And lol at Hinata getting overshadowed by a Sasuke fan.
Weird shit out of nowhere chapter. Only one reaction as a whole:
You know, I'm starting to think that Kishimoto doesn't know how to stop this cycle of violence, either. I think he might just be stalling! :O
so just wondering what everyone else thinks. is naruto now worse than bleach, or are they about the same now?
Naruto might be incredibly incredibly stupid but it at least functionally works as a manga. It just happens to be a terrible one.
Bleach on the other hand doesn't even have that.
Bleach has been pretty bland nonsensical all about fights and training the whole time. Naruto achieved greater heights and was downright good at one point, and thus has fallen further to reach the state of terrible its at now.
So Naruto is probably the worse of the two.
BLEACH is way worse. For all its faults at least Naruto still has heart.
BLEACH is way worse. For all its faults at least Naruto still has heart.
I bet Bleach has more "heart".
@Sonic:
It seems I am in need to defend myself. And surely I will do this, in Court!
! [qimg]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/131/3/d/naruto_by_serumx-d3g43n6.png[/qimg]
So you're telling us the flaws, yet don't bother to defend yourself? Sounds like this weeks Naruto.
"YEAH!! DON'T KILL ANYONE!!"
I thought it was weird, too, but the way he said it made me laugh.
I liked when he started raging and screaming. xD
Chapter was crap. Kishimoto needs to take a long break and look over his earlier chapters.
This is just embarrassing.
He obviously has no idea what's going on in One Piece. Calling this chapter lackluster… Seriously dude, stick with your Naruto review.
Anyway, like I said yesterday. This chapter was useless crap. Just some unneeded filler about two guys planning to marry after they beat the shit out of each other. And thumbs down for the poor Kyuubi. From the most powerful Bijuu to Naruto's little bitch.
The Kyuubi is drawn horribly. He doesn't look threatening like he did in the past, he just looks…..lifeless.
Its gone from this....http://www.mangareader.net/93-100-14/naruto/chapter-95.html
…..To this.
It's the difference between "knowing" about something and truly understanding something. You see it in a very different light.
In the past the Kyubi is rightfully more frightening, more intimidating, and more demon like to Naruto because 3 years ago the Kyubi made Naruto shit his pants. 3 years ago Naruto did not truly understand what was trapped in him and he was faced with the dire problem of losing control of this demon housed inside his body. The image of the Kyubi was portrayed to us as a monstrous entity with all powerful chakra and the appearance of some beast out of hell. Vague, shadowy, wrapped in mystery, and scary as hell.
As the series goes on both the readers and Naruto learn more about the 9 Tails and this knowledge puts the Kyubi in a different light all together. Fast forward 3 years and unfortunately the Kyubi is Naruto's little bitch, and he has the thing on beck and call. I can understand why the Kyubi looks so much less intimidating now. It's like a kid's fear being found out and conquered. That monster in the closet was really just the house cat scratching at the doors. Of course the Kyubi is still trying to being intimidating but it's kinda hard when the guy can just wave his hand, pin you to the floor, and tell you to shut the hell up.
As for how it's being drawn, that's just the Kyubi being shown in the real light. Not the kid's nightmare but now we're looking at it for what it truly is. Call it poor drawing, but it reminds me a lot of the Wizard of Oz and finding out who the Wiz really is.
–------------------------------------------------
The chapter was good. I like how Naruto proved how determined he was....again. If Kishi hadn't proven before that Naruto has all his priorities straight, no second thoughts, and a clear determinable goal...well he has now. It feels like a wasted chapter because all Kishi really did was emphasize Naruto's determination and his stranglehold control over the Kyubi. These things we already knew. Everything played out as expected. Naruto being optimistic, the fox being negative, and it ends with Naruto being stubborn. A stubbornness that I admire by the way no matter how naive or contradicting to common sense it is. Lol, he's been like that since chapter 1 so it's no big surprise for me.
! Just predictable and nothing new.
What made this chapter good for me was the flashback since I'm actually really looking forward to the Naruto vs. Sasuke battle. Any dynamic or confrontation hinting towards that fight always excites me. Honestly, besides a few other fights and Madara taking off that stupid mask it's the only thing I'm really looking forward to in this manga.
That only works when the thing in question isn't a TERRIFYING MONSTER OF UNIMAGINABLE POWER. The NIne Tailed Fox IS powerful. It IS (or should be) frightening. Its one of the greatest beings in the Naruto Universe. It can control and takeover a host who is to mentally weak. Hell, just being AROUND its chakra will slowly kill you i you don't have vast chakra reserves to begin with like Naruto does. The fact that the Kyuubi has become Naruto's bitch is a huge storytelling flaw in the first place.
You know you have a problem when the Evil Furball of Doom makes more sense than your fucking hero.
Only good things about this chapter were little Shino and Kiba.
Gabzilla! Welcome back!
Sorry the series has sucked lately. You should really visit the rest of the forum.
I don't think the scenes inside Naruto with the Kyuubi are actually seen by Naruto, they're sensed (unless Naruto has eyes inside his soul, and if he does, wouldn't that mess up his vision horribly and distract him from whatever he's doing when the Kyuubi comes knocking?); The only reason we see them as pictures is for the convenience of the medium, manga.
To elaborate, Naruto is probably only sensing the Kyuubi's power relative to his own, so because Naruto has gotten that much stronger, the Kyuubi looks far less intimidating.
Aaronrules: I agree that the power scale is completely stupid, but a lot of manga series seem to make the main character of the story super-important to his/her world for flimsy reasons. :/
Or, more likely, Kishi's art's turned to shit.
I don't read Naruto anymore. Anything lol-worthy recently?
Naruto's willing to accept the love of his sociopathic lover.
Also somehow both armies lost half their forces in the first day. Seriously, that's WWII Italy-level incompetence.

….good excuse but I like Cyan's explanation better.
@Cyan:

Much more simpler, much more straightforward.
Besides the fact that the fox is an actual being who had an actual physical body, making all those ideas bullshit in the first place, This type of art shift to lazy and horrible art is far from unique to the Kyuubi
The Kyubi is a terrifying monster but it's also Naruto's pet now. A big difference from 3 years ago, but I see I won't be winning this argument.
Kishi reminding us how a bitch Sakura was/is
Way to go Kishi.
Taming a beast of sheer hatred (which is also powered by hatred) and unimaginable power and making it your pet is one of the most idiotic concepts I can even begin to imagine. And you're suggesting that Kishi doing such a thing would be GOOD writing?

I should, I need to catch up with One Piece.
Naruto is too depressing right now. You can't even make fun of it.

When do the leaders start getting hung?

Read my first comment and I quote myself in saying, "Fast forward 3 years and unfortunately the Kyubi is Naruto's little bitch, and he has the thing on beck and call."
Whether it's lame or good writing is not of my concern though I don't like it myself. The whole point of my argument was to show how much the relationship between Naruto and the Kyubi has changed since Part 1. As more was revealed about the Kyubi and the Kyubi came under Naruto's control it has lead to a less than appealing look and disappointment regarding the Kyubi's status and demeanor, but the general consensus is that it's just bad drawing.
Oh my God! You uploaded his crappy review of One Piece. I was about to do that, because I thought he was honestly just nitpicking the chapter and on the whole his review was terrible.
I did agree with one of his arguments though. That the Sun Pirates should have been so pissed off at Tiger's death that they would try and kill the humans, the problem is that that goes against Tiger's ideals and Larry said that they should kill the humans, which would probably just heighten tensions. All in all Jimbe was in the right not to have any humans killed, I just think that there should've been a scene of the Sun Pirates wanting to kill the marines for killing their boss.
And he said that Oda was trying too hard to make Otohime sympathetic. Not nearly as hard as Kishimoto is trying to make Pain sympathetic. In case you guys didn't know this guy: Larry Williams has gone on record as saying: "One Piece and Naruto. You couldn't get two better Shonen right now. So I hate that people are nitpicking Naruto so much and saying One Piece is so great".
I could get better current Shonen than Naruto. Easily. Let's see, Negima, Soul Eater, Toriko, Beelzebub, Bakuman (it has its ups and downs, but it's still better than Naruto), Hunter x Hunter (even if it almost never comes out) and of course One Piece.
I just don't see how you can honestly say One Piece and Naruto are equal, unless you nitpick One Piece by saying shit like "Oda has the dumbest titles!" and if you ignore Naruto's countless flaws. I can't believe he'd say that Otohime trying to still get petitions was stupid, when he likes Naruto the manga with 600 BILLION EXPLODING PAPER TAGS!!! That's way dumber. Honestly his review was just stupid, the only thing I really agreed on was the Naruto chapter this week sucked. I can agree this isn't the best One Piece chapter, but it wasn't nearly as boring as the Naruto chapter this week. And I'm not just biased in saying that.

And little Hinata too. I agree Team 8 is awesome. And yes, it's very good to have you back. And if you like seeing stupid people nitpick One Piece and come up with the dumbest reasons for why ONE PIECE AND NARUTO ARE EQUAL!!! check out Larry's review. The only thing he's right about is that Naruto sucked this week.
Seriosly "Oda has dumb chapter titles" who gives a shit? What will they think of next. And he actually said he sided with FUCKING ARLONG! You sir, don't seem to have the best memory, because you may have forgotten that Arlong was a greedy, manipulative bastard who held Nami hostage with the lie that he would give her her village back if she got enough money, even though he had no intention of ever doing that. He held dozens of villages and probably thousands of lives hostage, and would kill anyone who couldn't pay up (although if you do the math on Arlong's extortion, it doesn't really make any sense, but anyway). He wanted to conquer a quarter of the world. And you're siding with this guy? That does not bode well for your mental health. About as much as the people who say Akainu, the man who killed innocent people out of extreme paranoia and murdered Ace right before Luffy's eyes, is actually a hero. Christ.
Actually one of the things that I love about this flashback is that we're starting to understand Arlong but Oda's not saying "he's a good person now, this excuses all of the horrible things he's done" like Kishi often does.

Oh yeah, and Naruto sucks!
It's not an review just someone bitchin about nothing. Pretty sure he put our race back like 50 years with this.
Wow. I don't think I've ever seen a chapter so utterly pointless and ham-fisted.
"So yeah, guys, just in case you weren't clear that Naruto has a massive hard-on for Sasuke, hear ya go."
It's not an review just someone bitchin about nothing. Pretty sure he put our race back like 50 years with this.
Don't worry your race will survive one guy's dumb rant. In all honesty I'm actually subscribed to him, normally he's a pretty nice guy and I usually think he explains himself pretty well. But this rant was stupid (on One Piece anyway, I didn't hear the Naruto rant). In all honesty I think I overreacted, some guy criticizing One Piece and not knowing what the hell he's talking about, like that's anything new.
Chapter was terrible. We get the point that glossy black is full of hate and darkness and all that shit.
Poor Hinata though, how she got interupted like that.
So, the Bondage Statue holds 7/9 of the Tailed Beasts, right? And one of them could supposedly destroy a country if guided to do so? My God, get Bee and Naruto in there, have someone like the Raikage Lariat kill it to death, and all that chakra creates a Hydorgen Bomb explosion that kills everybody (except cool people like the Raikage, Lee and Zabuza), and the show ends. About a 10,000x times better ending then Sasuke and Naruto sodomizing eachother in his redemption as everyone cheers and forgets he's an asshole.

I wasn't even paying attention to the art, to be honest. XD I'm just sad Kyuubi has been reduced to this.
He's even making sense and everything. The evil furball is giving the Hero a lesson is common sense.

The Hinata panel would have made me happy if she wasn't being ignored. Again.
Kiba's snark almost made up for it.
Also your avatar makes me happy and sa at the same time.
The best part of the chapter was kyubbi calling naruto a dumbass
Never thought Naruto would rly want to save Sasuke.
Amazing..thanks Kishi to pushing that once agin in our face for the 34th time. i nearly forgot.
It's such a pain when rereading some of the war chapters. All the fights that should've taken place… Kakashi wielding the Kubikiribōchō, Mū and the other Kage MAYBE ready to fight etc. Screw it Kishimoto! It could have been a good war you lazy bastard.
Kishi, why bother setting up an awesome fight if you're not going to follow through? My shitty fanfiction has less disappointment value.
At least the shippuuden episode was good. The end kind of got me, well made. And now I feel more sympathy for Danzou. Therefore I hate Sasuke even more.

To be perfectly honest, the moment I saw that scene in the episode I knew someone would mention it. First I wanted to (Sasuke's animated manga face too) but I thought that the rest of the episode was good.
And we all know that his walk and face look like some retarded monkey drew it.

But seriously, it's still better than most of the "art" in the "One Piece" Anime.

"Yeah, the animation is better. Except for that part where its awful. Just ignore that."
I thought the Pain fight had good animation. It really stepped over normal boring animu boundaries. It was like a big "fuck you" to everyone.
