I don't know all the german dub naruto edits but the 4 kids one is too atrocious to even think anything can beat it.
-
Comedy aside, Cyan is right. German Naruto dub is down there. Right next to 4kids One Piece. The fighting episodes usually have like 50-200 cuts or edits. Plus constantly getting lines wrong or leaving them out. The describtions are in German, but the sheer number of items on this list should get the point across. And this is just fore episode 19: http://www.animedigital.de/index.htm?locus=http://www.animedigital.de/Projekte/Naruto/19/folge19.php

4Kids can't top this shit.
Is that a REAL censored image of…. the entire fucking sword??!?
Or is that a PARODY of censoring?
Cuz if that's real... lol @ Germany.

Germany produces some of the hottest, most depraved porn on the planet.
Despite this, they believe that blood stains are indecent and should be erased.

Tenten is even harder to find than Pandaman and Wally combined.

I think Stan said it best:
-
Wait, that giant statue thing…isn't that the container of the tailed beasts akatsuki has collected? Meaning that it should be absolute top priority to protect it if Madara ever plans on summoning Mewten?!
And he's bringing it to the friggin frontlines as the biggest target out there?!
-
Shippuden has gotten a lot better with edits and cuts and censorship.

At this point I think Kishi-Sensei is out of ideas and thought: "what if I bring this thing into battle?" There's also a reason I'm sure. But I don't think it'll advance the plot. Unless that thing can fight?

I just started listening to the Pokemon theme while I went through the ending of the last Naruto thread, and I realized how much of a soft spot I still have for Naruto. In spite of all the crap Kishi has given us over the years, it can't be denied that the man had good ideas and concepts for his series, and I think he does have at least some talent, it's more that after a while he stopped caring, didn't really know how to end it, and was just doing it for a paycheck. But Zabuza, Chunin Exams and even Sasuke Retrieval (imo) were really good arcs and if Naruto had more arcs like that, it would be a top tier Shonen for sure.
I loved that the protagonist was an outcast, with no friends, no parents, no talent and who everyone hated, yet he still wanted to be the best, so people would finally respect him. And as an 11-12 year old kid watching Naruto on Toonami every week it was very relatable and inspiring and really blew my middle school mind away. So in spite of all the crap Naruto will probably always hold a special place in my heart, for what it was and what it could have been. You could call it a guilty pleasure (although I mostly focus on the parts that people actually think are good). But I would be a complete liar if I told you there weren't dozens, if not hundreds, of manga that would be a better use of your time then Naruto, because Kishi screwed up!

@RobbyBevard:
Is Jiraiya alive yet?
I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but Kabuto couldn't pick up Jiraiya's corpse because it was already falling so deep into the ocean.

1-That's a BS excuse from Kishi to begin with, since he was able to get pieces of hundreds of other random well guarded ninjas. Getting say, a strand of Jiraiay's hair from somewhere shouldn't have been hard.
2-I said "Alive" not "a zombie".No body, no witnesses, no funeral, convenient work around the lack of a zombie…. Jiraiya is alive and kicking somewhere and will show up again once the current troubles are all over to give out a "happier" ending.

Glad I'm not the only one who's waiting for Jiraiya's return.

In a frog suit? :ninja:

In a frog suit? :ninja:
Oh Dear Whitebeard. Thanks for reminding of that. Jesus, Kishi just why? Why did you have to stain our memory of Jiraiya with that?
-
What are you talking about?
-
What are you talking about?
http://www.mangareader.net/93-57640-5/naruto/chapter-511.html
YOUR WELCOME. -
That's easily one of the worst chapters ever. Aside from the frog suits, Kishi goes out of his way to offscreen the only STRAIGHT kiss in the series, and the ending where Konan uses the very last of her energy to send a piece of paper flying to cover up a picture no one is going to see.And this right after rainbow bridge of 600 billion exploding tags.
God that was awful.
-
Wtf. ….............
-
I Jiraiya does come back wearing his frog suit, maybe to talk Nagato and Konan to death, then I will literally lose it. I will fly off the handle. I will do a fucking backflip pirouette off the handle and probably get some sort of fucking medal or something.
-
Jiraiya needs to come back to the actual series. I'm still not convinced he's dead.
-

Good.
Because he's not.
-
You all have no idea how much those frog suits pissed me off.
-
You all have no idea how much those frog suits pissed me off.
I'm on the same boat as you, I thought that was such a stupid idea.
-
I guess kishi remembered he hadn't put in a gag for about, yeah, the whole series. So he did it just randomly with the first idea he got.
-
You guys, you don't realize that the best way for war orphans to get over their problems is to dress up as frogs.
-
@Cyan:
This is beautiful.

NEVER take "Naruto", seriously.
Also, why even bother creating a "Naruto" thread, if in the end, all posts are basically saying "lulz neRuto sucKz!!! oNe PiEce fo teh wiN!!!!1111"?

You should read some of the previous 12 threads. That's not the only thing that gets said.
Sure at this point the series is in such a state of decay and rot there's not much positive that can be thrown at it, but…
-
Yes, because we've never given reasons why Naruto sucks [/sarcasm]
Really though, we are entitled to a place to discuss Naruto. Its not our fault Naruto went from an extremely awesome series to piece of crap manga about two gay lovers. If Kishimoto does something well, we'll admit it and compliment him for it. BUt our opinions on Naruto have nothing to do with our opinions on One Piece. I honestly tried to keep liking Naruto long after it started sucking, but I could only take so much and I snapped at the end of the Pain arc

The best part? It's an extension of this:

Silvers Rayleigh being dead does not mean that bad Fall 2010 posters are allowed to voice their opinions.
-
@Aaronrules380 Yeah, I understand. It just makes me mad, how sometimes people who doesn't like "Naruto" started pulling the "Narutard" card at the people who likes "Naruto".
@Cyan:Silvers Rayleigh being dead does not mean that bad Fall 2010 posters are allowed to voice their opinions.
Good thing I'm not a bad poster.
-
When someone denies Naruto has any flaws and touts it as one of the greatest mangas ever, then they ARE a Narutard. Which is what most Naruto fans seem to do nowadays, with most of the rest admitting the flaws but dismissing them as completely unimportant
-
Yeah, unfortunately, people who likes "Naruto", but doesn't deny all its flaws are sometimes still called "Narutard" by those idiots on the net.
Also, when did "Naruto" started becoming crap, in your opinion?
-

Rescue Sasuke arc.
Then a tangible dip at the start of part 2.
Then beyond the point of no return after Pain, is pretty much the general consensus.
-
I remember at the end of the Pain arc, right before Pain brought everyone back to life, I was talking to my friend about how there was no way Kishi would actually do something as stupid as mass ressurection and how Pain would probably just aid in reconstructing Konoha or something like that. Especially since Kishi had went out of his way to make it so Hinata actually survived the attack that had supposedly killed her, which I could see no point to if he was going to bring everyone who died back anyways

Is "Bleach" better than "Naruto"? I wanted to read it, but after seeing people's opinions about it…. not so much....
-
Bleach is probably the worst manga I've ever read. Not the worst manga ever since I'm sure worse exist that just aren't as well known, but its still a heaping pile of utter shit which has almost no good points and even its best aspects are only decent nowadays. It used to be a bit better, but it was never great in my opinion. ALthough, if you don't mind a huge portion of complete stupidity, it is a great conversation maker as something you can use to hate on. Especially since the writer is a smug asshole whose reason for not drawing backgrounds is because he wants to draw the "air" and who purposely plans NOTHING in advance since he thinks doing that would make his manga worse

They're both terrible in different ways.
If you asked that 5 years ago I'd say it was worth reading. Now? Not so much.

One thing almost everyone can agree on is that Bleach is way worse than Naruto, and that's saying something. Why does Bleach suck? Let's see, this could take a while.
1. Horrible pacing
2. Bland protagonist
3. Useless other protagonists who are sadly much cooler
4. Boring as hell villains
5. No end to asspulls during fights
6. Unbelievably contrived, paper thin story
I could probably go on but I think I hit the major ones. Don't read Bleach, as bad as Naruto gets Bleach is way worse. Although I think you might not have been serious there. And yeah I actually agree with you there, there are some people who like Naruto but they acknowledge all of its flaws but they loved part one and hope it will get better or they at least see enough in it to justify liking it. And yet they are still called Narutard. It does kind of piss me off.
What do people have against the Sasuke Retrieval arc? I personally love that arc, everyone got to be a badass in that arc (well except the girls, aside from Temari who I'm starting to become convinced is actually a man seeing as how "she" actually gets to do kind of do things but I digress).
But what I guess I'm trying to say here is that we aren't unjustified in our criticisms of Naruto and there are a couple of posters here (Choperman, Outerspec) who still like Naruto and they explain themselves well enough that they are more or less respected, people are allowed to like Naruto as long as they explain themselves well enough. Juju14/Youngjustice20 was not one of those posters, he was our pet Narutard monkey. And I for one don't mind Naruto, I don't see it as horrible like most other people here. Part 2 is pretty horrible but part one makes up for it enough to keep Naruto in the decent/average range.
Edit: @Aaronrules380 and yeah the only thing Bleach is really good for after the Soul Society arc is to be mocked incessantly, it's fun making fun of it's stupidity since there's so much of it, but even I couldn't bear with it. I actually gave up somewhere around Fake Karakura Town I just totally didn't care anymore (and from what I've heard about Deicide I may or may not be glad about that, and by not I mean that it actually to some people became better in the Deicide arc because of how off the wall stupid it was actually making it better). Once you get to the Hueco Mundo arc Bleach is either two things. Stupid and boring, are so stupid it's hilarious. Almost never anything other than those two. Some would even say Soul Society was mediocre. So I would not recommend Bleach it is the worst manga that I've ever read, although I generally stay away from bad manga like Reborn, Shaman King, Air Gear, Inuyasha etc. So yeah, sorry for the long post.

If kubo started planing Bleach would literaly implode in it's plotholes.
-
If Kubo started planning he might actually be able to stop creating an endless series of plot holes since he'd have some idea of where he was going. It would at the very least help with the problem of 5 different explanations for the exact same thing that Kubo tends to give

IMO not big deals, at least not enough to ruin an otherwise great arc, but I can definitely see where you're coming from with that.
-

When you give 5 reasons for how the stone works / what are hollows / the components of the world / what role has Aizen in EVERYTHING / origin of Chad's powers, there's no in-plot reason satisfying enough to catch all the inconsistences.
The only positive change that Bleach could undergo is to become a Gag manga.
Everyone who enters a room aparears behind someone else.
Ichigo is the straigth man, all that he does is complain about the inconsistences.
Orihime is the real protagonist and defeats the enemies with charm, inocence, weak ass attacks and gigantic boobs.
Aizen follows innane plans and no mater what happens he says "All acording to the plan!" And loves Ramen for some reason. -

Bleach the manga isn't very entertaining. The only time I ever read it is in the American Shonen Jump Magazine. The 3 chapters they put in every month. Bleach the anime I catch every so often on [adult swim], and the subbed version of the latest Japanese episodes by VIZ I don't watch, because one episode, they could be getting to an interesting canon part, but then go into fillers the very next week for like a month and then come back for 10 canon eps then repeat the process.
I wish that the anime could be enjoyable but it has too many flaws and doesn't seem to want to follow the storyline faithfully.:getlost:
Edit: Not to say that anime's that don't follow their manga counterparts faithfully aren't good (I.E. Fullmetal Alchemist the first series), but Bleach doesn't seem to want to do a good following.
