The swordsman in question would still have to know where they're going, though. And if they're truly invisible, that'd be a bit hard to do without CoO.
Things That You Would Like to See in the Manga

-
Also, any string can be snapped with enough tension.
Step one: apply CoA haki to skin to protect against cuts (ala Oars Jr.)
Step two: resist Dofla's pull
Step three: snap string -
There's also the fact that Doflamingo needs to use an entire hand to be able to control someone, so if he were to control two people at the same time, he wouldn't be able to use his own powers at his opponent, relying on the strenght of whoever he's controlling.
-
I can't wait for a DoFlamingo arc/battle.
I just thought of something I want to see (it's kind of specific):
I would love, if there was a massive battle at the end with all of the SHC allies vs WG [maybe even to save Luffy or something], that at the beginning of the war it's just the SHC with Usopp at the head, and he yells 'I am the great Captain Usopp, a brave warrior of the sea with 8000 followers' - a pause - and then a million boats appear in the horizon of all their allies.
Would be epic/funny.
-
I want Usopp to use that line on Bege, only for:
Bege: Really? So do I! releases 8000 warriors that proceed to chase Usopp
-

Step one: apply CoA haki to skin to protect against cuts (ala Oars Jr.)
Step two: resist Dofla's pull
Step three: snap stringSo you are saying that Jozu, who was able to throw an iceberg, did not have enough strength to break this string?
Edit: Nevermind, I seem to recall that Jozu broke free soon after. Someone correct me on this.
-

IIRC, it's not clear whether Jozu broke free by himself, or the strings were just untangled by Crocodile's whirlwind (or Doflamingo being forced to released Jozu due to the whirlwind).
-
Crocs attack freed him.. why else would he even let himself be controlled for a second when he is able to get free by himself.
We saw that he had sweat on his face which indicated that he desperatly tried to brake free, but wasnt able to, because he couldn
t even move an inch what could have been enough to use his strenght to brake the "strings". -
He managed to take control of Jozu and Kaizeruhige (Vice-Admiral Awesome Mustache), who are both confirmed to be Haki users.
I think the only way to counter Doflamingo's DF is to dodge his supposedly "strings". Might sound hard on practice, but I'm sure whoever gets to fight him will manage to get around it.
I think it's a matter of his will vs the other guy's will. He can control people who are weaker than him. I think the string theory sounds pretty good. Maybe his attacks can be dodged…
-

If that was the case, his ability would be pretty useless against Luffy, who has a ridiculous will.
-
I'd like to see Coby master his Haki, become a Vice Admiral or higher and take on Luffy is a serious fight.
-
I don
t expect more than a short exchance of blows, where both will in the end respect how powerful their opponent has become. But with Coby having a high position in the marine hierarchy(near the end of the story) there is the chance to get the marine on Luffy
s side in the end(so that the marine won`t fight anymore for the WG), which will finally change the world. -

So if Luffy does take on the WG, he doesn't need the marines on his side. If he eventually beats the WG, I'm sure he wouldn't want the marines to disband.
-
Where did i say that the marine wouldn
t exist anymore ? The marine is afterall a "good" organisation, where some are way to influenced by the WG and their opinion about "justice". The marine wouldn
t vanish with the WG, because they still would be necessary(because after the WG is history not every person will be suddenly good),but why shouldnt the marine fight for the right thing when they realize that the WG has to be destroyed.(many persons in the marine aren
t fighting for the WG, theyre just in the marine, because by that they
re able to help people, what is their first priority) -
Sorry I was adding to your point, not disagreeing with it.
-
I would love- to see a filler arc in anime/or a filler arc in manga like Foxy's arc.
One that's similar to Navaron… I dunno. []
Any filler arc dedicated to just kiss the crew's ass for their powerful military mights and colourful characters would just fly my heart soaring through the air!Just imagine.................... Chopper, mistakenly known as a peculiar marine doctor! Questioned skills at first, but people now respect him for his godly skillz!!
It would really~ be fun to watch! yay ^

I would like to see Oda postpone the visit to the New World, the same way he did with Fishman Island twice, before Thriller Bark and Impel Down/Marineford. It would be great seeing those "PLZ ODA LETS JUST GO TO TEH NEW WORLD" guys complain again.
-
Why are you so mean? We just want to see how awesome the New World is/wrap up some on going mysteries/see how everyone else is doing…
I would like to see something like a Pirate's Summit (I know it was a mistranslation). Like a reverie for at least some of the big name pirates, or at least a lot of pirates (like Movie 4).
-

What exactly would he postpone it with?

I would like to see the rest of Luffy's crew meet the Whitebeard pirates, if they still call themselves that. I think it would be interesting to see certain characters meet. Like Zoro and Vista. Also, I think a Nami and Jozu meeting would also be very interesting.
I'd also like for the Straw Hats to see Vivi again. I don't necessarily want her to join the crew because that would not be good for her country, especially due to recent events, but a small reunion would be nice. I'd like to see the interaction between her and Robin.
-
Marijois, what else?
It seems like Oda himself is pumped for the New World and trying to rush through FI to get to it, and they make a sudden trip for Mariejois? I never understood why people believe the crew would head up for Mariejois. Vivi will definitely attend the Reverie, but I don't expect her to meet with the crew at that time. And whatever Caribou does, he won't get the Mermaid Princess up there. What other theories were around?

How long have you been reading One Piece? If Oda were rushing through FI many of the mysteries would have been revealed long ago and the fights would be completely over by now. He is always talking about how he can write a better story in his interviews and though you may not agree with how he has chosen to set things up recently, he is still giving us bits and pieces of information like he always has that lead to major reveals later on. There are still so many lose ends that need addressing I expect at least 20 more chapters before completion or maybe even 30+. It should be painfully obvious that he takes his time with his story no matter how excited he is for a new island.
How long were we set up for FI itself? There wre 3 false starts I believe, and now he is rushing through it? Yeah right.
I'm not saying it is an absolute fact they are going Marijois. But with all the mention and set up recently I can see it as a very real possibility. Cobra getting sick is also a big hint that it is happening soon. Unless he is supposed to stay sick until the very end of the series when the SH's are expected to return again, Vivi is going to be representing Alabasta very soon. Caribou has a goal to capture the princess and take her to the surface himself possibly selling her off to the highest bidder, the Nobles obviously. Who is to say he won't be sneaky enough to do it? It's already been so long since we as readers have even seen him. It's major set up for the "all is well in the world" moment once the direct threat of Hodi is over with. Still I don't know if he'll succeed or not but at this point how could you completely discount the possibility, especially when his crew is undoubtedly coming back for him.
I remember when the war was first mentioned and Luffy still didn't want to pursue Ace. Many argued we wouldn't see the war at all and the Straw Hat's were no match for those kinds of fighters anyway. They were partially right, but in the end Luffy of course had a huge part in it.
I'm just saying the straw hats on Marijois is a very real possibility.

Scratchman Apoo vs Brook

I couldn
t agree more with RomanceDawn. Oda always showed us the locations\actions he hinted in the story..don
t see a reason why he shouldn`t do so with the reverie, which is without a doubt an important event. -
Yeah Rubia, I have to agree with Romance and Don–Reverie is being foreshadowed so much that missing it would be... really strange, and completely not Oda-like, IMHO. We've heard about it even in the cover stories now. No way we aren't going to be there somehow, and since the SHs are just recently reunited it just seems wrong to think they'll be separated for such an important adventure so soon after getting back together--no matter how insane it sounds right at this moment.
-
Personally I think the Reverie arc will happen after Luffy finds the One Piece, it would give everybody something to chew on.

When Luffy gets One Piece, there will be a 2nd emergency Reverie meeting after the world goes nuts with the truth behind the WG.
-
Well its a possibility, Warship, of course, but it seems a stretch to think, after all the foreshadowing in this particular arc especially, and the news of how imminent it really is right now, that it would be withheld as a plot point for years (though of course no one knows how long in story time.)
-
If Fishman Island gets destroyed It will definently happen sooner, I'll give you that.
-
I'm just saying the straw hats on Marijois is a very real possibility.
'Kay.
By the way, I'm not saying that he's actually rushing through the arc, but that the story is ready for the New World. Of course this arc isn't going to be over; not by a long shot. (I don't remember how many times I had to mention that.) Don't mix up my words.
Obviously there's going to be a moment at the Reverie, but whether it would become an entire arc is questionable still. And Caribou will eat kicks from hell, almost guaranteed. Who's to say he'll be able to slip away with a giant mermaid princess?
-
This Manga needs more Kazuo Kiriyama.
-
@Lazy:
Scratchman Apoo vs Brook
This will somehow happen, and it will be glorious.
Also i agree with the previous posters about Marijois - and I'd go as far as to say that we will have another flashback there: The liberation of the slaves by Fisher Tiger. -
The Strawhats don't need to be there for the Reverie to happen. It will be an important part, probably, but it will just an in-between arc of several chapters, together with the appearances of other characters (such as the Supernovae, I suppose), Oda revealing who the new Fleet Admiral and Shichibukai, etc. It's not going to be a whole new arc, but a small arc between FI and the next arc.
-
I could see maybe 2 -3 chapters at most of Reverie/World Update arc. I bet there will be major movements by the Revolutionary Army that will give clues to what Robin has been doing, as her timeskip is the most mysterious.
-
I want to see Sanji against Doflamingo, It´s time for Sanji for beat a Shishibukai.
-
I think that's a bit demeaning to DoFlamingo. How is he Sanji level? He's clearly Luffy level. Sanji can defeat Kuma, who I think has become weaker because of the transformation, it would be a nicer moment when he wins (considering Zoro's sacrifice moment and Saboady).
-
Sanji vs Doflamingo is a possibility, though. However, it will only happen if Sanji loses in the end or if Luffy somehow ends up fighting somebody stronger, becoming too busy to deal with Doflamingo, who is left to fight Sanji.
And, honestly, if Doflamingo does get his own arc (which is a great possibility), the latter option is very improbable.
-
I can
t see how some could think that Sanji will fight this villain who is featured since volumne 25 and showed with his strenght and his talking that he will be a major player in the NW, who won
t be defeated by the third strongest in the crew.
Whatever makes you guys believe that, sometimes iam wondering if we`re reading the same manga. -
I'd really like to see all of the Yonkou's appeareances and abilities really soon, though it feels like Oda doesn't rush these things…
Then again, Mihawk ( a Warlord ) appeared in the Baratie arc...

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! someone else is on my side on this one!!!
other things that need to happen
a fight on the calm belt jumping from one sea king to another while having epic battles
sanji vs zoro, which would actually go great with what I just said, sanji flying through the air zoro cutting sea kings for footing sanji getting eaten by a jumping sea king while flying through the air then bursting out, just killing one massive monster after the next until they no longer need to worry about footing with all the dead monsters, it'd be epic
and Usopp getting a Beetle fruit for his sling shot
-
This post is deleted!

DoFlamingo's connections with the World Government put him above the Crocodile of the New World. I think that will be reserved for someone like Kaidou (if he turns out to be evil). Let's not forget Crocodile was stronger than Luffy in Alabasta, but his character depth didn't really happen until Marineford, which by that time Oda realized he was a fan favorite. DoFlamingo has been building up for a long long time, think of two of the most 'epic' scenes in OP (Bellamy and Tenryuubito) were both secretly connected to DoFlamingo.

I don't know if Franky still uses Cola post-TS but if he does I would want to see him fight a cola logia. . .

I don't think cola is a 'force of nature'.
