So, what does that panel mean?
It looks like they are telling people to not worry and leave the firefighting and such to the royalty, when in reality the "firefighting" crew is actually the Bluejam pirates, who are shooting people and starting fires instead.

Yeah, being a pirate is more likely, and the guy look likes it. But that panel still seems so out of place, without building up or follow up to it.
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

Best way to start a chapter: Hina and Smoker being cool cats. And Hina is drunk…The uptight, serious marine, actually knows how to party.

I agree with Sea, this would have made me vote for her in the tourney!And the chapter, this flashback is really heating up to become one of my favs.
The moment I realized "burning the trash" was an euphemism for burning everyone alive, I stopped for a sec.Really, got something like a twisted "Soylent Green" moment out of it.
And even though this his supposed to be a Luffy flashback, this feels so much more like a Sabo one. His character gets fleshed out more and more through out the chapters and the whole dilemma seems to be more centered around him.
Then, when I was already satisfied to the fullest with the chapter, the goddamn Dragon himself makes an appearance.
Oda, you big beautiful son of a bitch, why do you have to make this so awesome?Although for a short second he trolled me with Iva's food at the end. Man, I was so close to calling Luffy's Mom, until I read the "babe".

mmm found it interesting Oda drew the wind blowing very strongly in nearly every panel after that "The wind sure is strong today!" panel… and then boom, Dragon.
Sure seems like he's obvious about pushing something there, always with the wind blowing hard when Dragon's around.

Oda truly is one of the greatest storytellers of our time. The story development is masterful. Why can't screenwriters in the States get this concept of story progression and resolution?

I've had a lot of problems finding RAWs these days. Links to them used to get posted here along with the translations. Is it possible for you benevolent souls who post these releases to include that on the first post if you come across it? Would be very grateful! A couple sites with RAWs have gone down lately, and others just aren't putting them up.Cheers!

There's plenty of great films and tv shows which can be credited to American screenwriters. We gotta history of it. If you're just indirectly complaining about Hollywood well they'd rather make a lot more money with a product of lesser quality. That growing movement has been a bane on media culture for quite some time now.

Well lets assume after this flashback Luffy NEVER sees Sabo again, and if he ever does see it again, he'll obviously call him his NEW brother. Imo, Oda is setting up Luffy with his NEW brother, Sabo. Once this flashback is over, I will not be surprised to see Sabo appear.

Couldn't Sabo reckognize a poster of his brother? The guy was being talked in newspaper and almost got into the Shichibukai! It's not like he was just a small fry.

Well probably because dragon told Sabo that Luffy is his son and at the end of this this fire ordeal, he might have asked him to come along. Sabo remembering the past scene where all three -sabo,luffy and ace- wanted to be captains of their own ships, left with Dragon. Probably because he would've realized that all three of them were to go separate ways-again referring to that scene where they all stated to be captains-.

Huh. Now that I think about it, I wonder what Garp is going to do about this whole ordeal. He seemed to like Sabo enough (as in, he beat him along with Luffy and Ace) and even if they are nobles I don't think he's just going to lie down and let them burn his grandsons. And then this shit with Dragon. Unless maybe he just never finds out :/

If Sabo grows his hair out the man saving robin in the center has a good chance of being Sabo grown up.
If Sabo in fact lives and is in the revolutionaries then Oda would Definently make him a character of happenstance on a path to run into Luffy while giving him a spot in the mini arcs.
As for the reason for this flash back. People assumed it was more blah blah about Luffy and ace after ace's death. But what this flash back is really doing is setting down the foundation for Luffy/Sabo relationship as well as background on why Sabo was in the revolutionaries all this time.
If Sabo was in fact the one saving Robin at Tequila Wolf then that is reason enough why he had missed the war due to distance of travel time and/or Dragons orders.
