered to ask about since I already know the reasoning behind them.
The anime went completely off rails the last several episodes.
It hadnt, it was a fest of introducing more and more characters and downplaying Raki even more.
Raki was never all that important and was kicked out of it pretty early once things got serious. He's back in the story now in any event.
The organization is evil, Ooooh. Im not surprised,
You shouldn't be, they never really made a secret of it?
but I will ask why they havent given this organization a NAMING yet? Wouldnt it be easier to call them by a name rather than "Organization"? There was the talk of Claymores being dubbed on the warriors, yet they deny that name and say they have none. Oh, give us more no named stuff that we have to adress in the most basic and bland way we can.
Because "The Organization" sounds cool. Just ask Kingdom Hearts. Its a legit name in and of itself, especially when its a bunch of guys trying to stay out of the limelight and annonymous. If it makes you feel any better, it is an actual name in Japanese.
The whole story is a drag, boring. Actions good, musics decent but thats it. Essentially not too different from Bleach.
Well, since you missed the entire point of the story, its not surprising you find it boring.
But it has actual story movement, character growth, and a logical progression of power… all of which Bleach doesn't. ANd backgrounds! It has backgrounds!
