I wonder how the Merry'll escape. I know that it is a caravel, and therefore highll maurvable, but they'll need more than that.

When I read the chapter it made me think of the Merry doing some Han Solo style manuveres between those giant ships.

It may be too close without the battleships firing upon one another and the battleships end up blocking each other off (Not that it's stopped them from sinking a whole ship to get Luffy!).

Either that or Franky removes his speedo for "Fra ~~~~~~ nky Propellor!!"

There's nothing about a "small" hole in stephen's scripts. Just that there's a "hole".

I wonder why translators add stuff like that. i took it for granted because i assumed even a bad translator would know if it says small or not but i don't know anything about japanese, so whatever…

Actually, if you look REALLY closely at Robin in that panel, you can see that she has her arms crossed, like she does when she uses her powers. I'd assume so she'd be identifiable from the rest.

I'm not sure if this was brought up (I jumped from page 8 to here, page 12, using 40 posts per page) but I thought it was interesting that, at least at first, the only ones who could hear Merry were Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper, aka the comedy trio.

Also, on the subject of the vice-admiral strength, that old woman at the Shichibukai meeting, Vice Admiral Tsura I believe, was, well, an old woman. Since she was labled as an "expert tactition" as opposed to a "zombie killer maiden" or something, I don't think she's that skilled at fighting by herself. This shows that you don't have to be super strong to get a high rank. Heck, I doubt Sengoku is all that strong too (the goat is the true powerhouse and the reason he got his rank).

the only one I don't agree is Luffy's bounty…... so I added another 100mil to it.....

Foxy's was 32,000,000
Bellamy's was 55,000,000
Buggy's is 15,000,000 (Unless it's raised since we last saw him)

Roshio the Exceutioner's was… 40 million, I think?
Sarquiss' bounty was 25 million (?)

Ah, but we're forgetting higher bounties from further down, like Crocodile (81,000,000), Rocksta (94,000,000), Bartholomew (296,000,000), Dorry and Brogy (100,000,000 each), and Donflamingo (340,000,000).
So the average is more like 90,000,000 or so.

but oh how it bothers me that the totaly awesome Vice-admirals just keep standing at the sidelines looking fairly indiffrent to all thats going on and just doing nothing i want them to jump ashore and start kicking some ass damnit,

Some people seem to forget that Going Merry (that is, its spirit manifested as the Klabautermann) has already spoken to Usopp before. Someone already provided a link to the manga chapter a few pages back. Usopp mentions it to Franky just before the CP9 enter Franky's hideout.

Also think about the way that Iceburg talks. Very straight faced and unemotional. The plea from the ship is anything but that. Combine that with the looks on the crew's faces and it's pretty clear that it's Merry calling out to them.

The average bounty in Grand Line is between 35,000,000-40,000,000 because most of the pirates we've seen bounties of are of monsterous status (like Shichibukai). Buggy's was huge for East Blue, but like Foxy he's pretty low on the Grand Line scale. Roshio, Sarquiss, Shoujo, Masira, and Mizazuki all have bounties around thirty or forty million berry, with Bellamy (a DF user) having a much higher (and upper Grand Line) bounty than any of them. Mr.3 had no bounty, he just defeated a guy with a 42,000,000 bounty on his head.

Re the fictitious wanted poster, I'd say Luffy's bounty post-Enies Lobby would be more like 170,000,000. Not so close to Zoro's, anyways. Although it's hilarious how Zoro's bounty is exactly two times Sanji's.

The characters specifically say that they hear a voice, at least in the Japanese version, I haven't read anybody's translations so I dunno if they specify it.

It's definitely a voice, but it seems the Mugiwaras are hearing it in their heads.

Yes, that's what I meant, sorry; it's clear the Strawhats are hearing an actual voice, if only in their heads, not just having a spontaneous feeling that they ought to look down.

I think no one fixed it, it never got destroyed, well technically Usopp was the last one to fix it after Franky tore some off. But yeah. I imagine there escape will be interesting. Though I do think the Merry is having it's last hurrah, or atleast thats what I'd prefer to keeping it as is. Though I hope the disembodied ship voice doesn't still around for long.

I was thinking about this the other day. I remember Franky ripping off the aft curly bit on the Left (port?) side. And Usopp trying to patch it back on.
I didn't see that damage but I may have missed it.

Oh and sorry if this has already been pointed out.
