The only good thing about this chapter is that it spells out Aizen is indeed dying here. He's the Hougyoku's bitch now. For the first time in the entire manga we know that Aizen isn't the one in control.
Of course, this also makes the Hougyoku being the new villain even more likely. :wassat:

Honestly it just feels like the Hogyoku is going to be the new villain, sort of a fusion of the Shikon no Tama and the Tendou Jigoku…which also probably gives us an excuse for the next arc's villains (the stupid thing is going to escape to the Kings Realm and "evolve" Squad 0 as it tries to create a perfect being to ascend to it's true purpose now that it got the on-switch by Aizen...I really hope I'm wrong)

! Well, we knew this would happen. It's been the formula for a long time.
! HOWEVER, this is the first time that I've actually liked the design. The body reminds me of some kind of weird demonic clown. I'd prefer his wings to just be some tentacles rather than thick wings but the creepy eyes on them make them better.
! And as another said, we can more then most likely expect Ichigo to transform again. After all, he still has a hollow mask to pull out and it certainly wasn't the last time we were going to see that hollow form from against Ulquiorra again. -

I still can't get over how fucking awful this climax is. Both sides are fighting using powers we have no idea what are. Why is Ichigo so strong? Why is it good to fuse your sword and your arm? What IS Aizen even at this point? Nobody knows. Kubo just thinks it looks cool.
