Nice to see that Rukia not being able to fight a single normal Hollow in the first chapter has held up as her pathetic power level.
Naruto and Bleach: Let's put this thread to bed I

Wtf. Byakuya suddenly gives a shit about Ichigo? When did this happen?
Also, how exactly did punk kid slip out of Ikakku's sight.
I like how Renji is trying to seem all cool. "Yeah, I evaded that explosion like a boss." Like he fucking did anything.
-
Ichigo and Renji don't agree on that.
I said supposed. I gathered it was obvious that the bleachverse doesn't give a shit about its own rules. :ninja:
-
Here's my tutorial for how to waste a perfectly good piece of paper. Ready for this?
Do this: http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/35044737/5
Congratulations! You have successfully wasted a page.
Let's not forget this atrocious waste of space
-
Don't worry friends! Shuu-chan won't die! He still has 10 minutes! Orihime will come and heal her friend. After all, she trained 17 long months so she won't be a burden to her friends!
-
Wtf. Byakuya suddenly gives a shit about Ichigo? When did this happen?
It's even more bizarre than the implied Mayuri has faith in Ichigo moment during Hueco Mundo.
!
-
This chapter was terrible on every level. I don't do this normally, but I feel like dissecting the damn thing.
-Byakuya's reason for killing NotAizen? "You're an enemy of Ichigo." Why is it that Byakuya's a more loyal friend to Ichigo than Chad and Orihime were, even though he's only interacted briefly with Ichigo?
-"She's dead. …Probably." When you explode, and you can't regenerate or do something similar, then you're dead. There's no "probably" about it.
-that attempt at humour by Hitsugaya failed, even by Bleach's incredibly low standards of humour.
-good to see that Rukia's continuing to fail miserably against weak opponents. /sarcasm
-"I don't know anything about my teammate's abilities." ...um, what? That's... kind of stupid.
-"oh, and I can't interfere with Ginjou's fight, unless he tells me to." ...that's conveniently specific.
-"What are you fighting for, Ichigo?" ...Didn't Aizen make the same basic speech when Ichigo showed up to fight him?
-didn't Ginjou say that being stabbed a second time by NotAizen was the only way to remove that brainwashing/memory altering/time travel/whatever NotAizen's power was? Like, immediately after he himself was stabbed a second time?
-"I give him ten minutes at best." Ten minutes, to die from being impaled through the chest, which likely took out a good chunk of his lungs as well? That's a pretty generous estimate.
-in fact, couldn't they just kill the gaming kid and have his power dispel? It's not like they've shown any lenience to any of the other Fullbringers, and Byakuya should be able to figure out that killing a Fullbringer removes all traces of their power (seeing as he wouldn't have NotAizen's presence in his memories any more).
-"It's a little story about the enemy you really should be fighting..." So we're getting another awkwardly placed Fullbringer flashback next week. Fantastic.
-
Byakuya's acting like a decent human being.
That's so OOC it hurts.
-
What debt was Tsukishima talking about? :wassat:
-
Haha called it. No way Byakuya wouldn't hold back and not strike down a "friend". Shuu-chan needs to die though. He broke Orihime and Chad's brain, hopefully that'll fix it. Aside from Rukia failing like usual, the chapter wasn't too bad. Ginjo at least pointed out something that bugs me about Ichigo. What are you fighting for? Ichigo better not respond later with, I fight for my friends or any of that crap.
-
-
-
Ginjou: What are you fighting for?
Ichigo: For the fact that you nearly killed my friends, and all of you just tried to kill all of us…? -
! Uh-oh. Did he cut you at some point into liking him? =P
Lulz-wise, he's the "best" thing that has happened to Bleach since Aizen.
-
Ginjou: What are you fighting for?
Ichigo: For the fact that you nearly killed my friends, and all of you just tried to kill all of us…?Why didn't Ichigo go after Tsukishima, since he was the one who actually attacked his friends and sisters? The most Ginjou did was steal his powers and betray his trust.
-
Naruto was pretty awesome this week (if you catch my drift)
Man Kubo should get a writer, he really should although it would be nigh impossible to salvage this mess. -
I loved how Ishida said he was gonna fight alongside Ichigo against Ginjo, and yet he isn't shown in this chapter at all.
-
Tsukishima died as he lived
without a point
I'm sigging this!
Btw. I've jostled with the idea of whether or not to give up on Bleach. I've decided I'll drop Bleach when Naruto finally ends, for I will only combat both of the two hydra heads or neither.
So… can't wait for Naruto to end! -
So apparently Fullbringers and Sub Shinigami can share and trade powers…....what? I'm not actually gonna try and ponder that one. Let's just go with the flow guys, just go with the floooww.
-

I personally am going to see it through to the end, but I'm stubborn like that. The only series I actually dropped was Reborn, but I'm recently trying to catch up to it so…maybe I'm just a masochist? :P

I'm pretty much the same. Sticking with Naruto and Bleach 'til the end, although fuck knows how long Bleach is going to last at this rate. Reborn is also the only series I've dropped, it just got too bad for my tastes and I never had a real emotional investment in it anyway, so I didn't really care about it at all.
-

The good thing about bad series are that they are quick to read. I often have 1 to 2 minutes to spare where I kind of just wait for things, so I figure whatever.
Reading a Bleach chapter just takes around 30 seconds and a lot of these are not spend reading but rather loading pages.
I'd rather do something stupid than do nothing ^^ -
Now that think about it ,its bit funny ginjou knows the time Shuu-chan(almost precise) will last without being there to examine the wound.
I will follow both series till the end,but i got to say Bleach entertains me more then naruto to be honest even if it is for the wrong reasons. -
Here's a question
Why is GINJOU fighting? Just gtfo of there and you're good as gold, you fucking idiot
-
I loved how Ishida said he was gonna fight alongside Ichigo against Ginjo, and yet he isn't shown in this chapter at all.
I noticed that too. Did he just say "fuck this arc" and leave off screen?
Anyway, the Bleach chapter. So Tsukishima is dead. Well, despite the battle that made me scratch my head in frustration, I can't help but feel….somewhat glad Aizen 2.0 is gone.
The Shinigami all meet up (looks like Jackie is actually dead). I liked when Kenpachi told Ikkaku off for lecturing his opponent and letting him get away, but wait...hold on. Rukia lost her battle. She lost to Riruka. Same character who one-shotted Di Roy and beat Aaroniero. The one who's now a high ranked Shinigami. And she...lost to Riruka? How? Did the hole in her chest start to bleed out or something? I'm seriously confused here. I thought she had her fight in the bag......
Now to Ginjou vs. Ichigo, which is starting to look like Getsuga Tenshous all over the place. (And Uryuu vanishes). Why does Ichigo look so surprised when Ginjou tells him Tsukishima is dead? Didn't this whole conflict start with Ichigo enraged, determined to end Tsukishima to turn his loved ones back to normal? Interestingly enough, like Aizen in Fake Karakura, Ginjou basicially tells him that his goal is done (saving Orihime in that arc and beating Tsukishima in this one) and taunts him that fighting has no point now.
But Ginjou wants to tell him who the "real enemies" are? Okay, why didn't he do that during the training? Before they started to cross swords? He thinks Ichigo will believe him so easily now?
Still pissed Rukia actually lost to Riruka.
-
Tsukishima's 10 minutes left until ability stops working reminds me of what Hody did to Decken. Just sounded similar.
-
So….I guess Riruka took over Rukia's body then?
-
nothing about this chapter made any goddamn sense. PSPkid casually mentions that Shinigami and Fullbringers can give eachother their powers, and for some reason, this means he had to agree to not something something words words I stopped caring.
then Rukia somehow lost, which is balls.
then Tsukishima is apparently dying, and Ginjou knows how long he'll live, and this surprises Ichigo, who makes his trademark "guys…" face. and Ishida is missing. and getsugas everywhere.
and then, Ginjou wants to tell him who his true enemy is. FOR FUCK'S SAKE, IF THE FINAL BOSS OF THIS ARC CHANGES AGAIN-
fuck everything about bleach, seriously.
-
"We Fullbringers can share abilities all the time!"
Yeah Kubo, way to come up with a fucking terrible ham-fisted plot device to keep Ichigo and NotAizen1 in the virtual room.
"Let me tell you about the real enemy you should be fighting."
Who? The Soul Society? Dude, we've been telling Ichigo that for years.
@The:
The last page.
I laughed out loud.
SO HARD.Hilariously stupid chapter, good show Kubo
You know, from now on I think I'm going to imagine NotAizen1 having Littlekuriboh's Jack voice.
-
"We Fullbringers can share abilities all the time!"
Just thinking about this quote confuses me. Didn't Yukio say "we know little about each other's powers because we don't want to reveal our strengths"? Doesn't the above line kinda contradict this if….they share them?
-

Maybe it's not really trading their abilities but energy? Kinda like when they siphoned off Ichigo's fullbringer stuff, they got stronger….I guess.
-
So….I guess Riruka took over Rukia's body then?
pretty much what I was thinking. it'll be a stupid deus ex machina, but this IS kubo we're talking about

Hm, it's a thought.

Every single one of the Fullbringers' powers has been a deus ex machina thus far.
-
Every single one of the Fullbringers' powers has been a deus ex machina thus far.
Pretty much this.
I could make an entire blogpost detailing just on how many levels the concept of Fullbring has been terrible.
-

I was under the impression that a deus ex machina was something that was an improvment that came outta nowhere.

What? NotBradley nixing his time-game powers just to go Hulk wasn't an improvement?
-

Like the Fullbring powers. Which completely go against the magic superpower system that had been established in Bleach previously. So yeah.
Also lol at Ishida not even being shown. I really do miss the days when Ichigo's nakama mattered. They were entertaining for crying out loud! Really a shame that they became totally inconsequential so that they could be replaced by the Gotei 13. Who are also inconsequential. But I should probably save that for a fairly lengthy rant I'm planning to make on Friday, on the subject of why Bleach sucks. Should be fun. I'll bring popcorn!
-
Let's review, shall we?
Tsukishima - DEAD
Jackie - DEAD
King Bradley - DEAD
Yukio - Alive
Riruka - Alive?
Punk Kid - Alive (wtf he got away)
Ginjou - AliveAny bets to see who's next on the chopping block?
-
Well Shuu-kun isn't dead yet. He's just mostly dead.
-
Well Shuu-kun isn't dead yet. He's just mostly dead.
As long as he's not up and trollin' any more.
-

I have a new nickname for him.
Shuu-rodinger.
-
What? NotBradley nixing his time-game powers just to go Hulk wasn't an improvement?
I thought that it had to make a difference. He still got slaughtered like a pig lol. Actually that's not right. I think pigs even upt up a bit of a fight.

I know it's so annoying. I like Ishida. He seemed to have a more fleshed out character than most and they sorta just reduced him to that know-it-all, that hangs around.
-
Decided to read the latest chapter of Bleach out of curiosity.
Why didn't Byakuya cut Tsukishima's head off? I'm serious, he saw that he was alive, better to be safe than sorry. It would take 4 seconds. Unless I missed something and you can't do that.
-
Well Shuu-kun isn't dead yet. He's just mostly dead.
A slightly alive Tsukishima will continue on to hopefully fulfill his purpose of erasing this arc from all of our memories.
-
Haters gonna hate, Shuu-chan forever!!!11!!
-
Haters gonna hate, Shuu-chan forever!!!11!!
Yeah i wanna see more notAizen moments, ginjou is weak sauce.
-
In this timeline, Shuu is dead. But in a split timeline, he's alive.
Ichigo now has to make a choice between the splits. One where he gets the chance to kill Shuu himself. Or the current one where he missed his chance to kill him.
Ichigo wants to kill Shuu himself. The plot goes back to square one.
Make it happen Kubo.
-
Well this was a.."something"…chapter. Really all that happens is ruler memory guy dies, all the shinigami get out and Ichigo fight with Ginjo continues. Oh and joy another flashback to why Ginjo is a douche. An exciting chapter for an exciting manga.
-
Cool new thread title.
