Not really a question, but more like a discovery. My girlfriend is on a trip to Europe, and is currently in Venice Italy. So to get my mind off her, I start reading One Piece during the Water Seven arc, and it just reminded me of her even more. But the funny thing I noticed was one of the bridges is an exact replica of the Rialto bridge, a monument I recently came across after googling Venice up.

This has probably been asked a lot but can someone set this straight for me. Has the last couple of episodes been filler? Has Oda contributed any ideas to them or is it just the animators interpretation of the cover stories?
Usually I consider anything that isn't the manga non-canon so what should I take these episodes as?

Everybody calls Blackbeard "Teach" when addressing his name.

Try to find a single time someone calls Whitebeard "Edward" or Blackbeard "Marshal". You will find one or another reference to "Newgate" or "Teach", but not the other way around.

In One Piece, names follow japanese convention. Surnames come first.

I can understand the man's plight though. Some names like Edward Newgate and Rob Lucci just seem more appropriate as "First/Last" rather than the typical japanese "Last/First" convention.

On another note.. I've been re-reading One Piece which is really cool, knowing what I know now about Luffy's past and such. But I have a funny little question. In chapter 19 Buggy decides not to eat a DF because then he wouldn't be able to get treasure on the sea bed since he couldn't swim..

My question… who taught Buggy it was possible to swim to the seabed, even without a DF? Haha, maybe in OP world since Sanji did it, but just saying.

At the end of each chapter, there is a small message in black on the last page. For example in the most recent chapter, it says: Bitter reality…

Are those put there by the scanlator or are they actually words from Oda? translated in that case of course

Has anyone seen an official color page of Sabo anywhere?

I'm thinking I'll make a Sabo figurine but I don't know what color to make his hair. It's obviously a light shade but all the colors have been done before. I keep imagining it as a light green but that would be reserved for Zoro so probably not.

Anyway if anyone knows or can link me to a pic please let me know. :happy:

About Redline, only Mariejoa and probably Raftel are known to be there, but what about the rest ? Till now there has been no sign of civilzation, or even vegetation in redline, it's just a big red cliff separating four seas.

Is there any special reason ?

I think obviously there's more on Red Line. The coastal regions in the Blues must have cities and towns.

The place where Crocus was was on the Red Line for instance.

I'm not so sure about kingdoms, but the topography would suggest that people could easily live there.
