Isshin showed up in Shinigami robes and swinging around a zanpakuto in chapter 187 and then in chapter 188, Urahara asked him how it felt to be a Shinigami again, IIRC.

Oh God yes. The fairies, they were forgotten about eons ago, and probably will never show up again. Honestly, I never really cared for them, but I still hate when plotlines or aspects of the story are just forgotten about and never spoken again. It pisses me off.

He has one attack that he spams until he dies, and his inner hollow appears and saves him. Makes you wonder why he even tries in the first place, instead of losing intentionally.

If you read Bleach backwards, it's a about a kid who loses his powers as a Shinigami and then gets them back to go on a few adventures. Then he loses them again.
If you read it normally, it's about a kid who gets Shinigami powers and goes on a few adventures, then loses them, then gets them back.

Sniper : I read most of Bleach backwards, actualy, and it makes all the asspulls and last minute end of chapter rescue apearances of characters who themselves need to get promptly rescued anyway so much more hilarious.
