It was so much fun reading the chapter while only having seen two pages in advance. Usually the temptation to look at raw pics is too much.
Chapter 591: "You Sure That's Alright?" Discussion
-
-
The next cover story will be Bepo's quest for a female bear.
-
I bet all of the actual training of Luffy will take place while we see what the Strawhats are doing.
-
Luffy's sadness seemed a bit more subdued this chapter, which is good since he's listening to the people who're there to help him.
Although he was "told" to eat food.
-
Lame point.
Logic is base on rules. One Piece world have rules that differs from reality, but they are still rules.
Using these rules and your mind, you can go by logic.Logic can't make any prediction, or it's better to say that logic is not enough to make a prediction "more true than another".
But in this case of the "Vivrecard argument".
My opinion is that all Vivrecard pointing towards the nails owner is a limitation. You can't just producre Vivrecard and distribute it to anybody because if stolen, your worst enemies could stalk you.
You can't "throw the biggest part" to stop the being "tracable". Like over-usage of Gear 2 is "killing Luffy".
Oda perfectly handles rules and limitations (and breaks, like double DFs). Else One Piece wouldn't be as it is.
as long as you keep your mind in the context of the inner laws of the manga you can use logic to determine the flow of the manga. like the "sabo living/death argument". through logic it was possible to infer the fact sabo would live despite some people being unable to comprehend it.
what makes manga's unpredictable is either when they break their own rules (i.e. plot holes) or they add new concepts/rules that may have existed prior but never talked about. (i.e. duval)
well written mangas how ever introduce new concepts within the bounds of existing concepts. sanji's poster made duval's existance entertaining and believable. Duval wasnt a spitting image of sanji, just enough of a rough look a like to connect him to sanji through the poster.
however, since oda did introduce sanji's poster with the face the possibilities of predicting the identity of duval prior to his unmasking are there, how ever people did not consider it a possibility.
for the reason of the double df, Oda has stated through BB that his power can absorb DF powers (making ace feel really weak in close combat) and shown he can release from his void anything he sucks in (i.e. ace's flames/buildings/ect). It has also been shown that DF's are less of a magical object and more of an energy within a fruit that can be scientifically comprehended, harnessed, and duplicated. (I.e. Spandams sword & PX's Kizaru's lasers). So within Oda's OP logic. The darkness can absorb anything including DF's into his void and then release what he wants from it. The energies of the earthquake fruit are stored within his void and he only releases the effects of the DF when used.
ALL things within OP can be comprehended through logic within the laws of OP. Oda has broken nothing! As he has shown time and again he calculates OP out years in advance and takes the needed amount of time to research/plan. Oda's sporadic breaks makes OP the plot hole free manga it is.
[EDIT – I had composed this in the spoiler thread when it was closed... i hate a wasted effort so i'll post it here.]

this is probably a really stupid querstion but what exactly did law mean on this page
http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/71384529/7
does he mean stormin meaning cause trouble or is he talking about dragon or is here something obviouse i'm missingI took it to refer to Dragon in a cagey way. Guess we'll see. If it is Dragon, then in my book, referring to him in tat familiar way makes it appear there's a connection between the two, and I called that some time ago. lol.

@AMS:
I bet all of the actual training of Luffy will take place while we see what the Strawhats are doing.
Probably short one shot flashbacks to Rayleigh's training lessons when Luffy actually uses some new powers.
-
Haha @ Hancock scolded Jimbei
-
@JERK:
You're retarded if you think the anime made it up rather then them asking Oda for things they should know before depicting any filler of a place.
didn't say they made it up, just said they were correct. Which from you and many others was an impossible act that no way did they get direction from oda and we were the biggest morons in the world for even considering it.
-
BTW this means Ussop will stay tall
-
Anyone know what was meant by Rayleigh leaving the vivre card to move around more freely or whatever?
It's so the other straw hats can still get to shaboady. If rayleigh took his vivre card with him then they would all go the wrong direction to shaboady
-
My favorite bubble so far. "Stromy Weather? This is the Calm Belt! You sunk in another ocean and swam all the way here!"
-
Luffy's bounty went up…and a lot. That's what I thought on the last panel with Chopper. I mean, why would he say "again" like that? I think that's the only explanation to Choper's reaction... :/ What do you guys think?
-
Notice Laboon on the cover!
-
Anyone know what was meant by Rayleigh leaving the vivre card to move around more freely or whatever?
Probably it was just a bad translation. Whenever we get a strange phrase from mangastream, it ends up being a bad translation. By weekend we should have more translations available.
-
BTW this means Ussop will stay tall
I think it became pretty obvious that Usopp won't be able to leave in his current pathetic state. He'll probably burn the fat and upgrade his stamina.
-
Sorry Robby, your "I'm not hungry" phase Luffy theory missed the mark.
I'm glad he's already back to himself again. And Hancock gets closer and closer to Luffy in terms of cluelessness. Such a cute couple.
-
This chapter is made of win.
Jinbei's face says it all at page 6.
I totally cracked for it and almost woke up my mom.
-
Probably short one shot flashbacks to Rayleigh's training lessons when Luffy actually uses some new powers.
I hope we see none of it and somebody else just gives the basics of haki in relation to Luffy being stronger with his attacks. Any new improvements should as always be explained and talked down upon by the villain in a fight.
-
I think it became pretty obvious that Usopp won't be able to leave in his current pathetic state. He'll probably burn the fat and upgrade his stamina.
I am not saying fat but i am saying tall.
-
I wonder if the story focus stays on Luffy and the strawhats will come to amazon lily to meet him there.
Or the story focus will go to the strawhats in sa and Luffy is the last one to come back with an awesome power up :) -
Nice chap, And nice to see my prediction of Rayleigh coming to AL come through.
Now what could Chopper have read in that newspaper???
Maybe he saw new bounties, and his was lowest again, lol. If so, maybe that's what he's saying "Why, again" about.
-
I think the newspaper news that had Chopper shocked was that Hancock lost her title and that, despite what Rayleigh thinks, the government believes she may be harboring Luffy…
Yes, there will be an attack on AL. Yes, the Strawhats will gather there. I've been saying this for 10 chapters now!
-
so did chopper see news of ace's death or the death and subsequent bounty boost we believe luffy will get after the war?
-
About the vivre card comment read this again ( if the translation is correct ofcourse)
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/489/17/The small papers clearly point towards the biggest part of the paper and not the person themselves
thats why Rayleigh left it at sa. -
I am not saying fat but i am saying tall.
What? He's big because he's fat right now
-
ok, i'm sure somebody already brought up this before but if the boa sisters know well rayleigh what's the meaning of this?
!
another mistake of oda? or maybe rayleigh doesn't possess king haki afterall? -
I think this was the best chapter since the war. I really want to know what Shakey's connection with AL is and Hancock, like if she just took care of them or is like a mother to them.
The page with fat ussop running full pelt at a giant sea hippo was really the icing on the cake for this chapter. -
Chopper says "Why again!" meaning something that has happened before, most likely it's either a bounty increase, or they know where he is. The mangastream spoiler shows that Ussop and Chopper already know Ace is dead, so it has to be something recent.
-

Yes maybe it saying they will open up an attack AL because witnesses seen her with luffy. WG is saying they will have a WAR with them:P enhance ''again''. And for some reason i think Shakky was a Queen of AL.
-
A-mazing chapter! Loved the Usopp wanting to be there for Luffy so bad. Also loved the Rayleigh bit! Knew that the anime was canon not filler - some people seem to have a thing against the anime. Obviously they talked to Oda before creating it - they were good. Only hope Sanji comes back to his womanising ways!

The page with fat ussop running full pelt at a giant sea hippo was really the icing on the cake for this chapter. The chapter makes it clear that Nyon "and her daugthers (the Boa sisters)" lived with Rayleigh and Shakky for a time in Sabaody.

Oh, adding to my last post. The "Not again" from Chopper? Buster Call.
-
Hey, maybe Chopper will get to AL first and then either learn some basic form of haki so he can control his awakened zoan form, or fly on the giant bird and get some of the other strawhats.
-
It's bizarre that Oda seems to be going two different ways with the Strawhats.
Chopper has escaped his island with ease, and a flying mount that'll let him go pretty much anywhere.
Meanwhile Usopp is stuck in the middle of a difficuilt situation with a bodily handicap, a situation that apparently no one has ever gotten out of before.
One move suggests they'll reunite soon, the other suggests they'll be separated for awhile yet.
-
Hancock was nice this chapter, especially when she talked to Jinbei and ignored Rayleigh
-
I think the newspaper news that had Chopper shocked was that Hancock lost her title and that, despite what Rayleigh thinks, the government believes she may be harboring Luffy…
The fact that he says not again though makes it seem like it wouldn't be that. Chopper wouldn't really know who Hancock is, so that wouldn't make as much sense.
-
Hey, maybe Chopper will get to AL first and then either learn some basic form of haki so he can control his awakened zoan form, or fly on the giant bird and get some of the other strawhats.
He can't find them. He can only find Rayleigh or Shakky.
-
The Hancock gimmick is getting really repetitive.
This is really what Hancock fans want from her ?
-
@JERK:
He can't find them. He can only find Rayleigh or Shakky.
Chopper finds fingernails from all the SH's in his medical bag, and makes vivre cards for them so he can fly around collecting them.
-

Yes, there will be an attack on AL. Yes, the Strawhats will gather there. I've been saying this for 10 chapters now!
and i still think you are wrong… even if marines know that Luffy is on AL they will not make this public by writing about it in the newspaper
-

Said the guy who wants a gimmicky fodder character of even less dimensions.
-
Thanks for the chapter:
A lot of juicy stuff this chapter, and that's not getting into the SHs reunion starting to form! (Usopp's part confused me but Chopper's was cute) The fact that Kuma actually knew he was sending Luffy to the amazons with Rayleigh's and Shakkie's advice was neat (and I liked Sandersonia's interaction with Rayleigh) and the part with Law knowing of the "Will of D" creeped me out.

Do you have to make everything personal ?
You're not much older than 12 or 13, right ?My post was addressed to Hancock supporters.
-
Oh, adding to my last post. The "Not again" from Chopper? Buster Call.
I think you are stretching way too far.

It could be that the crew reunite one by one.
With Law gone, it'd be nice to have Chopper come to AL to tend to Luffy for example.Although a simultaneous reunion would have more dramatic effect.
-
If all the strawhats do meet at Amazon Lily how will they move without the Sunny Go
-
Sea Serpents…... XD
-
Short timeskip, here we go.
