Not going to dip my toes into another Oda gender discussion. To everyone reading it, don't internalize. Oda has his preferences and sense of beauty, and he would have been divorced by his wife and left by his 2 daughters already if he was really the person everyone is painting him as.

Just took a look at past chapter discussion between 2005 and 2007.

Many of them barely reached 30 pages. The community is way more diverse and active now.

I definitely remember racing through chapter discussions like hotcakes though, and a bunch of other threads like the multi anime threads and the like.

Also, artist don't use templates, at least not the good kind. The manga artist iteratively builds everyting from scratch, even panel layout. From CrudePencil to Pencil-Pen-Ink-Color (when it aplies).

That's why Oda always forgets characters scars and shit, If he had a Zoro guide, it would be a very amateur mistake to not notice the scar.

I assumed he was using one because he's practically swamped with drawings every week. I know Oda can draw with muscle memory or something similar to it but I'm assuming he has a list of eye styles somewhere in his office. That's what I call a template. If Oda only knew how to draw one pair of eyes then I wouldn't be here talking about it, but he does have like 2 to 3 different ones. Nami's, Robin's, and the newer ones (Hancock's, Perona's). I'm not saying something like Photoshop no, but maybe like a written diagram.

I'd say he's just as important to the ecosystem as anyone else with a star (and many without, who give this place some character). But either way, we clearly diverge on this particular issue, which isn't even that emotionally charged (I wouldn't even presume to lump it with the more apparent sexism issues). Just seems like a straightforward fact. More variety in male design that practically any other manga. Little to no variety in female design. Just kind of odd.

I'm telling you this now, I have no issue on Oda drawing the same faces. I assume he's using a template. I just called out MK because he said Porsche and Conis looked similar to another OP woman, and he emotionally raged like the Hulk. Oh well, I guess it's why he's in that position in the forums. I still recall triple digit members and guests at that time, not unlike now where it just peaks like say, 100.
