Luffy's hypocrisy.
He goes around telling other people off for destroying other peoples' dreams, AND he goes around ruining other peoples' dreams (however evil and twisted the dream is, it's still a dream.)
Luffy's hypocrisy.

Did it ever accur to you that Luffy isn't indifferent to peoples' alignment?
I think people should be banned for discussing "death in One Piece" That argument is so trite and just plain annoying by now. Seriously, it's just fucking annoying.
I completely agree Perona!
no, seriously
I think the only real legit complaint I have outside of no one dying when they should and occasional pacing issues is the end of the Odz fight. Don't get me wrong, the team attack at the end was fine, but it really didn't sit well with me that the entire fight was showcasing the rest of the Straw Hats working together to bring down this giant beast, but in the end had to be bailed out by their captain who wiped the floor with Odz in five minutes. It just didn't sit well wit hme.
I guess maybe Oda had realized that the fight was already dragging on for too long and just decided to end it then and there.
You have to admit, Luffy had the 100 shadows handicap and he isn't really a team player anyway.
One Piece being a child comic..
That is that i think the story would have been better off if it were targeted at a older audience. "the main characters being less overpowered ,if they together had beaten 200 marines in enies lobby and with more trouble that part would have made more sense. Becase as it is the cp9 with their 8 persons gave the strawhats 10 times the trouble 2000 marines did. Makes you wonder why the world government didn't send the 10 000 marines out in the blues fighting weak pirates, that way they could do "something" at least. istead of just delaying untill the main battle force arrived
Also the deaths of good characters, the straw hats not killing their enemies is part of their believes. so thats fine. but travelling in the "pirate graveyard" without even loosing one friend, makes you wonder how in the world it got that name. Also the deaths of nameless characters makes it a bazillion times worse. If nobody died, i would accept it somewhat, but what i hate the most in modern media is how they can kill off hundreds of people like it doesn't matter but still everybody important get's close to death at the most.Like they are trying to give people the idea that they should only care about the ones they know(I mean, what other purpose does those other deaths fulfill?)
in order, i would at most like the nameless deaths to end.
then i would like some sad death of a friend to the straw hats occur.
and actuality, i like the fact that their enemies don't die."
this would especially make sense as Luffy was presented with stating how he was unafraid to die, in the real world that would have been admirable, but in One Piece, I'm more confused about what Coby really is afraid of.
Other then that, i would just like to see some more ship battles in a pirate manga :getlost:
but i really like the puns thou. especially the repetitive ones, like brooks.
Damn, some other negativity i guess would be about revealing names etc of DFs

Luffy using his own strength would have got pasted to the wall too.
VIVI. I cant stand her, So freakin annoying.
One of the reason why i love croc so much is because he Mind Rapes her. (very satisfying)
Someone Plz post a video or a image of her getting her ass kick by luffy, or croc
Outside of no one EVER dying, my one real complaint is the over reliance on Devil Fruits.
During the East Blue Saga, very few villains had DF powers. They relied on their skills (Kuro), weaponry (Krieg), or just their natural abilities (Arlong). But once the Baroque Works Saga hit, everyone and their mother had a DF power (this was especially bad in the Baroque Works story arcs, where Oda just started making every third person a Zoan user. Did Dalton REALLY need to be a DF user? Couldn't he just have been really really good with that spear?). Eventually it comes to the point where you see a new character and wonder not what he can do, but which fruit he ate (I was genuinely shocked when I found Kumadori's hair moves weren't from any DF abilities).
It's not that Oda has really executed it poorly or anything (aside from Dalton, who I still hold really shouldn't have had a DF. It was with him that it started to feel like just too much). I just feel like he's starting to fall back on simply giving everyone DF powers rather than giving them any special skills or anything like that. It would be like if we found out that Zoro and Sanji had been DF users all along rather than just being kickass fighters. Kinda cheapens it.
How the majority of major spoils in the show have to be related to luffy's genealogy…
How the majority of major spoils in the show have to be related to luffy's genealogy…
Ace isn't genetically related to Luffy.
I have a complaint.
The scans aren't fast enough. Other than that, it's ok.
It got negativy because fanboys of it.
Sanji.
Seriously I like the guy and all, but when he's around women or anything that relates to the female species and goes into to his hyper spazzes annoying mode sprouting fits of love, I wish he would just go die. Any other time, he's cool and badass.
Also the fact that no-one dies. Well no-one important anyways, the only deaths I can think of are Kuina, Gol D. Roger and Portgaz D. Rogue but that's even before the story starts.
Unrelated to the story itself, some the manga name translations in English (mainly just Zolo), but that's forever going to bug me, but I should just be happy we have an English version to read.
My complaint is that the majority of One Piece characters have Devil Fruit powers. I know that's the gimmick in OP, but why does every other character must have Devil Fruit Powers? Why can't some of them be just really skilled? Makes me glad that some characters like Zoro and Sanji exist. It seems that in almost every arc after the Grand Line, 3 or more fruits are introduced. What's more, some powers are used once and never seen again. That's my only problem. I can handle Sanji's love cook mode and no deaths, and other things.
On an unrelated note, why do a lot of people hate Vivi? She is one of my favorite female characters. I don't think of her as annoying.
@Zuu:
Sanji.

I love the Love Cook mode!
no major complaints really. Gotta accept the good and bad. (I cannot believe that there are people who don't like Sanji's Love cook mode. It's one of the series best running gags. I know the show has cool action and powers, but if you cannot appreciate the comedy, then you're missing out on like 50% of what One Piece has to offer.)
If there was ANYTHING in the series that bothered me. It would probably be how Oda handled Vivi. I know she's an intelligent, driven, dedicated to her country, and caring princess…. but damn do they shove that down our throats! Yah know, when we first meet her, she was actually a pretty interesting character. The way she first interacts with Nami is funny! But it seems the closer the crew gets to Alabasta, the worse she gets. When they finally get to Yuba... I just can't fucking stand her. She does have a couple good scenes afterwards though... only a few..

It just happens too often for my liking that I just find it rather annoying, at first yes, it was pretty lulzy, but now, really I just find it annoying.
But whatever, other than that, no further complaints.
Not that big of a deal, but my negativity since for a long time, is the whole Sanji doesn't fight with his hands deal, sure he kicks @$$ (literally) and taking names but when he use to do that spinning kick (can't remember the name, too lazy to look it up) he is on his hands, what if (what if, ok?) he hits a stray blade and cuts his hand a new one, or someone aims a bullet at his hands, then they are pretty much done, guess it's better now that he uses his flame kick instead of the chun li move.
As long as villains don't know how much he values his hands, he's moderately safe. But what really gets me, is that he should be wearing gloves for moves such as the spin kick. Better yet, padded armor gloves would be best because then the only way to injure his hands at all is to get them off.
Yes, the fact that nobody dies is a big one.
The thing I always thought was kind of silly was scenes where lets say Luffy would do a finishing move and the villain wont get out of the way.
Example:
Luffy: "See ya Buggy!"
Gomu Gomu Bazooka
Buggy: Aaah!
Move is still going
Buggy: Stop it nowwww!!!"
Move is still going…
Buggy: Aaaah!
*Move is still going..."
Buggy: Aaaah!
Come on...seriously he could have just stepped out of the damn way instead of screaming his ass off lol. They do this a few times I notice.
I remember being annoyed by Chopper during the Thriller Bark Arc, but I pretty much got over that.
I'm going to rant about how I don't understand the fandom.
Law and Kidd. Okay. They didn't do much, had rather random DFs, an ordinary shounen characters design, all that. Good. They became VERY popular in no time and still are. Pretty boys, fangirl meat material, I understand it.
Then there is Marco. He's far from being a pretty boy (see generic shounen characters-fangirl meat) or badass mid-age men type (see Croc and Smoker). Ace is related to shitload of people (like, GOLD ROGER, you know or Moda), but somehow only Whitebeard pirates are affected by Ace-fangirls love. Other character related to him get absolutely none. Marco was always too popular for nothing, but after his powers were shown in the manga the fandom went nuts. I will not be surprised if he gets into TOP 10 during next character popularity poll. If you go to Pixiv or Tegaki-J nowadays, 50% of art will be Marco, 30% Mugiwara and 20% everyhing else (mostly Supernovas and Hancock).
Now, along WB allies, a pirate named Doma was introduced. Yeah, he haven't done anything yet, but hey! It's just a slightly older version of Law! He even had the pet animal (which is always considered OH_SO_CUTE by everybody). The momen I saw him my logic rang and told me he's probably going to be that another everybody's fave. But I haven't seen a single art with him. Not a single picture. There were few of McGuy and other allies, but not a single Doma. And belive me, I've seen lots.
I just don't understand how it all works. I just… don't. No-no, I'm not envy or anything, I just want to get how it all goes around, but I can't.

Welcome to the wonderful world of anime, where characters don't have time to move out of the way of the attack, but do have the time to explicitly state to the audience that they don't have time to move out of the way of the attack.
Haha, totally awesome.
Reveal more Wazamono swords Oda…please
**my opinion, not fact, speculation nor spoiler...
-I think that Shiryu is going to defeat mihawk, so that Zoro
would have to search the world for Shiryu "of the rain" and kill him…well, he is now in BB crew.
While reading Thriller Bark in English yesterday, another gripe came to me. What's up with the sudden influx of low humor? You know, the belching, farting, perversion, etc.? One Piece went eleven years without having to include toliet humor, it doesn't need to start now.

Perversion has always been in One Piece to some degree… The fanservice suddenly got mere protruding, however.
I can't see what's that extreme in the toilet humor... It's just one of Brook's running gags, not that many other running gags are more "mature". And if you think of Usopp's fart, it's not the first time people fart in the series.
Coup de Boo is a gigantic fart. Hotori and Kotori's weapon was farts put into Dials. Thriller Bark isn't really anything special compared to that.

Yeah, what does he think this is? A Shakespeare play?
the fact that a skelaton is implied to have bowel movements, eats like a pig, and has a sexual appetite is a wonderful joke in itself, all the more hilarious that he titles himself as a "gentleman"
but this is the negativity thread soooooo….
Perona is a goddamn waste and about as interesting as a tire
I was not a fan of the long stale part that was Skypeia. It just felt..fillerish to me.
I also HATED Vivi, she would not stop whining about her country and when she was on the tower yelling "stop fighting."…god that pissed me off.
I'm also not liking this flashback we have right now. I know why it's there, but I want to know what the F is happening in the present, not the past where we already know the outcome.
The flash back is for character developement, good for Luffy but it's too late for Ace. My hate is with not killing off characters then BAMN two (useful) die in the same arc, I mean wtf is up with that, yea I understand the "Oh save Ace already" complaints because everyone knew he was going to live but Oda could of let us be right for once.
Also Vivi can shaddup about her country, we get it you need help but they didn't even get paid, come one princess pay up!
Luffy must have what? 20 years left to live now, stop shortening his life.
Sanji your foots on fire dude.
Nami metal conducts electricity.
Robin STOP BEING USELESS.
Thats all I think

I agree with this, but I think it was far worse in the anime, which I like watched up solely up until before episode 448.
Thankfully I know that the Mr. 3 and Buggy part with the fart jokes was filler, but I know that Magellan was not… I was shaking my head the whole time.
Brook farting, like once, would be okay, maybe... but only because he's a skeleton... And Luffy asking Brook and Caimie if they poop was actually quite funny. To me it wasn't really toilet humor, it was Luffy asking the most ridiculous thing for general humor related to his personality. And really I can't see anything wrong with that. In fact the randomness of Luffy asking that to Brook was quite hilarious.
Otherwise, I will definitely have something negative to say in this topic if:
! Bon Clay is still alive
Only major thing that I found a chore to not only watch but read was the whole Skypeia arc, it was boring, slow, and kinda pointless even in the Manga
Only thing that made it bearable was Luffy's song in the anime and, of course, the greatness that is Enel
kinda pointless even in the Manga
Robin finding Roger's poneglyph wasn't. The coverstory that came of it wasn't. The fact that it launched Blackbeard's story wasn't.
Enel is definately great.
Skypiea had some rough patches though. Just about all the innocent characters were insufferable.
And as much as I do like Enel, his characteristics, his powers, and his motivation… I do wish some of his victims were actually dead. Like the people he forced to make the maxim... they definately could have been left as "unknowns" like all the marine ships that sink in this series

About Law and Kidd . What kind of anoyed me was the fight before the auction house , with them and Luffy .
You have people like Capone , Urouge , or Apoo , or even Drake or Hawkins if need be , and a tage tight with Luffy and any of the above , especialy the first two , would have been one helluva awesome . But instead the most typical group imaginable is made to fight , the three most shounen esque and normal looking characters the one time we actualy get a captain fight .
I ask you why it was necessary ?
@No:
I ask you why it was necessary ?
Because Apoo, Drake, Urouge-san, Killer, and Basil were all getting wasted by Kizaru or weren't at the auction house. Jewelry and Capone were out fighting the fodder Marines.
It was more a question "why set it up like this ?" as I know what happened there .
Not like the specific fights had any major reveals that couldn't have come later during the pacifista fights , as they stil did .
Also , lol at the last page stil being in "No one dies in One Piece" territory :D
@No:
I ask you why it was necessary ?
Because 108+198+222+249=777.:ninja: It was probably done just to hype up future fight scenes with the Strawhats and the rest of the Supernovae.
Skypiea kicks immense ass, what the heck is people's problem.
Here's something I hate.
People who get so caught up with WHATS NAXT ARE THEY AT TREASURE ISLAND YET??? and fucking forget to enjoy the journey itself.
I don't like how (this also applies to most animes in general) the villains are always SOOOO complacent about themselves.
I also get annoyed about how Franky actually managed to turn himself into a cyborg without killing himself.
Im not a fan of the repetitive nature of one piece (travel, fight, rest, travel, fight, rest ect)
Im annoyed that crocodile didn't die.
Brook also annoys me (but he's kick ass when he's serious)
Im annoyed that the concept (and huge plot hole IMO) of sea stone weaponry has not been explained.
There is no goddamn seastone plothole.

Most of the villains are made of nature and are invincible for the most part. You'd be complacent too if every conventional weapon thrown at you does nothing.
You're more annoyed at him turning himself into a cyborg and not him being run over by a train?
The last three to five arcs sure as hell haven't been repetitive.
Like Oda would kill off the original example of Evil is Cool in his manga.
Is it the fart jokes or how crazy awesome it would be if he existed in real life?
Seastone: Special stone that's hard as a diamond and just as rare. It radiates power similar to the sea and nulls Devil Fruit powers. If there's any plot hole in that, Vegapunk will explain it when we get to him.
I guess… Shank's crew not fighting in the WB war. I really wanted to see his crew strength.
I guess… Shank's crew not fighting in the WB war. I really wanted to see his crew strength.
I know what you mean, but we're sure to see it sometime! I don't want Oda to show too much stuff too quickly, it'll leave more for later. I'd rather see the crew's strength at a time where we havn't seen a yonkou's crew fight in a while, it'll make it more special xD
Luffy doing Gear Second.
