Still, I like that Hodi is a new generation of pirate like Luffy. It does create that parallel between them of two young pirates trying to live up the men that inspired them (Arlong and Shanks).
Ooh nice observation
VDD said that there are numerous ways to stop the projectiles.. wonder what they are besides having them hit something else.
Yeah–that seems like it was some nice foreshadowing by Oda for that inevitable battle to come, doesn' it?
Really loved the dialogue between Hatchi and the other Fishmen. To think Arlong asked some of those men to join him on his crusade. I wonder how they declined his offer 10 or so years ago? I can see Arlong getting very pissed off that that they would not join him and also at the same time I could see him being very passive about it. God this flash back is going to be something else!
Though I feel no one is SH worthy yet, it seems like any chapter now we will meet someone who will really strike a cord with everyone on the forums.
well, Hatchi said they refused to heed his call, or something along those lines, right? That sounds like a more general call to any fishmen interested, as opposed to individual invitations, IMHO
General observations–WTH are the FP getting all the money they seem to have? Paying the swordsman's fee, which is seemingly high, buying all those drugs, since they don't treat them as precious and rare and as though they ought to be preserved for special occasions, etc. Not to mention that VdD was stopping and robbing all the incoming pirate ships, so they weren't getting money from them. All of that still points to another in the background pulling strings to me.
Also, things are moving along at a startlingly quick pace. Already we are getting back with Jinbe and Hatchi? Whoo, that was fast. That plus the fact the Franky is visiting Tom's relatives (seems like potential there) and Robin off digging up potentially "explosive" info about the void century and another weapon (see what I did there, LOL?) Looks like this will have more than one part, and more than one location, to me.
