Luffy is gay.
I´d say Luffy is asexual, if it wasn´t for that extreme food-fetish he displays in almost every chapter XD (Yeah this fetish really exists)

A very small amount of people care about hair in that fashion.
Those who do secretly wish Big Foot was real and…...thats all you need to know.
first the handjob thing was made with him while unconcient so it doesnt count
maybe just seeing is not enough for him, at happiness punch scene it was pretty much like a seducing pose, so if hancock or some other girl try to seduce him he will fall
see he is a pervert in closet, i cracked it out =)

you know, there is a GIGANTIC list on wikipedia about fetishes and half of the entrys scare the living shit out of me, for example:
"Voraphelia: sexual attraction to eating others or the idea of being eaten by others; usually in one piece" <
I bet Oda has a hilarious explanation to this in his next SBS, lol.
Fuck, I hope so.
soo he is only hot for Nami?
or he just likes women with short hair
he likes 'em redheads
luffy is just too innocent …not gay...gay people are not innocent. they go through extreme sexual attraction towards women first then some trauma occurs and satan takes over.
Strangely, I am completely satisfied with how Oda did this. I […]. And she is still presumably powerful.
I totally agree that Oda put all the building blocks in place for Hancock's change of character. However, I would have preferred for her to remain someone who was traumatized from her past (like Crocodile or Moria) and had lost touch with morality. I think this would have also kept her consistent with the other Shichibukai. Why should the only female be different? Of course, I know this begs the question of how else could the situation be diffused. Well, I'm not a writer, and that's why I put my trust in Oda. I'm not upset at what's happened, just a bit disappointed.
Now that I've said that, it makes me wonder. After the arabasta arc, I always had the impression that all the Shichibukai went through some form of hardship and that they reached a peak in their progress throughout the GL, and this is why they agreed to work for the WG.
So far, I'm thinking it's almost true.
Crocodile, Gecko Moria, and now Boa Hancock all fit this description.
Currently unknown are Kuma, Doflamingo, Jinbei and Mihawk.
I've left out BB from this list because he has an agenda.
But 3 out of 7 is a big number on this type of scale, and also given what we just learned about the previous leader of the Pirates of the Sun (Tiger Fisher), I'd say there's a large possibility Jinbei may have been a slave too.
@Brave:

I haven't done the research to know if you're being sarcastic or not, but it not, aren't there some sort of forum rules against such explicit bigotry?
And the idea that there's some sort of explanation for why Nami turns Luffy on (and not others) seems kind of unnecessary. It's not as if there's some deep dark secret behind that.
so this means BB is an idiot for trying to became shishibukai and crocodile and moria were just losing their time to
Oh okay, I just thought Croc abandon the whole King of Pirates thing and focused on world domination.

For all we know, he might think that Nami's nipples remind him of meat logs and finds that attractive.

I dunno about that. If Jimbei was a slave, he'd have the mark, and the Tenryuubito would assume he was one of theirs, and order the World Government to hand 'im over.
Ad1:We thought that THRICE already:
*After Post E.Lobby
*After Thriller Barl
*During Sabaody (I kinda miss "Shabondy"-I actualy prefered that to the new one,even if its a real referenced word)So who nows how many years were gonna have to wait.Just like with Jimbei.
Yeah, that's why I didn't say "Coming up next" or anything, I said "at some point in the future" meaning we will EVENTUALLY go through FMI. Unless Oda throws us a real curve-ball and skips it altogether, what a sucker punch that would be. I'm not gonna pretend to know how it'll all play out though, I think we're all in the same boat here. And I liked Shabondy too, Sabaody seems really weird when I try to pronounce it, doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Well, like I said, this is an assumption. But we know the original creater of the pirates of the sun was this Tiger Fisher guy. We know that Arlong was under Jinbei at some point and that the original Pirates of the Sun were disbanded and split up into separate groups. So, I think we can assume that all Fishmen respected Tiger Fisher (Jinbei included), and Jinbei probably continued to weild the symbol of the sun as Hachi, Arlong, and Kuroobi all had this symbol. So, there has to be some connection between Tiger Fisher and Jinbei IMO.
Is it necessarily that Jinbei was a slave? maybe not… but this was just the assumption I made.
ooh. just thought of something else. it's not really important plotwise- just a bit of symbolism. Since the tenryuubito are "heavenly dragons" (tenryuu), the significance of the tattoo is that the slaves are underneath the feet (hoofs) of the nobles.
This was probably obvious to many of you, but I hadn't seen it mentioned in this thread.
Luffy is a pedophile… 'nuff said!
i think one of hancock sisters could join
and im almost 100% that Nyon was on Roger`s crew
btw since luffy's actions are in all the newspapers do you think that he will be a celebrity on fishman island? the fishmen above all people probably hate the tenryubito the most so they will probably love luffy once they know he is on the island. if luffy goes back to shabondy and destroys the slaves shops and beats the crap out of all the tenryubito then they will probably love him even more.

lololololol that one sister rly let herself go
Boooooh yahhhh - Mari was one hot hottie (I think she´s sexier than Boa xD )
The chapter was cool,especially Luffy being disappointed because there was no food behind the curtains - just naked Boa…... :D
Can´t wait for the next chapter ^^
@ smurfx : That´s why the Mugiwara will be probably very welcomed at FMI (imo).
And I liked Shabondy too, Sabaody seems really weird when I try to pronounce it, doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.
If I remember right, it's supposed to be pronounced Shabondy though it's spelled Sabaody because Sabaody is the Portuguese spelling. It roughly translates to soap bubble. I could be wrong though.
I think Hancock is slightly disappointed that Luffy never shows any reaction to her. Maybe next time she calls him into her room, she'll cover her naked body with meat, just to finally sway him into perverseness.

Is that it? I really have no idea, I always figured it was one of those things where it got translated differently once or twice and everybody just kinda picked which one they liked better.

When the Straw Hats first arrived on Shabondy, everyone translated int this way because of the katakana. <–-- But, a few chapters in, we found out a few chapters later (499) that it was spelled Sabaody because of some sign that was shown.

This post is where I got the assumption. I'm almost sure it's right considering it fits the style of the island. So, spell it Sabaody but pronounce it Shabondy.
Well, the story is finally going along, we'll get back to normal, and this is proof that Luffy doesn't always have to beat a Shichibukai into a bloody pulp.

Luffy does not agree with your sense of what's beautiful and what's not.

Incredibly so. lol
Who thinks Hachi has a chance of joining?

When you pronounce it,its sounds KINDA silly,but Sabaody is just alien to me (using the word in the original sense,meaning "foreign").

Ah,"stating-the-obvious-itis" strikes AGAIN!
ANd not me.
god damnit, I love one piece! it's epic every single week. No other manga can even come close.
Who thinks Hachi has a chance of joining?
Considering he's given up his life of piracy to fulfill his dream of opening a takoyaki restaurant, I'm inclined to say "Not I"
YOu know you dont have much faith in yerself if your lives Olympus is making food for strangeres.

SOOO
if there were FOOD + NAKED BOA = LUFFY HEART SHAPED EYES
Damn why did Oda had to forgot the food
So according to Grandma Nyon, or what ever the old ladies name is, Luffy punched Carlos 2 days ago. Sooo, that means Luffy was only sent flying for 2 days, not 1 or 3?
@dirt:

Even if Jimbei wasn't a slave (which I think he was), he would still have the symbol of the Sunny Pirates.
He is a fishman and I'm sure that's enough for the Tenryuubito to hate him, former slave or not, but he's a Schichibukai and it would be foolish of them to make an enemy out of him since he's on their side (WG).
Uhm,didnt we had two days stated when IT happened?
@LongFist:
So according to Grandma Nyon, or what ever the old ladies name is, Luffy punched Carlos 2 days ago. Sooo, that means Luffy was only sent flying for 2 days, not 1 or 3?
My guess is he flew for a day and then a day passed between when he landed on the island and when he woke up behind bars.
The three sisters were captured by slave traders off their Kuja ship…what happened to the other pirates? And was the empress at the time Nyon? Why were they travelling without her...hmm
Even in the bathtub scene, luffy's face is covered by the dialogue.
Check the next page. He has nosebleed.
Interesting chapter. I really like how now Shabondy and Amazon Lily are now tied to Fishmen and the Tenryuubito, making this one big Fishman Island or maybe a Tenryuubito saga.
I also love Luffy totally not caring about Hancock being naked.

Nyon's the former, former, former empress, so I doubt if she were Empress at that time.
Well,it was stated she took them back home six years from then-so its possible.
SO what happened with the Former Empress?
She was there because she had already abandoned her country at the time. The former Empress is the one who pardoned Nyon after she returned to the island.
You dont understand.
They was liberated YEARS after they was captured.The person asked if Nyon was Empress then.
And then I asked what happened to the Former Empress,thats all.
I like the story going on here, but I can't help but feel that Hancock's change of heart was far too immediate. She kicks a kitten and throws an old lady out the window and suddenly we just forgive her because she used to be a slave? I don't buy it.
Glad it's over though, WHERE IS MY MERMAN ISLANDS EGGMAN, we're 8 chapters overdue!
I'm tempted to join the Fisher-Tiger-Is-Still-Alive bandwagon, but I actually have another stronger feeling that he's going to be related to some future character's backstory.
yes, I'm still mad at her for kicking the kitten!
I'm curious too. It seems that the lifespan of an empress is not very long…...
Gear second may cause impotence.
You dont understand.
They were liberated YEARS after they was captured.The person asked if Nyon was Empress then.
And then I asked what happened to the Former Empress,thats all.
Nyon was the former, former, former empress; that means there was an empress after her, an empress after that and then Hancock. The former Empress (the one before Hancock) was the one who pardoned Nyon for abandoning her country after she returned. She returned with the Boa sisters after they had been freed from slavery. She was there because she had abandoned the island already. The Boa sisters were slaves for 4 years. If Nyon were Empress when the Boa sisters got kidnapped, then the former, former empress only had a rule of a maximum of 4 years. Since that's a rather short period of time, I'm inclined to believe that Gloriosa had left Amazon Lily long before the kidnapping incident and that the former, former (or even the former) empress was in charge at the time.
The Former Empress probably just died or retired. Since she hasn't even been given a name, she probably dosn't have much importance in the story beyond pardoning Gloriosa.
Even before getting a translation, I knew that Hancock would be the only Shichibukai who Luffy would be on good terms with. I'm more than surprised at that.
Eh i read the one on onemanga and it says that Luffy was on shabody 2 days. But Kuma abilities was supposed to make a person fly 3 days 3 night right. So then what Sentomaru said wasnt accurate right?
@123:

and the newspaper can't be 1 day old, because … ?
@vlad:
and the newspaper can't be 1 day old, because … ?
So you believe that Nyon just read "two days ago" off the newspaper and didn't think to say three instead, even though she knew the paper was from last night.
Edit: Looking again, it says "the other day", which usually means two days ago, so the paper is actually from right after the incident.
It's been 3 days not 2 and definitely not 1. Sento said it back on SA, if he was right about what happens to them then he should be right about how long even if he said it was a rumor especially since it was all true so far. I don't care how many days were shown when Luffy was in the sky or what ppl think from what's happened so far, It's been 2 days since what happened on SA and don't be surprised if a day or 2 more passes before Luffy leaves the island…...........
^what?
i dont get time travel ;_;
i think this happened
ok first it was afternoon when luffy got blown
a full day passes while on air then he landed
then here comes the hard part cause we dont know if it was night or day when he ate the mushrooms
probably night cause he spend some time running and then ate a pig, then the next day he is found by margaret, he is treated and wake up in afternoon 2 days after being blown
here it is
So Handcock and her sisters were slaves. Only Luffy could think the slave mark and sun mark are the same. It's interesting that slaves would be fed devil friut. That is a rather stupid move. Luffy helped Handcock become less bitchy and has a ride off the island. So other then haveing to deal with Momonga, we should be done with this arc. I really want to see what happened to the rest of the crew now. I wonder if Kuma planned on Luffy helping Hancock like this and what his reasons are for doing this.
