I don't see what creates such hatred against one character (same with Vivi, because I'm not American).
A vote for Hancock is a vote for a world without hatred. :)
Well, you see, overly whiny and overly bitchy characters tend to attract hatred.

A hero who is less stronger than her? She should with her experience know that luffy is a reckless rookie. Imagine she had to fight WB or Ace or garp.
And about luffy being a hero would she also fall in love with WB or ace
Did WB or Ace punch a tenryubiito. Then your answer is no. She didn't fall for him just becuase he's strong. That helped but she fell for him since he stood up to something that ruined her childhood and younger years. Which is the tenryubiito.

I'm just curious, what do you mean about Americans hating Vivi? I'm an American and I think she is great. I'm not trying to spark an argument or anything, I'm legitimately curious. Is this something that happened on the boards in ages long past?
Is Herr Sebbe hatin' on America?! 'Cause if so, I may have to drive over his house in a hummer with an American flag paintjob, crash it into his living room, and shoot him with a gun that was made in America while quoting Bruce Willis from Die Hard.
Also, can we please match Hancock up against an epic character so she can stop waltzing through this thing? Hancock in round 4?! That dog won't hunt, monsignor…

A good chunk of American OP fans cannot stand her compassion and concern for her country. 'Tis a shame, really. She DOES get rather emotional, and isn't that bad of a character, but most everybody on Arlong Park loves to put her down.
I want Nami vs Hancock next round to make all the fanservice voter's heads explode.
Well, you see, overly whiny and overly bitchy characters tend to attract hatred.
I would take this version of a most beautiful woman in the world who appears bitchy at 1st but the author has atleast tried to show another true side for, rather than a boring most beautiful woman in the world, who is a saint that everyone loves and who seems like her feet don't touch the ground when she walks.
see yah later Augur

Whoa! Whoa! That's not what I said! I just said that a lot of Americans have something against Vivi, and when browsing this forum, you'll see what I mean.
Chill, dude.

A character does not need to be bitchy in order to be interesting and to avoid being a Mary Sue. That's a mistake a lot of people make.

My point is that just by having the title as most beautiful woman in the world her character is sort of limited to 1 of 4 choices a). Mary Sue loved by all b). a middle ground character who's neither a bitch nor a saint but simply exists c). a complete unredeemable bitch and d). someone who appears as a bitch but really isn't or the inverse of this. Either way it goes d is pretty much the best choice with b). being the most unfitting for the title considering that it's unlikely that someone who is called the most beautiful woman in the world would have a middle ground personality. With d). atleast offering the possibility for character depth to explain why she feels its necessary to put up a facade although it can be cliché it beats the alternatives, besides most things have been done before anyway.
Gotta vote for a fellow sniper
I voted Augur but now makes me think why people vote for a kitten kicker and a spoiler royal B**CH

I can see similarities with robin here. And robin didn't fell in love with luffy. And to be fair luffy has done more for robin and nami compared to hancock.
It occurs to me that there seem to be more people complaining about how
A) they don't like Hancock
B) Van Augur doesn't stand a chancethan there are actual people who seem to like Hancock.
So, vote for the guy; what can it hurt?
On another note, this is pretty much the exact same match Van Augur had in the First Round when it comes down to it.
Alvida - holds her looks in high esteem, is considered attractive by everybody but Luffy apparently.
Hancock - holds her looks in high esteem, is considered attractive by everybody but Luffy apparently.
Hancock - kicks around dumb animals.
Alvida - kicked Coby around.
Alvida - dark hair and curvaceous figure.
Hancock - dark hair and curvaceous figure.
Alvida - first female pirate in the series.
Hancock - first female Shichibukai.
Subtract their Devil Fruit and what's the difference?
They are all selfish women?
Woah, even Coby? Dang, Coby's been holding out on us!
Hancock and Alvida are selfish women, not Coby.
Hancock does not need to do anything. The guy is already a statue.
Besides, I like Hancock's personality. I would go deeper, but I can't really waste time in matches anymore.
Sadly, I like Augur,
But I like Hancock a bit more …
Hancock's just like Megan Fox - Overrated ... but vote fo her
(or Baby-Merry will return to reap your souls)
Had to vote Hancock, Van Augur never really did anything. Maybe he'll be awesome one day, but now..
Hancock's just like Megan Fox - Overrated … but vote fo her

thats right
mhh i think i go with augur cause i don`t enjoy hancock that much and she will anyways win against this guy, who will have his great time in near future
Ugh, don't really care for either of them, but Augur's the lesser to the two evils. At least his power from what we've seen doesn't have a ridiculous gimp to it, and his personality isn't as annoying, since he's barely got one.
why people vote for a kitten kicker and a spoiler royal B**CH
Hancock provides us with spoilers? ANd here I always thought it was the likes of Battle Franky and Brennen. Well, I'm definatley voting for her then!
It's really annoying with all the Hancock Haters around. All they do is bitch and moan about her. Give it up already.
But yea vote Hancock just cause this Hancock says so!
Vote Boa, she will Haki-Tise you

YOU RIGHT!!! :O
Well, this way I can feel now justice will be made since MAH queen lost to this guy.
I voted auger, cause he's a sniper and i'm waiting for his epic battle with ussop to one day commence.
Man, for seeing so many Hancock haters, she sure still is getting a lot of votes. I guess people can forgive her easily because… SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. lolz. There are so many things that make her an interesting character, but I love how some of those who can't decide end up voting for her anyway just because they are weak to feminine beauty. Wow. (no sarcasam, really.. I swear.)
Ah, that's making me sound too negative for her. My point should be she is the ONLY female Shichibukai, so that has to mean something, right? I mean, she's up there with the likes of Jimebi and Mihawk (and they all really have the same sort of mind towards the WG; as in they don't really care for it...). Plus Croc as well I should point out, even though he is no LONGER a warlord, he was while SHE was one -- he was just the first one to get put down by Luffy.. Although TECHNICALLY Hancock has already been defeated by Luffy as well.. with LOOVE. (lulz again). I'm sorry, but that fact just makes me want to vote for her even more... its only the second OP femme character that's gone through that so far, and the only one that's really made an impact on me. I forget about Alvida alot, cause she used to be so friggin ugly to match that 'tude of hers. And she hit Coby, which wasn't cool.
Anyway I'm rambling 'cause my cool campaign gif still won't load ><#. Just vote for Boa, or you'll get turned to stone like those pathetic marines. X3
What I wonder is how more women haven't fallen for the heroic side of Luffy, now granted these things were done with his crew but he goes out of his way to escort Vivi's ass, beats up the guy who is destroying her country, nearly dies 3 times in the process and he gets an "arigatou" and a banquet as thanks.
Then there's Nami and Arlong, he chases her ass down after she betrayed him and the others, he then later stops her while she's despairing and performing open arm surgery on herself, gives her his treasure to take care of while he risks his life to beat the guy who has ruined her life to this point, he beats him and destroys the room that was filled with painful memories for her… and what's he get? A navigator, friend and a high five. Frankly it's about time someone felt some love for his heroic side even if it is in a small dose, atleast Hancock ISN'T fawning over him cuz he's some bishie pretty boy, she fell in love with him when she could have anyone she wants.
So thank you Oda sensei for finally giving the story someone who appreciates Luffy for all the reasons the fans do, cuz otherwise our little rubberman could die a v, and that would be a bad way to go out even if you're PK.
Vivi gave Luffy a banquet instead of falling in love with him because that is what Luffy wanted. He basically said "After I beat him up, I want to eat a lot." Instead of going and falling in love with him Vivi actually just gave him what he wanted.
Nami also did what Luffy wanted. Luffy didn't need her love, he needed her navigation skills. So she became navigator.
The reason nobody falls in love with Luffy is because he doesn't care about it anyway, and even if they do Luffy doesn't care.
all this Hancock mumbling-haters..your act just like Momonga and you also can't do anything to prevent 180 ppl statued by her…...hahaha..
btw, what's so great about no fun guy?!...

I think all he said in the manga…. 5 sentences perhaps? I'm not sure, i think 5 is still pretty much.
So I should vote for Augur because he had collagen injections in his face?
I lol'd :'D Anyway! I haven't been around that much today, but after reading most of the posts, all I could see is:
Hancock haters bitchin' and Hancock fans bitchin' about Hancock haters bitchin', with the rare fun campaigning here and there (yeah I am looking at you Flux ;3)
So, how about we all quit bitchin' and bring in the campaigns? Lets make what is left of this thread, fun and not bitchy :D
The pic above is of the Augur Buzzard is also known as the African Red-Tailed Hawk. lol it ish winking! Vote for it!
To one of the first posts that complained Hancock was so bland and filled with clichés or female stereotypes.. lol? That's the whole point, Oda is exaggerating these stereotypes for comedy effect.
For example, Luffy saying 'arigato' (thx) and her hearing 'aisteru' (I love you) and fainting from sheer happiness.. if you can't see the comedy in that…
And let's face it, she fell in love with Luffy, our story's hero! How can you not vote for her :)
Augur shot Ace in the crotch. +1 vote for that alone.
I'm sorry but good or bad, Auger's the one with the damn gun. What's Boa got? Her good looks? It would be the easiest head shot for Auger :D.
AUGER FTW!!
Seriously, vote Augur. He knows where you live.

And Boa will probally want to kick it. -calls PETA on Boa-

Love Bullet > Ordinary Bullet you know….

Love Bullet > Ordinary Bullet you know….
Only because ordinary bullet's tend to miss. This fact becomes null when talking about Van Augur though, because he never misses.
Vote for the sniper! Or that 'stache will end up on your face…>;3
Some fodder guy had the stones to shoot Kizaru in the side of the head, too. Doesn't mean that I'd vote for him. I'm waiting to be persuaded, though.
The difference is that rather than freak out over Logia immunity like the fodder guy, Van Augur reacted like this:
This was enough to cement him as my favourite BB crewmember.
But yeah, he's had very little screentime, so there's no real surprise at Hancock winning. I still think a character we've only seen briefly but made a good impression, trumps one that's had more spotlight and rank yet has been a downward spiral of disappointments.
Oh well, VOTE AUGUR
I think Auger is a pretty cool guy, eh shoots down innocent birds and doesn't afraid of anything.
But Hancock gets my vote.
Both great characters but i voted for Van Auger because he has a cool hat and glasses
Vote for the boobs
Making an auger compaign video of sorts, I only pray I can get it done before the next round starts XD

I actually don't mind the first, but the latter are unbearable when considering the fact that Big Power females ARE SEVERELY LACKING IN ONE PIECE. We are finally introduced to one and all her multiple personalities fluctuate between huge female stereotypes, two of which are extremely disempowering.
Her main/big attack is completely dependant on being a seductress. There's something original. Despite having similarly seductive traits, at least Alvida and Califa's powers had more to them and weren't exclusively based on sex appeal.
The other attack we've seen consists of her throwing hearts… Strange that it's always girls or gay guys that conveniently end up with powers like these.
The token girl of the Shichibukai with lowest bounty and the lamest powers revealed thus far. Even Crocodile, an opponent defeated waaaay back in Alabasta outclasses her in this department. Oda and Kishi - NOT SO DIFFERENT AFTER ALL
The sympathy card. Ugh. It WOULD be the token female of the group who goes all teary and angsty. Even when the group is supposed to be comprised of baddasses, the emotional inclinations/weakness of women prevail.
It's also VERY cheap plot/cop-out device that's used to excuse the hero from having to seriously fight a girl.
(regarding #5) So her experience made her come to the conclusion that ALL men are evil. (Because surely no men were made into slaves/raped by sickos. Nor was it a Fishman MAN that saved her or anything.) But look! The first guy that comes along showing kindness and zOMG. Time to go stupid with love!
(regarding #6) "Love Sickness" eh? And you will die if you do not obey this man you love? How about that, you're a slave all over again! Only this time it's less sympathetic, more pathetic. This is fanservice of a most disgusting calibre: One of the most desired women in the world, knocked off her high horse, stripped of dignity and becoming an obedient housewife whose very LIFE depends on her willingness to please her man. It's every fanboy's fantasy come true.
Re-occurring gags with kicking puppies and seals and cute things around. Even her shtick is based around gender cliches.
The second most beautiful woman in the world... does not live up to the hype. At all. She not only has the generic "OP girl" mold, but there are even a few who outdo her in the looks department. For example Camie, who has to be the most adorable little thing I've seen Oda produce to date and who's crush on Hatchan is actually endearing without making her pathetic. Hancock's design isn't terrible, it's just bland.
So in sum: with heart-heart powers, a preoccupation with beauty and trying to get into the lead guy's pants, Oda has taken all the terrible cliches of Magical Girl anime and made it into Boa Hancock. And this is the only high-ranking female revealed so far? A disappointment in every way imagineable._
Yeah, I really agree with this. I don't really dislike her as a character, at least not yet. I'm waiting to see her in an actual fight first. This guy really pinpointed all the things that have annoyed me about her so far.
Vote for the boobs
You know it's against the rules to mention the female anatomy in the tournament, right? Or has that rule been lifted?
Wow, my 9-point platform has some staying power and carried over! Even though Hancock will win, at least all that typing wasn't for nothing.
@jackvance:

So you're saying that the first and thus far only Big Power female to grace the series was purposely made out to be a ridiculous joke about women? They aren't meant to be taken seriously I suppose.
And I honestly didn't find the whole "fawning over an oblivious Luffy" routine that funny. It just made me feel embarrassed for Hancock. And myself for having to read that. (I get more laughs out of Duval's one-note gag.) I suppose Luffy-fangirls/boys would like it though - someone to relate to.
And let's face it, she fell in love with Luffy, our story's hero! How can you not vote for her :)
Umm because the circumstances under which it occured (Love Sickness) basically sends the message: "OBEY YOUR MAN OR DIE"
Wtf? It's not just that it's disappointing. It's offensive. How can anyone find this 'cute'?
And being in love with Luffy isn't exactly a good reason to like a character. Didn't make me like Alvida any more or less. And for a paltry side character, she was at least allowed to maintain her dignity.
