@thewonderer:
^How about all of you guys just purchase weekly shonen jump alpha
Like honestly no one wants to support the industry here?
How…judgemental of you. You have no idea if we read the amaetuer translations here...then go and buy the book for official translations and to have the psychical copy of the book. Some of us are usch big fans that we obsess at little details that were shown years ago, and when pops back up, we go checking our collection for the facts. Many of did that when the SHs reached Fishman Island and someone mentioned some stuff about Arlong Park.
Its two weeks but come on, Its cheap, helping people, and you get your content. Have a little patience and some respect for the man who writes this manga and purchase it
Viz has said if people buy this they will work hard to make it sooner to the release date. I mean they have to buy the rights to even get it at two weeks
Come on guys! Please its cheap, and it helps the author we all love!:

It also helps all the other authors we don't like in that service. I gave up on Naruto for a purpose, I will not help support that whacked out storyline anymore, that artist screwed it up after his timeskip, its totally different feel to it now adays. No. I will support other authors I do not even read …not even free scans.
One Piece is the only mag in the lineup that I read. You make it sound as if Oda is the only one that subsription would help. The money goes to tooo many sections. There are the people working at the site/company, them paying for thier website, then when we do get to the royalties going tot he authors= Oda is not the only author there. There are , what, 5 or 6 titles?
@Juvar:
You're making it sound like the majority of people live there. I'm pretty sure there's much more people UNable to pay for Alpha even if they were willing to than Americans doing so. We're not the exception, you are.
Edit: Plus, you don't even BUY it, you just "rent" it. If you pay for WSJAlpha you can only view the material for a limited amount of time; and I wouldn't pay for that even if I was able to. I prefer paying for something tangible, which is why I am buying VIZ volumes. Alpha is out of the question for me.
In addition, if you really want to thank Oda for his hard work, buy the Japanese volumes, and even then he doesn't receive the bigger share of money. Just saying.
@Nolus:
What? Really? I've never heard of anything like this. Wouldn't it be easier and more convenient to just sell it like good old days? You pay, they give you a copy period. Or is it like a library?
I'm sorry if it sounds rather… silly to only me.
I agree, I will not be paying to read it, then not be able to go and read it the next year … or even 5 years later when a new story has info that ties into a previous story. As I said above, I rather read the newst story online then when VIZ releases the book in USA, I'll go buy it. That way I am getting newest info, but still getting a copy for my library and supporting only the artist that I read.
