Why do I feel like I'm the only one who somewhat tried to campaign for Ace? Gotta be honest, the Luffy campaigns actually had some effort put into them. excluding the people just hating on Ace of course. For some reason I'm getting depressed. Luckily, there's this to cheer me up.

I love Luffy…but i'm votin Ace...since I'm a huge fan of his and the fact he is dead.

You know what, i'll just say this.
Luffy is the kind of person I admire and always will since he's one of the first characters I could ever really connect to, personality wise anyway. He's fun, exciting and an all around well developed character that could easily stand againist alot of other shonen heroes. You could easily argue that Ace wasn't that well developed, espically since he was only seen using the Fire Fist attack ONCE in the entire story.
But then I do really think about it. Ace is the kind of person you can only really get after recent events. He's someone who was picked on simply because he was who he was. That's something you can't change, no matter how powerful or wealthy you become. But he made friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. Even before recent events, I always liked the laidback nature of the character and after them, the fact he is so laidback is pretty amazing once you consider everything.
So, as much as I could write entire essays on why Luffy is a great character, I voted for Ace. Let someone else win for a change. It's not he'll ever have another chance…

Luffy's one the greatest shonen manga characters ever created! And hard to believe, I actually relate to him completley :)
But I love Ace (a lot more than I use to last year's tournament), mostly because he reminds of MY older bro (who I look up to greatly)
In other words, this match kind of hits a little too close to home for me :cwy:

I like several characters in One Piece, but the most dear to me is Ace (before his death) especially from the time it was announced that he wasn't blood brother of Luffy, because he never was interested in that and always wanted with all his heart to his dear little brother, being he able to sacrifice for him. Give his life for another person is the greatest show of love.Moreover, even if he lost against Whitebeard, Blackbeard and Akainu (who were not faint), he behaved like a brave man, willing to come forward and not back away or ever, determined to continue their battle to the end , not to lose the honor and respect for its principles. So he showed that he had a big heart, which was very brave and it was a great pirate.
And for Luffy him brother was a Hero and a role model as important (or more) as Shanks
I like Luffy too, but I love Ace.
