@BigLuffy559:
What you can't tell from my summary of what I liked in this chapter is that my standards for Bleach are practically zero. The Arrancar arc was so disappointing chapter after chapter that I decided I needed to view/read Bleach in a different way. I dropped all expectations and even regard Bleach as a gag manga of sorts(especially Aizen's antics). So when we get a chapter that is more than just a bunch of bullshit and a bad cliffhanger, I am pleasantly surprised.
Bleach doesn't have to make sense to me. In fact, I prefer that it doesn't make sense so I can be further entertained by the people making fun of it in this thread. The fact is, I read Bleach for free each week online just because it is there and there are some things that I still want to see happen, such as a few Bankais that are left.
Please don't lump me in with the fools that give Bleach votes for the ToC or buy the volumes to keep this debacle afloat, because that is not me. My summary may sound like praise, but I was just pleasantly surprised that it wasn't complete trash(compared to most of the chapters in this arc). If you go in actively planning on hating it, you probably will. If you go in with literally zero expectations that anything good will happen, you might find something you like(but probably not).
The reason I "lumped you in" with anything is because your positive post was implying that, since stuff happened, the chapter was good - or in other words, better pacing would mean bleach was a good series. This isn't so. There's still the hammy dialogue (Unagiya), the lazy art (page 17, my God), the shoddy characterization (Jackie), the plotholes and sheer nonsense (Isshin/Urahara bit, Ichigo back at training) the poor exposition (anything fullbringer related) or people flat out acting like no real person would. Better pacing doesnt make all that go away.
And for the record, I admire people capable of having a positive attitude to stuff, and I'm propably a lot more cynical and pessemistic than you, but that doesn't mean that I'm desperately making up faults to mock Bleach; I scratch the surface of a chapter, and Kubo offers faults on a silver platter. The day Kubo churns out a decent chapter I wont say a single bad word- but that day will propably never come.
@chopperrules:
The real reason Bleach is still alive is because us fools sit around and try to dissect it when it's obvious without doing so that Kubo half-asses it.
Yeah, because us reading it for free on the net and then criticizing the hell out of it earns Kubo tonnes of cash and top rankings in WSJ right? Just like how twilight is supported by people who just make fun of it.
Seriously, I don't get what you're saying. It's not like the hardcore japanese fans reads it for free and everyone who buys the DVDs/ tanks are haters, and if anything our efforts in this thread serve to discourage people from investing in Kubos product.
@F-trash:
I think for people aware of ghosts, it would be quite hard to not know about him after the whole Aizen battle.
Thats plausible, but I got the impression that the fullbringers were "from next town over" or something like that. If they're lifelong Karakura residents you'd think they'd contact Ichigo while he still had his powers rather than a year after he lost them, forcing them to restore them.
@F-trash:
I agree that it is stupid they were never mentioned before, but that badge phone call moment at least could be interpreted as them knowing about them and despising them. So we will probably get an explanation of this later on.
Still, you'd think it'd have come up whenever Chad interacted with the shinigami, or when trained by Urahara. They can't mind them that much if they never questioned Chad and his powers.

Isn't it still the afro guy? Wasn't it mentioned that currently Ishida does that job because afro guy is a lazy bastard? I don't really remember, but I'm pretty sure something like that was mentioned in one of the first chapters after the timeskip.
Thats true, but that doesn't mean he's never around- at least not for the soul burials, since Ishida cant take care of those.

I don't really agree this is a bad thing - the faster we are done with that training stuff, the better.
Otherwise I agree with your arguments, but still I think this chapter was a huge improvement to the previous weeks since at least we got better pacing.
The pacing came at the price of the Isshin/urahara moment, and Ichigo suspecting them, but not enough to do something about it for several days- I.E. making it a waste of time. Especially considering Ganju said he was just using Isshin to grab Ichigos interest.
