Vegapunk = Aizen?
Not necessarily. It's most certainly true that I would desire/like to see Vegapunk have the same type of Intellect Aizen has for calculating plans and such (the ability to be a master manipulator and tactician), but have virtually none of Aizen's speed, strength, or overly hax fighting powers AT ALL. Basically, aside from similar intelligence/cunning/mind games, he perfectly normal. Just as strong or as fast as a normal East Blue civilain/ extra fodder-fodder pirate. It would enforce the idea that the SOLE and ONLY greatest thing about Vegapunk would be his mind. After all, Kuma himself said that Vegapunk's knowledge is approximately 500 years ahead of the rest of the world, so I think that he should be that smart. With Aizen, not only did he have overly hax intelligence, but also overly hax fighting ablilities (his sword), overly hax speed, overly hax strength, and overly hax transformations. That's not what I imagine for Vegapunk, not at all. For example, imagine Aizens' mind in Hanatarou's body. Extremely smart like Aizen, but not physically fast or strong at all. Average, if even that. Furthermore, It's not like he's seeing into the future or using a hax ability like Aizen or anything, he's just looking at Luffy's past recklessness, motivations, and achievements in Arabasta and Enies Lobby, as well as his knowlege about Luffy's past childhood with Ace and knowledge about Hancock's past with the World Nobles (he's probably lived in Mariejois for quite some time) and planning accordingly to what would most likely be their next actions based on their emotions and personalities if set up certain events. That's what makes him dangerous and nothing else, I believe.

Vegapunk = Aizen?
+1
First thing that came to mind when I read "master mind" Lol.
I would say it's more likely vegapunk is a prisoner of the world government and/or a spy for the revolutionary army. The information given by the villagers of his city of birth suggests vegapunk is someone who looked out for his town, not some evil aizen wanna-be and very young.
You have my props on writting out a dialog, but it comes out making vegapunk sound like aizen but with Gin's attitude.

Yeah, after reading through it again, I can totally see what you mean when you say that Vegapunk comes out sounding like Aizen with Gin's attitude, and I do agree, but in all and complete honesty, for those of you here who have read most/all of the Deadman Wonderland manga, I was aiming more for of an Aizen-like mind with an overall personality and appearence like Promoter Tamaki. Thanks for at least giving me props on the dialog, though! (It was kinda long)

Yes, that can certianly happen, but for some strange reason I believe that Vegapunk was corrupted by the government like how Crocodile was very similar to Luffy in his youth but was corrupted by the harsh sea. Who knows, it just a silly fun theory of mine.
Spend this time studying you could become something instead of coming up with theories about something you have no control over… seriously...
Already completed my studies/assignments for the day, thank you very much. This is what's called "down time". :getlost:

Heh legend
I'll say it was nice reading your theory, although I don't agree with it in the slightest but I like it if people are putting some serious effort into debating things
So thank you for that

The whole thing with the phonoglyphs and void century is way older than vegapunk and rests with the world government, unless vegapunk is an 800 year old cyborg or his brain is connected to a computer (hope not). On e single person calling the shots is something I hope doesn't materialize as I'd prefer it if an organization, world government, were calling all the shots, and vegapunk was like some kind of prisoner.

Vegapunk = Aizen?
Actually, Vegapunk > Aizen …
So, this is rather possible. Vegapunk might become a common enemy for Luffy and Blackbeard, and/or many other pirates, before they fight for the title or something.
By giving him such intellect, Oda might want to give him one of the most important roles in One Piece. And in LATE One Piece. -
Vegapunk might be the type that doesn't care who he works for as long as he can develop his science.

he is only using the world govt for there money the things he is making costs alot of money for items to make them this is why nasa works for the govt
-

Yes. I believe that he's truly in it for himself and his merely using the government's resources and funding to develop his science/experiments.

Your studies must really suck if that was your down time, just saying. :wassat:
Ye- What? How on earth did you come to that conclusion? I don't know where you live or what time zone you're in, but it was about 11 O' Clock at night when I posted that. I'm certainly back home from from my college campus and have already finished my course assignments by that late of an hour. I'm not the type to still be doing homework by then. So explain to me how
coming home from college -> finish work -> have dinner -> Have some relaxation and fun online -> bed = Studies must really suck?
My studies are coming along quite nicely, thank you very much. And another thing,Spend this time studying you could become something instead of coming up with theories about something you have no control over… seriously...
wouldn't it make better sense if you worried about what your going to become in your life rather than worrying about what a random poster in a forum for a child's manga is going to become by taking an hour our two to post a fun, meaningless theory in a theory thread?
sigh
To each our own.
-
Just ignore him -_-
Personally, it'd be disappointing, to me, if that's how things ended up. Then again, if Oda DID do that, I'm sure he'd find a way to make it awesome and I'd love it. XD

this could also be in dumb predictions. but i think that usopp's "iover 8000 crewmembers saying is a reference tovegeta and nappa's ocer 8000 comment which was mistranslated into over 9000. :O

If anyone remembers Lola from the Thriller Bark arc.. Her mom is the female Yonkou, Big Ma. I can't remember if it happens in the manga but towards the end of the arc when everyone is safe Lola gives her mother's Vivre Card to Nami. It was said that her mom is an 'important/big name' pirate

ya but "Elmy" is a new world pirate captain and resembles lola alot and has a higher chance of being lola's mom. To be honest i hope the rest of the yonkou arent on the SHs side. Cuz they have had 2/4 yonkous on their side. And Big mom shud be like someone who only fights women >:D

Yep only leaves Kaido and black beard as enemies, but thats good enough. If luffy took out 3 of the 4 Yonkou that would instantly make him pirate king status.
-
Blackbeard is not a Yonkou as far as we know.

A young Mihawk did the impossible. Giving Rayleigh "at his best" his scar. That does not mean Mihawk won.

Well it is very possible, though lame, that rayleigh was once the worlds greatest swordsman, though there was probably someone between mihawk and rayleigh as i suspect shiliew will be between mihawk and zoro, it would make more sense plot wise if zoro achieved his dream in the strawhats final showdown versus blackbeard.

Where can I find this. Thanks.

I'm assuming he is after the time skip or atleast the closest to the status.

Ok here goes nothing.
Luffy's Gear 4 will be a technique that increase his brain activity by pumping blood into his head, turning him into a Insta-Genius for a limited amount of time.
The drawback will be that after it leaves him extremely disoriented after.
-
I wonder whether Luffy will develop a technique where he can actually produce rubber akin to Mr 3 and Magellan?
-

I don't think that's how Luffy's DF works. He is rubber but he can't produce it.
Mr. 3 can make wax but isn't made of wax and Magellan can make poison but isn't made of it. -
@S.C.:
Magellan didn't show much real combat skills besides the horn things. By all accounts, he just stands there and shoots streams of poison out at the enemy.
Whitebeard didn't show much real combat skills besides the bisento thing. By all accounts, he just stands there and punches the fabric-of-reality at the enemy.
See what I did there?
-
I know what he means though it's hard to place magellan, he's not STRONG but he's DANGEROUS I think would be the best way to put it. If you can counter his poison, he's fucked.
I think this is why it's not a good idea to talk about strength and power levels (over 9000!) in OnePiece. To me, most characters in OnePiece are gimmicky like this. While there are some that are quite versatile, most are specialized and good in certain situations while bad in others.
Examples include Luffy against Enel or Buggy against any bladed user. The advent of haki will definitely change the game (for better or for worse), but I really hope Oda limits its use so we can avoid head-on comparisons.

I sure hope not… I rather like idiot-Luffy!

Mr. 3 can make wax but isn't made of wax and Magellan can make poison but isn't made of it.What I suppose I was trying to get at is that it seems probable that since Luffy spent time working on his own, it would be reasonable to expect he would work on his DF so it boils down to how is it possible to develop being rubber any further?
I see your point about paramecia's being very different to the point where classifying them is based on not being a logia or a zoan, but perhaps the answer for how it might be developed lie here. That, perhaps, while he has exhausted the parameters of using his rubber body, he hasn't begun to develop a paramecia df outside the initial scope.
Of course, I can't really think about how it would work. Ie I imagine it might be a bit similar to Hina, but other than that it is a real struggle to imagine how producing rubber would be an advantage…
-
Was Magellan's fruit ever classified? I thought he was a logia? If magellan's body is poison its a logia, if hes covering himself in poison then paramecia.
-

paramecia, not logia.
-
paramecia, not logia.
Oda confirmed it was paramecia? So hes basically covering himself in poison each time he fights someone, interesting!
-

That is why I argue that he is among then best when it comes to using his fruit. Imagine how hard it would have been to produce different kinds of poison then mold the poisons to shape a hydra then control it in mid air

Luffy's gear 4 will allow him to create duplicate rubber clones that attached to each other by a thin rubber thread :D
