Well it's true XD

Bikini Hancock released back in April and you can still buy her off Mandarake/YAJ for the initial price or even lower.

All the newer "normal" POPs like BB, Marco, Law, Perona & etc-etc sell out in a few minutes (or even seconds) when put up for pre-order and after release insantly go up in price like 2x.

I'm a fan of the manliest characters but it doesn't help that their POPs either suck or don't exist :P

Well, Akainu & Kizaru may be rocking, but need to see them completed first! Aokiji POP is not impressive. Not bad, but meh. Suck-my-dick pose always kills it off for me on older POPs.

well, we'll see about the rarity of the limiteds when they've been out of production for a few years. I really like the idea of them, though. Order as much as you want and they'll make that many, and won't release them again. Why doesn't Megahouse do that for all their POPs?

Imagine you're a novice collector who can't get a particular figure he'd love to have when it's released and is left with no other choice but to spend half a poor man's salary just to get it couple of years later? Not cool man, not cool. If it weren't for re-releases I wouldn't be able to get Sogeking on his first re-release and Lerouch from Code Geass on this year's re-release (I'm so glad I was patient).

I actually hate when popular non-limited figures don't get a released again.

But what is everyone collecting figures for? Because you like them or because you like to think only you and a handfull of people own it? :[ Sure, I like to own rare items as well but I give the "as many people as possible should be able to enjoy this" idea a lot more credit.

Funny enough I won a White Bikini Boa Hancock (limited+ exclusive) from a AE & MFC contest held at MFC just a few days ago. (no, I'm not giving her to ya!) It gives me mixed feelings since I'm a bit against how Megahouse has been exploring female characters from One Piece lately... and now I'll own one of those figures. o_ô But it's free so… yay!? :D
Maybe I'll change oppinion and fall into the dark side when I see it in person. >.>

Just saw the counts for WCF volumes 19 and 20 on ibuyxyz (along with pre-orders for the Hong Kong edition). Naturally, each box contains 56 figures. It looks like Banpresto's thankfully stopped their rare figures, at least between June and November (i.e. Sentomaru, Oars Jr, Patty, Chew, etc.)

This is great news, very nice to see you can make 6 sets per box for the upcoming volumes, means the auction pricing should stoop down to 7000-8000's again instead of the retarded pricing on vol. 14 with Oz Jr and Sentomaru. Thanks for the info.

The bottom paint job on Shiki is horrible...

Same with a lot of them really. Megahouse say they're limited and have everyone panic buy. Then they re-release anyways. Marco is geting a re-release soon. And I'd be surprised if Law and Perona don't (Maybe not SW Shanks since that one doesn't seem to have sold a lot.)

The real rare ones will be the ones like BB and Jinbe who don't look to be getting re-releases.

Megahouse is evil by telling fans its going to be limited production bullshit.
Ppl now buying extras, and keeping them mint so they can sell it later.
And when POP dont sell that well like sogeking, they make him new box…....and ppl start buying him again.
SOLD out once they released image for new box. Crazy.

Well you do have to remember that there are always new people collecting figures. That's why I think I'll end up selling Perona in a year or so after her re-release. Means I can discount her enough to make myself not feel ripped off while also helping someone get her when she's (presumably) difficult to get.

I think the reason why a lot of us go for them first is not only the money off at amiami etc but also the feeling of having them not long after release. Maybe wait half a year and I bet people won't be nearly hyped about these ones as they are now XD

I've seen Jinbe for the initial price a lot the last months. It shouldn't be that hard to get him. He only cost a lot because of shipping.
I still believe they will re-release BB like they did with WB. ^^ Hopefully…

I think Jinbe will start and go out of stock soon due to him in the manga. Then once the anime gets to him everyone will want him and he'll be too expensive lol
