Egypt's ruling military council is set to hand over power within months after voters overwhelmingly endorsed constitutional amendments in a referendum which paves the way for elections this summer.

The Muslim Brotherhood and the National Democratic Party (NDP) were the only main organisations to campaign for a "yes" vote, arguing that the sooner Egyptians returned to civilian rule the better.
Almost all the other main opposition figures, including Mr El Baradei, were opposed. They argued that summer elections would benefit the well-organised Muslim Brotherhood and NDP, and that a year-long interim period was required to develop Egypt's political base.[qimg]http://www.yibis.com/Smileys/default/face-confused.png[/qimg]
The result was 77.2% yes & 27.8% No.
As you said the opposition was calling for a "No" while NDP & Muslim Brotherhood was calling for a "Yes". But the results doesn't reflect the NDP or MB influence at all.
Most of the voters to "yes" were seeking the return of stability & civil rule asap. The parliament elections are scheduled after 6 month anyway, the call for more time than that by the opposition wasn't convincing (specially that Egypt won't be able to economically recover under a Military rule).
So basically the Opposition went for choice that can buy them more time and the people denied them that (proving that as of now no party has a real majority or approval). All This will have nothing to do with the coming elections as everything is still up for grabs. So don't worry, it's not like 70% are approving of MB or anything.
