Massoud was a really tragic and great loss, not only for the Middle Eastern but also for the Western world. He was the one that showed that you can be a deeply religious man without being an extremist shithead at the same time. It's a shame so many people still don't know about him, he was a beast when it came to standing up for his country's people.
I am embarrassed to admit I never heard of him until a minute ago. Now I know.
And can fully perceive the retardedness of dragonxpiece's posts in all its splendour.
He's one of the few people who you look at their death and can literally see history change course. Unfortunately in the worst way.
We would probably have Osama now, after all Osama was clearly terrified enough of him to have him killed.
People are celebrating right now in Benghazi and probably in all Libya.
People are celebrating right now in Benghazi and probably in all Libya.
What do you mean?
They announced the no-fly zone.

….....................
@JERK:
What do you mean?
I'm looking at Realtime on Google, and I'm hearing the UN has decided to implement a No-Fly Zone already.
About fucking time really what were they going for last minute hero entrance?
is actually happy CHAMPAGNE. This should boost the moral of the rebels too yay!!
sSytMRWHP54
Gaddafi drops martini and stares blankly at television
Sarkozy to personally ride missile into Gaddafi's compound.
How does the UN ensure that Gadaffi doesn't break the no-fly zone?
@Thousand:
How does the UN ensure that Gadaffi doesn't break the no-fly zone?
Sarkozy-ridden missile into compound for every plane he sends out.
@Cyan:
Sarkozy-ridden missile into compound for every plane he sends out.
Yeah that'll work…
Hopefully it'll be just the thing needed for the rebels to make a comeback.
@Thousand:
How does the UN ensure that Gadaffi doesn't break the no-fly zone?
Uh… well.... when a plane hates another plane very much it fires it's missiles into that plane and makes the pilot go away for a long time.
@JERK:
You moron.
The current infrastructure and administration is largely made up of former rebels against the Taliban.
Karzai was a rebel. Dostum was a rebel. Ismail Khan was a rebel.
They've been rebels for over a decade some of them. Many of them were rebels against the Communists, then against the Taliban.
And when we were planning to run out the Taliban they were the first people we contacted, and we were already thinking about who to place into positions in the new government after we ran the Taliban out.You know what, I don't think you do.
Before if nothing else I assumed you would understand this, especially being as it's not very hard.But you don't seem to have the slightest clue who the current Afghan government and politicians were before we came in.
I half expect you to act shocked at the mention of Communists being there at one point.
Massoud was a hero and potentially the greatest Muslim hero in centuries had he lived into the new Afghanistan. He could have singlehandedly built cultural bridges between the US and Muslim world, he even tried warning us about Bin Laden planning something major against us.
Bin Laden had him killed like a month before 9-11.I don't think you even know about the Massoud I'm talking about thankfully, you better have been thinking of someone else.
Karzai was a funder of insurgency against the Taliban. ooohhhh noooo a reebbeelll!
Dude calm down, shit man geeze. stop spreading stuff, im not talking bad about one of the man who I admire (The tiger of Afghanistan) , im calling an idiot this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massoud_Rajavi. NEXT TIME SPECIFY which Massoud you are talking by using FULL names. specially in the arab world , you better use full names.
I love what Ahmad Massoud did .
I am assuming that you have been to Afghanistan and fought there and studied for years their politics, situations and popular people right? because you obviously talk like someone who knows everything about it, you moron.
everyone here seems to not like the fact that I dont agree with an armed revolution by civilians and the formation of Rebel armies against the current authorities. My bad that I dont agree with all of you, but not because of that you guys have to insult. Look I am in the side of the coin that if ever happens would be closest to that of the Libyan armed forces, so when you say the troops feelings and thoughts dont count, that is hitting a nerver here. I have been in the field and I only talk based on my experience.
I said it before and say it again, F*** Gaddafi! not sure why still the hate against what I say , I support the people to kick out the dictator. I just dont agree with some points, is that such a subject to attack me? seriously. you guys are all attacking me and most of you dont even live in Libya. While I am not attacking anyone , just expressing my opinion towards a conflcit.
so banned should be you guys who dont respect other members and their opinions. in my case, I havent insulted anyone nor attacked anyone.
So moderators, keep that in mind.
Conflict of ideals and Opinions, that is how the world works, if we all agree then what the point of UN and other international organizations and democracy? it seems to me that you guys are implementing Groupthink here and there.
Fuck yeah. (Almost) just in time. At least now, the people in Benghazi don't have to fight all alone.
I still think the UNSC needs a change in structure in order to be more efficient.
Dude calm down, shit man geeze. stop spreading stuff, im not talking bad about one of the man who I admire (The tiger of Afghanistan)
LION, NOT TIGER
, im calling an idiot this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massoud_Rajavi. NEXT TIME SPECIFY which Massoud you are talking by using FULL names. specially in the arab world , you better use full names.
AFGHANISTAN IS NOT THE ARAB WORLD
Also BULLSHIT did you think I was talking about some random Iranian politician.
I am assuming that you have been to Afghanistan and fought there and studied for years their politics, situations and popular people right? because you obviously talk like someone who knows everything about it, you moron.
YOU JUST CALLED IT THE ARAB WORLD
everyone here seems to not like the fact that I dont agree with an armed revolution by civilians and the formation of Rebel armies against the current authorities.
Maybe part of that is how you're "currently fighting" in a war that was against the current authorties allied with rebel armies who you are now defending as the new government and probably even fighting alongside.
My bad that I dont agree with all of you, but not because of that you guys have to insult. Look I am in the side of the coin that if ever happens would be closest to that of the Libyan armed forces,
If you wouldn't side with the American people against a 40 year (FOURTY YEAR) dictator we lived under hypothetically then go fuck yourself.
What the hell is your motive as a soldier in the first place. You're ostensibly defending the people back home. Or not evidently.
so when you say the troops feelings and thoughts dont count, that is hitting a nerver here. I have been in the field and I only talk based on my experience.
Hey remember last time around when I called you, admittingly in a moment of rash anger, a praetorian guard with huge loathing for actual civilian Americans relative to a shouldneverexist in this scenario soldier for soldier agenda?
Yeah, I take back that it was rash anger.
I said it before and say it again, F*** Gaddafi! not sure why still the hate against what I say , I support the people to kick out the dictator. I think the funniest part is that you still seem to hold some innocent naive expectations of talking with Kuma in some happy bubble land away from the "uninformed" american civilians.
When after this shit (if he's even goddamn alive) he's going to be ten times harsher than me. The dude was literally in makeshift rebel army training.
so banned should be you guys who dont respect other members and their opinions. in my case, I havent insulted anyone nor attacked anyone.
And yet you've far far far more disgusting and offensive. Funny how that is.
Conflict of ideals and Opinions, that is how the world works, if we all agree then what the point of UN and other international organizations and democracy? it seems to me that you guys are implementing Groupthink here and there.

Let me rephrase it, the Muslim world. happy?
the rest of what you said, bla bla bla. Im sick of arguing.
Long live peaceful revolutions, out with the tyrant.
and for your info, I never went there to help an army overthrown the government, I went there to fight terrorist who according to our chain of command where supporting and giving quarter to those who attacked US.
Dragonxpiece, what do you expect the Libyan people to do, sit around until he dies and hope that Saif-Islam has a sudden change of character and stops being a dick like his father? I don't know if you've missed this the last 100 times you've been told this, but when the people try to protest they get shot, they did not attack first. They want their voices to be heard and Gaddafi refuses to listen.
Also, why are you acting like the people have no right to take control of the country? America was founded because of a revolution. The constitution allows people to have guns so that, if need be, they can once again stage a revolution. Muammar Gaddafi is only in power because of a revolution he staged, nobody voted him in. The sane, rational people of Libya have just as much right to fight for control of the country as Gaddafi does.
They announced the no-fly zone.
They did? sight I'm not sure what to think of this. If they are willing to agree on it now, they should have done so when the revolution was gaining momentum not losing it. Why do we have to go the long and painful road of supporting a revolution that we are not sure will win, when we could have supported one that was sure to win less than a month ago? And why are we the ones who have to do it anyway? Wasn't this supposed to be the coming of age event for the Arab world? How about it Arab League? Do something! This is a UN resolution, it doesn't have to be the NATO going there!
everyone here seems to not like the fact that I dont agree with an armed revolution by civilians and the formation of Rebel armies against the current authorities.
"Oh no some people have dared to take up arms shit they must be radicals,islamists!!Quick let's talk to one to confirm"
The reactions are because you do not want to see ordinary people were pushed to armed rebellion with no alternative but torture/death had they not done so.What do you suppose they should've done? What change would everyone fleeing the country bring?Or hey guys you have endured 40 years of trolling what is another 40 eh be patient gosh.
This was a historic,rare opportunity,the people tried not missing the rdv through peace.It didnt work.You say fuck Gaddafi then blame his inhuman and scaredycat handling of the protests and stop condemning the victim's response already what is done is done chanel your energy towards supporting a just fight. /off to bed
You know what would've been perfect? If Gaddafi just went and dropped dead the moment the no-fly zone was announced.
Why is it that every. single. person. who makes these idiotic statements ALWAYS eventually falls back to "BWAAAAAAA NO ONE AGREES WITH ME THIS BOARD IS FULL OF MEANIES"?
I think this is like the fifth time I saw this happen.
Heard about the 'No-Fly Zone' being announced on CNN while I was at my coffee house meeting today.
Why a coffee house is playing CNN I'll never know, but it's still good news.
and for your info, I never went there to help an army overthrown the government, I went there to fight terrorist who according to our chain of command where supporting and giving quarter to those who attacked US.
You overthrew a government. You did this alongside rebel forces.
Now you defend those rebels in their position as new government.
@Cyan:
Sarkozy-ridden missile into compound for every plane he sends out.
But….we don't have enough Sarkozy's !!!
I went there to fight terrorist who according to our chain of command where supporting and giving quarter to those who attacked US.
Don't bring this shit anymore please, and don't play the hero because practically everyone knows why the US attacked those so called "terrorists".
@Cyan:
You're awesome man. You're just awesome.
Damn I've been reading dragonx and I noticed something in me: I completely lost the drive to argue with idiots.. I don't know if this is a good thing or not.
And I am happy there is a no fly zone now. I hope it'llgive the people more courage. It was nerve-wracking to see gaddafi's thugs gain terrain on the freedom fighters. I hope it ends well.
France says there could be air strikes "within hours" against Libya.

Saif al-Islam says that it is unfair, because they haven't been bombing civilians.
like father like son
Eh I didn't say Gaddafi was right. But I dont believe based on my experience in Afghanistan that civilians should attack government forces. it just make things worst.
No they shouldn't get bombed neither. They should just avoid any violence and follow government warnings, I mean come one people, if the government tells you they will bomb you if you dont leave, and you stay, aren't you already warned and pretty much you accepted being bombed?
Everytime in Afghanistan someone hated us for being there, or for whatever reason, they turned to the Taliban and insurgency, yes they were citizens, but no ISAF soldier hesitated on shoting them down once they had a weapon and a will against us. Most governments in the world labeled these "civilians" as terrorist and insurgents, and the ones that we considered civilians were those who stayed home, tried to comply or at least knew something was wrong and decided to do things more diplomatically, and if they didnt achieved them, then oh well. I am against Gaddafi, but I cant look with good eyes neither the rebel army trying to take cities from the corrupt leader, that is just putting more gasoline to the fire.
Dude, shut up and read the thread, from the top.
What right does an american soldier have about talking about the freedom of revolt of arab people? Seriously?
"If you are warned that are about to be bombed and you don't leave is your fault"? That is the most stupid argument that I've heard in all arlong park, and I was in the perona wars.
Your advice to the people who are being killed is to be sheeps and wait for the american army to butt in the conflicts of other countries?
Libya declares ceasefire against the rebels after the U.N. decision.

"We decided on an immediate cease-fire and on an immediate stop to all military operations," he (foreign minister Moussa Koussa) told reporters.
"(Libya) takes great interest in protecting civilians," he said, adding that the country would also protect all foreigners and foreign assets in Libya.

*said after military slaughtered a hospital
I'm an optimist but even I know it's still not over, but this is good news!
Great news, thank you UN.
Now that the military has ceased firing, this next stage should be relatively easy.@Sâuza:
You're awesome man. You're just awesome.
YOU DEFEATED GADDAFIDILLO
YOU GET: SYRIAN REVOLUTION
I heard on the news that aparently the army is stil bombing Misurata.
I guess he meant no air strikes because they're still firing there and according to witnesses they can't count the number of deaths.
In Libya, peace means military bombarding of cilvilians !
The immediate reaction was that he was lying anyway, so it's not as if he's even gained any time by it.
So I heard Qatar actualy volunteered to enforce the no fly zone.
Any idea about that ?
They said there will be 4 arab countries participating, but the degree of involvement, wether military or financially, isn't clear right now.
Qatar, and the Arab Emirates, too:

(If this was what you meant…)
And things are starting to boil over also in Yemen.
