But on the widescreen issue, be wary: Senior Brand Manager Curtis Shaw said he saw AN episode in widescreen, not which one. It could simply have been one of the eps that's always been seen widescreen. So just keep that in mind, and return to your scheduled squeals of joy. :)

Hell yeah! This is great news! So many awesome details, love the episode numbers we're getting and the HD and 16:9 masters…and if this set and beyond is bluray, I might just pick those up (though I kinda wish they'd do BD/DVD sets). First, I need to finish off Season 3. ^^

We'll be getting four new ending themes dubbed, as well as the best theme song (my opinion, sorry to those who disagree)
Funi will have to put fifteen episodes on two voyages, and fourteen on all the rest! Unless, of course, they put LESS episodes on each set to make room for an extra set.

Well, it's been a tense year, but we've made it. I guess I was being too optimistic when I thought they would license all the way to the end of Enies Lobby, that's actually a lot of episodes! 50 episodes is reasonable enough. It's gonna mean so much to me to finally hear (not read) Robin's past in English. I might start back up collecting the DVD's, since I really owe Funimation for this, and I really, really want One Piece to continue being a success in America, like it should be.

Great news I'm pumped, I can't wait to see and hear who does Foxy. Hopefully they keep dubbing the opening songs too. No reason to stop now I suppose. I was hoping they would of gotten Strong World too be S4 is most important! Hope to hear more interview with the other VA's going forward especially the elusive Sonny Strait ;)

I bought all the voyages and collections so far so I've done and will continue to do my part supporting it.

I wouldn't worry about it, it would be really inconsistent and awkward if they suddenly just stopped dubbing the songs. Especially since OP 4 and ED 13 are gonna be on the next set dubbed anyway, so switching to Japanese for the other songs wouldn't be right.

(You know, going to the ANN site, I really wanted to make a crack on Vocaloid/Hatsune Miku regarding this but I didn't think there was actually going to be anything related to it to say this, but there was. In the last 45 minutes. That's more important than One Piece Season 4 being licensed. A Hatsune Miku video being streamed. facepalm)

In all seriousness though, if this were something FUNimation was not involved with, they would have mentioned the countdown yesterday and that would have been it. However, they mentioned it again today, and they'll probably mention it again tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. The leads me to believe the news has something to do with the both of them, and I think it means something has been licensed for either DVD or broadcast (or both.)

Also, it might be nothing but I haven't seen Zach or Firecrouch on this thread at all since the countdown went up.

When am I ever on except to post Futurama videos. Oh, right:

Even though they are the "unofficial" podcast, they have been mentioned numerous times through various funimation outlets and surveys as one of the biggest sources of One Piece news in North America.

The fact that this countdown is being tweeted out by Funimation itself and shown on their other medial outlets is proof of the official relationship between Funimation and the podcast.

What does this mean? I think it means to get your checking accounts in order because it will be time to spend some money.
