    • RE: Ousama Ranking (Ranking of Kings)

      It started out great, then it became a bit weird. My favourite characters are Bojji, Kage, Despa, Desha and Hiling.
      The first opening wasn't great, but I loved the second one.

      ! That Miranjo-Bosse and Miranjo-Daida was too much for me. Not just the relationships, I can see the Miranjo Bosse connection, but the other one… Um... why? She is ruthless and selfish. The bizarre things when she found wives for Bosse, and wanting to kill both of them and their kids too, then she is engaged to the kid whose body used to be controlled by her love... I can't wrap my head around those. And she suddenly "changes" and her crimes are forgiven and forgotten. No-no-no. I don't mind characters having reasons to be bad or "evil", but how can their doings be washed away that quickly?

      I'm curious about the continuation though. 😄 I liked the last episode.

    • RE: Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband

      I just couldn't watch the whole first episode. 😕
      I watched the J-drama first, then read the manga and I hoped that the anime will bet good too, but I have yet to see a good anime on Netflix (sponsored or whatever they do). Better luck next time.
      But I really love the manga and the drama, I had several good laughs and got a bit emotional too.

    • RE: Chapter 973: The Kozuki Clan

      I don't think Hiyori was just a back-up plan, though I know that was told her. I think the other important part was that she remained and "suffered" with the people of Wano together just like a few scabbards.
      You see, this was brought up by Ashura Doji. If every scabbard and Hiyori and Momo went forward in time, would they still be considered to be one of the people who suffered there? The people would be like Ashura, not so keen on forgiving and not supporting someone, who almost without any hardship just turns up and says, "Hey, I'm gonna rule over Wano, help me defeat this other ruler". Of course, since Momo is a symbol at the moment, he has support. But as this chapter pointed out, he is not sure of his dream either. He could be travelling around the world first, like his father and then be a shogun, until then, Hiyori might take the lead. Or something like that.

    • RE: Chapter 968: Oden's Return

      Somehow I doubt that Franky hasn't read and/or memorized the plans for Pluton. With the right stuff, near the end of OP he might just build it.

      Aside from the crazy talk, I enjoyed this chapter alot. Roger's travels are known, Oden's too, all that is left are those few years before his death. I'm supporting the theory that not Orochi, but the witch is going to get killed, but, on the last page, that is the real Orochi for sure in my opinion. He wanted to say Lord Oden, but eventually referred to him as just Oden, which means he at least feels equal to him(if not above).
      How can 4-5 years go by with Kaido and Oden working in the shadows… that I cannot imagine yet. I let myself be surprised.

    • RE: Chapter 905: A Beautiful World

      I've really enjoyed reading this chapter, and I'm glad that we take a short break from the Strawhats. Not that I dislike them or anything, but I've always been a fan of the "what happens in OP's world" type of stories. It's great to see Shirahoshi and Garp too!

      I guess the Revolutionaries will try to make a statement about the Nobles themselves and maybe their aim is to drive a wedge between the kings and queens of the World Goverment and their leaders. They try to reach reasonable rulers, and if there is Cobra, Neptun, I'm sure there are others who might not be total idiots or silly like Sterry. Ugh SteRRy… I'm sure they have a trumpcard to sway the gathered people, so I'm not saying that Dragon will waltz up there, say that the WG leaders are bad and walk out, I'm almost positive that he has something to show to those people who at least will think about throwing over the real bad guys, the World Nobles.

      It was a great chapter. Sanji's tears caught me off guard and I almost teared up myself. Brooke is stll cool. I'm not really impressed with Jimbei. He is back… I can't care too much. But that doesn't mean I hate him or his entrance.

      @Smiley:

      Okay unless she has a split personality, her flashback with Lola now makes zero sense.

      Not neccesseraly. She does't want to marry Sanji and she wants more freedom from BigMom, so she can do whatever she wants. That's basically Lola. Only that Lola is nice and Pudding isn't, the motive is the same, their personalities is very different.

    • RE: Random News Article Discussion II

      @Nolus:

      I can agree with you more or less.

      What is really missing, in my opinion, is organisation and better leaders. They knew the immigrants are coming, and they had roughly known their numbers as well, they should have prepared for this situation. Because there are very kind hearted people here, but their effort are not well directed.
      This is a created chaos, the government feeds on people's fears and fuels them them even further. Before the immigrants came, the news already scared the shit out of everyone. One TV channel says poor kids and an immigrant saved a life and the other says they have stolen and did bad things. Needless to say the truth is very much in the middle, but just like the media, people are divided too and there is no one, we can look up to. Our very own politicians are dividing the country to rule it, each of them make me puke in their own special way. As the saying goes, the fish rots from its heads down. And it stinks real bad.
      One might say that the citizens should just do the right thing and the mass will rule, vote for a better party, better leader, but there is none you can really trust here. Everyone is only for themselves, and that's very hard to change and no one is willing to change this apperantely.

      About Jobbik, their success lies in nationalism, which was surpressed for too many years. Nationalism should not be a bad thing, but the way Jobbik and co, are representing it is just awful and bad.
      It should be about a bunch of people belonging to a group, belonging to a bigger home, then your little house, town or small state celebrating your uniqueness, showing the other people how wonderful your world is, while others could do the same and everyone should be glad that wow, we are different, yet the same and tolerate eachother.
      The problem lies with thinking your own culture is better than anyone else's (although secretly everyone thinks that) and it is forced onto people, who don't agree with it or just simply doesn't like it. Good for us, that the ancestors have made countries, so that most of the cultures have a home, where they can be, whatever they want to, but still tolerating if someone else is different.
      Our world, however, is turning ridiculous. On the one side, there are the extremes, who do not tolerate if you are any different than their ideal. On the other side you have those who wants everyone to accomodate to everyone and there you have the issues in the US, starting from Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays to not doing things because it is against their beliefs.
