Moria returning as a thin, stronger man would be kewl. Then a haki and shaved Crocodile and Buggy actually gotten powerful. Really wondering bout the post-time looks. :/
Chapter 662: Shichibukai Law vs VA Smoker

I think most people don't take into account that Monet (the painter) is actually his family name rather than first name.
If anything Mone is a bit less strange as a first name (not being a last name of a well-known male painter) and more feminine since it doesn't end with a consonant.Actually Mone is a strange name. I've always go through baby name books for charater names and in decade of doing that, I've seen Monet listed as a girl's name, sometimes (depending on year and location) in the top 500 names for girls. I've never seen Mone for girls… or at all.
-
You really don't read in between the lines very well do you, either that or your a troll
it's been made very clear that moria is nowhere near as powerful as he used to be
he used to be skinny in the past and it's presumed after his crew died (or massacured by kadiou) he began to not want companions that could die, so he made zombies, and since everyones weak against zombies because they can't kill them, he went from "I'll become the pirate king" To "Make me the pirate king" and thus he rellied soley on zombies and lack of physical fights made him weak and fat and so now the man who once fought a yonkou was to weak to even be considered a shichibukai
but now he's seen zombies can't get him there alone, he suffered an embarrassing defeat and now he's had two years to train, just like everyone I bet he's used the two years wisely and we'll get to see him at his peak again, I think it would be stupid for Oda to have him suffer that and have him still be lazy and unmotivated
@The:
I'm sorry…but I would in no way call Moriah a "top dog". He's completely and utterly useless without an army at his command. His Devil Fruit--though a cool concept--is pretty "meh" as well.
I always think Moriah has the potential to become one of the most powerful character, but his laziness and repressed trauma of losing his crew caused him to rely on his zombie soldiers to get what he wants, instead of actual training to reach the full potential of his Devil Fruit. I think the near-death experience he got in after the war might have taught him avaluable lesson.
Like I and dom said, he lost his power after losing his motivation because of his crews death, after his embarrassment he's sure to have trained and gotten back to the strength he used to have
you can't become a shichibukai by being as weak as he was, as doflamingo stated he lost power and relied to much on zombies, his peak was when he fought toe to toe with kaidou

New lame Warlord, great.
Bring back this guy!
Oh Beka, I was missing you. :ninja:
Anyway, this

Wow, just noticed something that's been bothering me since Brownbeard was revealed to be a crocodile centaur. Initially I thought these centaur were unnaturally made because I thought Brownbeard was shown before with regular legs, but looking back his legs were never shown in the panels. Now I know he's naturally a centaur and what not.
Also just noticed the other guy with the demon face was with him back then:

http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c661/3.html
His legs were not clearly shown either.Don't ask me how I thought the Centaurs were unnatural lol I forget Oda's world is crazy.

The first site I googled for that as a girl's name lists Mone as a variant of Monet. Also Monay for some reason.

So it's the same thing ultimately. -
Mola Ram would be proud of you Law.

ONE PIECE 662 RAW

Did anyone notice the new bounty pictures?
!

It may have been pointed out earlier but Law could have swapped Smoker's heart with something else. I don't know whether he has to SEE the object he is swapping, though.
-
She failed to apprehend a criminal, was defeated, mocked by another criminal for her failure and sense of justice, and had to let yet another criminal do her job for her.At which point did you see her feel anything positive through out the whole affair? I'm pretty sure she was crying by the end because she was made to feel weak and her sense of justice was trampled. The only reason she got to put handcuffs on Crocodile was because another pirate has beaten him for her, there was no sense of achievement or satisfaction in it.
Crocodile mocks Tashigi about being Justice being weak. Crocodile gets beaten by another pirate he considers weak, thus making him weaker than the pirate who beat him. Crocodile is then arrested by Tashigi, the same 'weak' marine he had earlier mocked for being unable to enforce justice, thus disproving his words.Tashigi's positives do not come out out of beating Crocodile. She got hers from being able to act on what was important at that time (helping the Straw-Hats find the bomb), and following her sense of justice (not arresting the Straw-Hats after they had saved the city). These are small contributions, but they are important. If she hadn't done these things, Vivi and Usopp would have been taken down by Baroque works, no one would have known the bomb was in the clocktower. Then they would have never been able to stop the bomb, and the war might very well have not ended because everyone died in the explosion. Luffy might have beaten Crocodile but then he would have lost his crew. But we're going off on a tangent here. Back to the original point of discussion, we weren't talking about Tashigi's personal senses of achievement, we're talking about whether she might be able to do anything in this arc after being verbally bitch-slapped by Law:The thing to remember is that Tashigi is a supporting character, not a main character, and this IS her role in the story. She will not the one beating the boss. She'll be the one helping the heroes on their way to beat the boss.If I had to make a guess I'd say most likely she'll find out something that sheds light on what's going on in Punk Hazard or a weakness in Law's technique that can be exploited etc. and pass that tip on to the Straw Hats in hopes of getting Smoker's heart back or something like that.
-
Anyone else surprised that we actually got to see the fight? I expected it to be only a two panel "fight" like Smoker vs Dragon and Smoker vs Ace.
-
Did anyone notice the new bounty pictures?
Its been gone over several times, those are not new bounties, that is just a newspaper article.
They used the pictures from the bounty posters for Franky, Robin & Chopper since for the most part, they did not get seen, save chopper by marines. We actually already saw Luffy's new bounty poster with the 400m beri ammount on cover of 616, it is the same picture as his first poster. -
@The:
Why should Oda bring back (used) garbage?
Because he's going back anyway? Or did you miss the the part where he made it obvious?
Also I like the part where you took a running gag seriously.
-

Now I know he's naturally a centaur and what not.
That doesn't mean he HAS to be a natural centaur, just that we can't know for certain.
For example, we now know that the "legs without a head and torso", was an unnatural result of Law's powers.
And the dragon was apparently Vegapunk's creation. So the centaurs, satyrs and harpy may not be natural. -
but seriously people need to get over smoker and tashigi, i didn't think they were anything big or special. tashigi was only there for a zoro storyline and smoker was just there cause we see that luffy is not unstoppable he has a weakness (just like eneru was weak againts luffy) in smoker with luffys haki smokers no match and probably will end up being an ally in the end or the one luffy ask to capture him cause by the time he becomes pirate king he'll have like a few days to live with all that life takeing things his done like ivas hormones and constant use of gear second/third..
anyways if there is a battle you expect its up againts the yonkos, akainu and blackbeard would be the most epic fight.
Blackbeards resume
Second divison crew mate in Whitebeards crew
the first who defeated the highest bounty in a character to date ace 550 mil beri
former shchbukai
current yonko
has 2 of the strongest df
half his crew is level 5 impel down prisonerssave your expectations for that fight and not some low ranked marines
From where u know ace was 550 M that never stated in the manga I never saw it

Just because Luffy's photo in this paper isn't his bounty hardly means some of these new pictures won't be new bounty photos, especially since at least 2 of them are much needed updated looks.

I'm not saying they could not become bounty posters, I acknowledge the possiblitlity of some of them being used.
I'm saying the photos we saw in the newsappers are not currently the official bounty posters as some people are saying. We can not call them bounty poster photos until the posters are shown with those photos.… thoguh I do argue on them "certainly" using Usopp's for some odd reason.
Believe me, I want the photo of Usopp to be used … but on re-reading the Buster Call at Enies Lobby, I am left wondering if the Marines would use it. I want to say "Of course they would! It only makes sense" but the Marines making a poster for Sogeking and using the masked photo instead of Usopp's makes me stop short.
They did see him without the mask during the Buster Call and Luffy yelled out "Usopp!" at one point. Here we see that Usopp can see the prop that Luffy is on, and the marine ships around them. Here we see there is nothing blocking the Marines from seeing Usopp as he took off the mask. If he can see Luffy, I expect some on the Marine ships to be able to see Usopp. Luffy shouts out Usopp's name.
I would think the Marines would be interested in someone that was able to inspire Luffy to get up from near defeat, and encouraged him to defeat Lucci as Usopp did when he gave the short "It aint like its Hell here" speach. yeah yeah, some fan do not think thats important …and certainly some (anti-usopp faction) would not say Usopp is strong, but it falls into the Maine's guidelines of a strong pirate - ability to inspire others... and the last panel on that link shows marines, including Vice-Admiral Momonga, watching the fight. We know they were able to see Luffy's fight, so they could see Usopp ...still without a mask.Even if we can argue that maybe some smoke or something stopped the marines on the ships form seeing Usopp clearly, the events after Luffy's defeat of Lucci, clearly shows some seeign Usopp.
In ch 428 when Usopp hollors out "Luffy's Won!", many of the Marines on the prop fighting the Strawhats look directly at him.So the Marines did see Usopp's face, and I think its likely they heard Luffy yelling out Usopp's name …yet they took a picture of Sogeking at Water Seven (around same time they got photos of Nami & Chopper) and used that title as the name on the bounty. They should have been able to get a picture of Usopp's face during the Buster Call, since they got one of Frank and Robin during that fight. Even if they didn't why not make a composite drawing like they did with Sanji?
-
I wonder if Yasopp's seen the new bounty posters yet.
-
It's not about who the marines as a whole see but who the photographer sees. His name is Flaming Attachan if I remember correctly. You don't think everyone saw Sanji and no one knows what he looks like? It just so happen that Attachan only shot Sogeking and had a lens cap on while shooting Sanji. Even if Flaming Attachan had other photos of unmasked Usopp they probably thought that was his usual get up and went with that. Since the mask hasnt been seen by the Marines in 2 years, and we know through Kuma that had intel on who he was anyway, chances are they'd use this new unmasked photo.

I wonder if Yasopp's seen the new bounty posters yet.
I always wonder what Yasopp's reaction would/will be to seeing Usopp's bounty poster.

At first I didn't notice the break thing.
Then someone told me it was off next week.
Then someone said it was on a TWO WEEK BREAK.

Yeah if its a 2 week break, it'll be hard. I really want to see more of Monet!
But I understand Oda deserves a break so I won't go crying for more … at least in in public ;) -

If it is indeed true that Yasopp is on Shank's crew, then he probably saw it. And how come we didn't see Yasopp when Shanks came to end the war?

I wasn't saying that I didn't know he was on Shanks' crew, I just wasn't sure, so there was really no need to snap at me for that. And now that I'm taking a closer look at the picture, I assume that he's the guy to the right. So I'm terribly sorry if I was too stupid to know a small detail that I was just wondering about.~

Yasopp being on Shanks' crew is no small detail. That's like not knowing that Mihawk is a warlord.
-
To be fair Yasopp looks pretty different from when he was first introduced. Stop giving him such a hard time, there isn't a need to be a dick about it.
-
or he could probably new to one piece, you really cant miss yasopp his names on his head most of the time..

Krule, my friend, …. I seriouslly hope thats sarcasm. Yasopp was indeed there. He's changed his looks, buffed up but its him. I colored Yasopp from that scene, its in my One Piece collection at DA. True, its an old pice and I need to redo it...but it shows that Yasopp was there.
Here is one where I erased everyone else but Yasopp and the hint of Shank's cape & leg, it shows that YAsopp was standing to the (ours in veiwing) right and here I did not erase the others but did a close up on YasoppEdit= typed this as others were typing too.

Not only moved to them, it was covered by the cape so only the S and O were seen. So its understandable someone missed it if Krule is new and didn't see earlier chapter before the War's end - the chapter 434 titled "Whitebeard and Redhaired" shows Yasopp's tattoo of "YASO" clearly.
-
Because "so" is clearly how you spell "yasopp", yup that is totally clear to everyone, how on earth could anyone miss that? = =

okay okay this arguement needs to stop here and now before even worse is said!
It is okay if we argue and make points, but we can not resort to crude namecalling, it IS a public forum.
I would think that if it went too far that it mods responces may be worse than just removing the offending post.
Who knows, maybe if someone was too offensive they may get banned. So please refrain from crude namecalling and cussing.
-
Just thought I'd point out that Yasopp's appearance (at least his hair) has been consistent since chapter 96.
-
Besides all that yasopp stuff I think zoro should take a shot at law , luffy's taken down enough warlords as it is and on top he challenged big mama.
-
I have been trying for the life of me to figure out who the hell you guys are talking about…
Who the hell is Yasopp...
And for that matter, who is this Shanks, did they just get introduced and I missed it somehow?

…you know I was about to ask how you can't know then I slapped myself and asked are you new to OP and being serious or a old fan and being sarcastic?
I'd be more than happy to tell newbies about these characters that get less showtime (both in anime and manga) than the Whitebeard Pirates but are more important to the Strawhats than any Whitebeard Pirate except Ace,
IF you're beign sarcastic ...please blow rasberies at me ;)

I think it depends if Law even considers himself a swordsmen as well. Would be interesting to see Zoro take on someone as powerful as Law and have a real fight. Hyouzou ended up being fodder for him. Imagine how ashamed Tashigi would feel if Zoro beats Law where she failed so miserably.

Please enlighten me…I'm so lost....

Please enlighten me…I'm so lost....
Shanks and his crew - the Redhaired Pirates were first seen at the very begining of the series(Romance Dawn). Shanks is the one that inspired Luffy to become a pirate and gave Luffy the strawhat when Luffy was only 7 yrs old with the promise that Luffy becomes a great pirate and finds him at sea "to return the hat".
Yasopp is Usopp's father. He first met Shanks 22 years ago as shown it the ch.0 Strong World. Its unknown exactly when Yasopp joined the Redhaired Pirates, but was with them when they first appeared in Luffy's hometown 1 year before begining of sereis, when Luffy and Usopp were 6 yr olds.
Odd thing about Yasopp, he first appeared as a lanky build with blond wavy hair. next appearance in ch 96 he appears with dreads, he's in shadows so he cant see how much he's bulked up but his arm shows he's not as lanky…ironically the anime shows him meeting Daddy Masterson as lanky but with dreadlocks. in the Strong World chapter, it shows him lanky but with black hair 20 yrs ago. Here are two links to OP wikia to read their bois to get caught up= Yasopp and Shanks
They normally don't get much air time, appearing at end of the major arcs.
After the first chapter, they show up at end of the East Blue Arc in ch 96 although we see some of young Shanks in Buggy's brief flashback in ch 19.
other appearances=
ch 234 on a winter island. a few cahpters after end of the Baroques Works saga
ch 434 after Enies Lobby / Water 7
then at end of the war in chs579and 580 and that was last we've seen of them. They will likely (hopefully) next be seen at end of current arc, first one in the new world. -
Oh thank-you for the help, I guess he is pretty important to the series, even if he doesn't show up often…
But you mentioned someone else that I've only heard about on the forums but have never actually seen..
Who is Buggy? Does he have some type of insect fruit or something, or am I completely off base?
-
you're off the mark, buggy's fruit allows him to transform into a buggy car.
