25cm?? Since when did Banpresto prize figures get so big?
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
Wow been away for a year or so (at least that's what my account activity states), I'm glad this community's still surviving. Definitely felt like I was away for longer than that, but nevertheless, hello again!
That Tsume Robin's a beauty btw. Any idea where I can get more details? I'm personally more into larger statues now (mainly 1/4) so this does fall into my field of interest, of sorts.
Guess it's also a bit sad that One Piece figures have become more and more sexualized over the years. Just saw the Tashigi swimsuit sculpt, I believe in the BB line or something? Couldn't believe my eyes. Not in a good way, obviously. Is BB supposed to be an innuendo, cos if so they're having a field day with that nonsense.
And also, this is just a shout out to people who are after the older POPs, as I've still got quite a few with me. I left the One Piece collectibles scene ages ago, don't really intend to kickstart anything, and if anyone's looking to find some older POP figures at retail (or Manda prices, whatever benefits this community), do hit me up with a PM

Koala sculpted by Ajiken…
Why him again? That face doesn't do the character justice one bit!

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Well in my case, I just decided that I didn't want to continue collecting One Piece figures anymore. The love for the series is still there, but I figured that didn't mean having to buy figures of characters from the series etc. It's getting more expensive now, they're getting cheaper to get on the second hand market (hence no real need for PO) and I've pretty much moved on to other priorities, so yea.
I do miss the days of the PO wars though, that was good while it lasted. Right now these feel more like they're marketed towards the average collector rather than the die-hard fan who would go the extra mile to purchase these figures, just look at how Manda seems to be the main outlet for POPs nowadays and you'll kinda understand where I'm coming from, hopefully. Not saying that there aren't die-hard One Piece fans out there, but this whole thing with Megahouse seems to have made the collecting business alot less pleasant than it used to be.
I for one wouldn't even mind selling my remaining POPs at retail prices, but hey, even that's difficult to do now. And the only reason I can come up with (besides the falling yen rate) is that Megahouse gives no shits whatsoever about "Limited" and "re-run", to them it just feels like, the more the merrier, and labels can just go bite the dust. It's annoying.

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Hello everyone. So I'm thinking about selling one of my POPs soon. Good condition and everything, only ever displayed. I know of course that I can use the selling thread here. But do you all have any other recommendations? What are some good (and safe) ways to sell? I wanna see and weigh my options. Selling here is probably what I'll do, but I have a feeling it won't go that quickly. Thanks for the advice.
Unfortunately, there aren't many places left to sell these figures. I've been using this selling thread for ages now, and I haven't had any luck whatsoever. You could try mfc, but it won't really make much of a difference. And then if you're located in the US, you could try eBay, but I wouldn't really recommend that tbh.
Either way, good luck.

RE: [The Grandline Shop] - 2014 Official Discussion Thread
but kinda hard to find someone who has put it together and sell it as a set? I can only see 1 seller at ebay who does that
Put what together? The Sailing Again POPs? It would be cheaper getting them individually off Mandarake, probably.
Plus sellers on eBay would normally sell at a higher price due to eBay and Paypal fees, so unless it really is such a great deal, I'd stay off the bay where possible. There are much better sites to browse when it comes to figure hunting. -
RE: [The Grandline Shop] - 2014 Official Discussion Thread
wow
I thought alll figures will go up , but turns out no, eh?!how is madarake shipping to north america?
As someone who used to buy figures to sell off as profit to fund my collection, I can tell you with quite a fair bit of confidence that no, not all figures go up in price after release. The majority actually drop in price, though it really depends on many factors. I've actually got my hands burned on quite a number of occasions while working that trade (that's a fancy way to put it lol) but yea, no more of that for me. Just letting remaining stock go and feeling content I decided to explore this area of interest.

You should always keep the boxes. I did. While I was still collecting POPs anyway. Plus I found them quite fancy.

RE: [The Grandline Shop] - 2014 Official Discussion Thread
You can count me among those foolish enough to order something from this guy. Pre-ordered the Becca p.o.p. but it's been in shipping purgatory ever since I mailed him asking if he had even sent it, which he hadn't.
I had ordered one previous item from him so I had no reason to suspect him to do something like this. Don't really care about the money, more annoyed that I'm not ever seeing that figurine unless they magically decide to reprint it (hah) so I can order it from somewhere else.I wouldn't worry about availability of POPs in the market if I were you. You might even find one cheaper on Manda if you wait it out a bit. Such is the second-hand market for POPs these days, it's not even worth the effort to pre-order anything anymore.
