Can someone please explain what is wrong with luffy why is he in pain and shirahoshi saying his wound is opening …. what wound ?
Hody bit him hard on the shoulder a few chapters back, Luffy knocked him away with a Jet Pistol but his teeth stuck in his shoulder.
Also Brook is such a badass, I've been waiting since him joining for him to have some awesome moments like he has the last few chapters. I'm a happy camper <3

Since Shirahoshi commented that his wound was opening again and it looked there where untranslated textbubbles that something along the likes of drip drip and it looked he was losing alot of blood.

Colored Hody looks just as jokey as he did in the manga when he was introduced. It's so hard to imagine the transformation that will become of him.

As anyone else experience a flashback of Thriller Bark, remembering the final moments of Luffy vs Moriah? That is what I remember when I see these Mer/fishflok not runnign and saying they are putting their trust in Luffy. Its the same as when in the final moments of the fight on Thriller Bark and the sun was rising, random pirates were running to the shadows but Lola refused to do so, saying she's putting her trust into Luffy. Wordins may be different but teh sentiments are the same.
Also with Hodi "puking up the pills" I didn't get that impression. For pills to affect a person we assume they would dissolve to get the drugs into the body. I was thinking that Hodi was puking up blood and that underwater it looked like balled up, after all its hard to show how blood actually flows underwater in a black adn white pic.
Chopper had said that he needed the rumble ball for only one form now that he's able to transform into the other varitons without it. Funny thing is that we have seen him using a rumble ball on the desent to FI when they were about to hit the wall, he popped a pill and changed to that giant form of guard point. I have trouble believing that he can access Monster point without a rumble ball but can't access guard point. So I wonder if he can use rumble ball to increase the effect of normal points.
Let me clarify= Chopper says there is only one form he cannot access without a rumble ball. But what if the rumble ball can amplify the forms he can use without it? Say he can use guard point as normal and looks jsut slightly larger than he did before timeskip but with the rumble ball it increases the size to be big enough to cushin the ship from the sea wall.
Awesome chapter. I loved everything - dynamic action, Whitebeard, Teach's weapon that scarred Shanks, philosophy… everything. Perfect chapter.
And we finally saw the thing we dreamed about for half a decade - Giant Gatling. Damn straight.
What a damn nice chapter. A strong contender for my most favorite one for this arc. What happened at that one line that changed so much? About Hodies or Luffys toughness. For a change the mangastream one sounds much more like something Luffy would say. He's not the typ of guy who talks respectful of his enemy. The only time I can remember him doing that is on SA against Px1 which he mistook for Kuma.
What a great chapter. It was nice seeing Whitebeard again and I loved Brook's little stand.

And otherwise, this was one of the best chapters in this arc so far. Gatling Gun with Gear 3rd. Controlling of Monster Point, Brook being cool, A lot of finishing-move build ups!

Also regarding "Red Hawk", the name is a tribute to Ace, but the actual effect of the attack really seems like it's been inspired by Akainu. Luffy really does learn from his enemies lol. Just wondering if in the New World there will be more chest rupturing…
Amazing chapter. This is 2 chapters in a row that Oda has dished out. This arc is finally picking up abit from it's slow start.
Prediction time!
I've always theorized that Zoro would end up having CoO, so I think he will predict Hyouzou's threachery and avoid the tentacles with some ubber version of his Tourou Nagashi move.
I also guess Hody will take even more pills and rise up, but in the end his body will be wrecked by so many drugs and he will be defeated by his own hate.
Finally, Shirahoshi will get desperate and summon Sea Kings to stop Noah from crashing (I don't think Luffy will destroy the ship, since it's foreshadowed by Neptune that the ship must survive). However, it will be clear that Luffy could've destroyed the ship if there was no other option.
And finally, this arc is almost over, but Caribou's still around and capturing mermaids to sell. The reverie is coming. Jinbe's crew (with Aladdin) is sure to appear at some point. And the Celestial Dragons still want revenge on Luffy, so I guess we will have a slavery arc after this one (and the fanboy in me wants to see Hancock involved because she has ties to this theme).
(I don't think Jinbe's gonna join the crew in this arc, but I don't discard him joining during next arc, if it's indeed a "slavery arc" featuring his crew).
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

I thought being able to control monster point indefinitely would bee too good of a power up for chopper, but now I realize it probably has a time limit since it's rumble ball induced and that is good enough for me.
Can't wait to see the result of Jinbe and Sanji's plan. Chopper looks like he went monster to deal with Noah as well.

oh i wanted to post this for some time now but didn't zorro avoid getting hit by some rocks during his fight with mr. 1 i remember something like zorro mentioning he felt like he knew where the rocks didn't hit him and like the rocks where telling him…. doesn't that convirm CoO + zorro should never use CoA... he gets terribly injured and doesn't protect himself that makes more sense for sanji who's protecting his hands since the begin (and his flaming leg...)

So, a question that I'm pretty certain hasn't been considered before since I tend to read through all of the stuff here - for G3 Gatling, does Luffy inflate both his arms (my guess: yes, of course, wouldn't make sense otherwise…), and if so, are they half as big as if it was just one arm or what. Plus, hitting with two giant fists... Surely they would collide in mid-air? :ninja:

People say something funny that disturbs someone in a hilarious way, and to keep the joke going, someone will draw it. That's what I meant. Heck now way I want to do soemthing that gets me banned for a stupid thing. This forum is one the better ones there, I've almost given up on mangafox forum for OP. The Cerebus Theory is strong at Mangafox too :getlost: Frankly I've never seen why people thinkk of cerebus just because BB's flag had three skulls. I swear somehere in reading about Pirates that I've done through my life (I will not say how many deacades) that I've seen the three skulls as an image for a flag. I remember reading that three skulls image was warning their enemies that they are "Judge, Jury, and Executioner". So thats what I've always thought was behind BB's flag espcially with how ruthless he is.

I loved this chapter, Luffy was so freakin awesome I just loved his new attacks. Loved Brooks speech and Chopper was pretty cool too. I hate the fact that we have a break, how many has that been again? Oh well, least I have the anime for the time being. I can't wait for the next chapter, Luffy is going to destroy that ship and than I'm curious whats going down with Zoro, of course Sanji/Jinbe

Its when translations are this bad I regret being too lazy to learn japanese. There is just too many things lost in translation, like weird speech patterns and puns.
About the chapter. Well, if the spoilers were already awesome, the chapter took it to the next level. Amazing. 'nuff said.
This was a good chapter. I jokingly asked my friend at school today, who had read this chapter before me "Was the latest chapter filled with joy and delight and excitement." To which he responded yes. After reading it, I must say I agree. Hody and Luffy both had some awesome attacks and Whitebeard is epic even in flashback form.
Blackbeard has a claw weapon? I actually remember about 3-4 years ago, I was browsing forums besides this one (Not NF!) and the Wolverine theory came up a few times, so I'm not too surprised. It makes more sense than anything else given the shape of Shanks' scars. Nice that Oda was subtle with it, he does a good job of that.
I have mixed feelings about Chopper being able to control Monster Point. I don't know, I always suspected it was a possibility but I never felt entirely comfortable with it. I'll wait until next chapter till I decide how I feel about it.

No worries, I meant that as a jokey post. (Though lately it seems I come across as trollish instead… curses.) The one getting banned would have been me because I had such a terrible idea for the picture :D I do agree this is a good place to be if you want to have a constructive discussion about One Piece and I wouldn't want to be banned. I'm in no hurry to return to other OP boards where people only get satisfaction out of the series when Luffy breaks his fist into someone's face!

Nice cover and chapter Shirley and Brook's lines I liked the most as well as Luffy's full speed weakhoshi lol. Also nice to see that the rest of the NFPs lieutenants are as stubborn as Hody in their beliefs. The first phase of this arc really looks like it's coming to an end and agrees with deicidethe second phase is what Im looking foward to, some more dealing with the racism slavery themes,as well as the history of fishman island with a Void century Poneglyph Noah break. That far into the arc I still feel too detached from the island.
Then Caribou pops up and brings things to the next level (heads off to the holy land for business. Shs follow,wreak a bit of havoc on Mariejois,undirectly distrub the Reverie,free the mermaids thus making some statement about FM and human relations, quickly leave(no big confrontation) to enter the NW)

Ah damn it, so they are sticking with that color scheme. Well at least he loses the hat early on anyway, but the purple pants hes supposed to have still dont sit well, and why does his shirt have no pattern detail? looks like luffy's old vest.
I don't know why people hated the Cerebus theory so much. It neatly explains why he can have more than one Devil Fruit, scarred Shanks, and just a trivial thing but why his flag has three skulls.
I'm not gonna bitch about it since it was proven wrong, and I really don't have faith in it after this chapter, but why do so many people hate it?
Don't know if anyone ever mentioned this. I am thinking about Caribou, what role he will play later on, why he is in FI after getting a free ride on Sunny, and the fact he is still "missing"…I think later on he will involve in awkward situation when people notice his presence and start suspecting him, and afraid of being owned by large number of people, he could say " I merely wanted to protect the lovely mermaids (from imminent danger of falling Noah) by absorbing them into my body"....Then somehow there would be no other way for him except to go to the surface together with SHs, so he make a "heart-touching" appeal to SHs to bring him with them. Possibly still planning to backstab careless SHs in his mind, but always end up in failure in a funny way, somehow by the end of time he would always be with SHs...always..and becoming a nakama somewhat like Buggy in Roger's crew.
I've been Wanting Caribou to be a straw hat member ever since he was introduced so i fully support this theory.
