Love the "A Clockwork Orange" makeup on Corazon.
And now we just need someone called Dulcinea. Or Sancho Panza.

I just have to say this because it is handed over on a silver platter:
Kyros is busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.
ummm…. what?
it's clearly expressed that dimante is suprised by this (the guy who runs the coliseum)
it's very obvious it has to do with her pacifist like nature, that she herself chooses not to have a bladed sword, ever read rurouni kenshin?
and why do you hate Doflamingo he's awesome! he's supposed to be an evil manipulative bastard (well still being incredibly suave)
(Late answer is late.)
I've never liked Doflamingo. The reason is that he is an evil manipulative bastard - which was already clear in his first appearance way back in chapter 233; his second one in Mariejois cemented that for me - and I've always had a very low tolerance towards people like that (real and fictional).
No, I haven't read "Rurouni kenshin". I actually have read only three other mangas: "Ranma 1/2", "Azumanga Daioh" and "Blade of the Immortal". None of the other mangas have been interesting enough for me to read through - not even "Lone Wolf and Cub".
Hum. A bladeless sword. It seems that the game is rigged - the gladiators don't even get real weapons.
Nice work, Doflamingo. I dislike you even more.
@indigo~ink:
You can only be King or Queen by birthright. If the King takes a wife, she assumes a courtesy title of "Queen Consort". However the husband of a reigning Queen cannot become King Consort. A woman takes the rank and title of her husband, but not vice versa. Think of the British monarchy - Prince Philip did not take the title King Consort.
Therefooore the 800 year span accounts for 12 Kings, but also however many Queens that had reigned over Alabasta. No plot hole.
This. It is surprising how many people seem to think that a ruling monarch can only be a male, a King, when in the Real World things do not work that way.
Queen Elizabeth II is a prime example, as is/was Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands (she abdicated this year and is now referred as Princess Beatrix). Her late husband was Prince Bernhard, not King Bernhard.
The Netherlands has actually had a Queen, not a King for three generations in a row: Queen Beatrix, her mother, Queen Juliana and her grandmother Queen Wilhelmina.
(My Dutch friend told me that there were quite a lot of jokes how everything in the speeches and such has to be changed now when they have a King for the first time after about 120 years...)
Also, the Crown Princess Victoria will be the future Queen of Sweden and her husband is Prince Daniel, not King Daniel. (Their infant daughter, Princess Estelle also will be the next queen regnant -"a female monarch who reigns in her own right"- after her mother if nothing drastic happens.)
Never liked Moriah, so I'll have to vote against him. Sorry, Shanks.
EDIT: I also noticed Portgas D. ROUGE and SCARLET.
Oh, nice find. Another little parallel.
(…dear God, please don't let this turn into a "OMG there siblings"-thing because that would be absolutely horrible and most likely wrong.)
I kind of enjoy the little parallel between Rebecca and Ace (especially with the Mera Mera fruit being the price) : being hated and despised by everyone because of your family (or a family member you never even met), not because of something you did.
Voted for Shakky. I like her more.
Voted for Tom, because I like guys who can build stuff.
