Good episode and its was a nice Human Centipede pardoy.
South Park

I'm so happy about… what happened in the last ten seconds of the episode, to not be spoiler-ish.
-
Brilliant episode! The human centipede thing was great, but what was really good is the joke about reading terms.
Does anyone here honestly read the terms every time they appear?
Also,
! Cartman getting smited by God was hilarious.
-
I'm watching the latest episode right now, it's very disgusting to say the least. But I'm still interested to see what's going to happen next. I don't really know what Matt and Trey are trying to say with this episode, maybe that people don't read? Sadly that is actually a very true statement.

As someone who deals with the public, I can attest to this statement. It's a cold, hard fact.
-
I take it, this season will again make blatant references to current pop culture its focus in each episode, meh. Even though the new episode was pretty good, I'd rather really want them to stop this show, since they obviously run out of proper plot ideas.

South park is one the fantastic show that employs a lot of good facts in it to enjoy .

there saying a couple things
one yes, no one reads terms and conditions and basically a company could say "give me your first child" and you would agree
two, that no matter what shit apple says, people will eat it up like its the best thing ever -

They admitted that no show should run past 100 episodes before they even hit 100, because no premise could sustain itself that long without wearing thin or resorting to oddball gimmicks.
They're past 200 now.
And they also had the "Simpsons did it" episode. They're perfectly well aware of the "new idea" pool, and the show is still really sharp most of the time. If drawing upon current events is what keeps them going, then hey, current events it will be. And they've been doing current event heavy content since pretty much the start of the series, so its a bit weird to call them on it now.
-
Cartman in best buy was pretty good.
-
It's funny, cause the best buy's Apple section here matches what the Geniuses look like exactly, which I understand was the point.
I expect they'll have another Justin Bieber episode, but with Rebecca Black. There's no way they'd pass that up.
-
I loved that episode…
It was weird, though.
My favorite part was Eric sucking up to him mom in the car after Best Buy. -
I loved Liane in this episode. Just remembering what she was like way back in season one … well, keep it up, Liane!
Unfortunately I study Law and therefore couldn't enjoy the terms and conditions thing as much. All I saw was goddamn clauses all the time. Still, it was funny, of course :D
-
I thought this episode was awesome. Of course, the Human Centipede satire was so gross, and thanks to Tosh.0 for mentioning this Human Centipede movie, otherwise, I'd have completely missed the reference.
To those complaining that South Park is doing too much satire, well, that's what some people like. It's hard to come up with original ideas all the time for every episode, and every couple episodes, Matt and Trey do come up with something new, and it's great. I love the format they've been using these last few seasons. But too each his own.
Also, agreed that the last 10 seconds of the ep were just so damn satisfying.
-
So does apple really have these resident geniuses? Also the japanese guys voice just cracks me up, is that Trey who's doing it?
-
Just finished watching it…
As if Human Centipede could been funnier... oh Matt and Trey, don't EVER change.
-
Great episode. But yeesh, poor Kyle.
Incidentally, I'm actually gonna try and get a new computer some time in the next few months, so I'm debating whether I wanna get a Mac or another PC.
-
wowsers, i can't believe there is actually a movie about human centipede. pretty sure if i was in that centipede position, i would be like well fuck this, i'm going to pull away, twist, wahtever.
no way i would remain like that
-
You forget that you'd be hurting yourself AND the other person attached to you… so essentially both of you would fight to get out of it.
Which actually makes for a good movie.
Maybe for the sequel or the third part (yes, it's an intended trilogy) we'll see that >:V?
-
Surprised by the number of people who never heard of the Human Centipede.
-
Which is odd considering the thread activity here when the movie was released :x
-
…How in the hell are they going to make a trilogy about a throwaway premise like tha--oh fuck it.
I just loved how the episode basically compared modern technology to the premise of the human centipede, which is good, because at first it seemed like the joke the episode was built around was "people don't read the terms and conditions when they click 'agree'," which is funny, but doesn't merit an entire episode of South Park dedicated to it.
-
I thought that was the funniest gag in the episode, you'd picture a big entity like Apple actually taking advantage of that kind of impatience, but Jobs was always looked so pissed when it happened.
"NO NO NO WE STILL CAN'T GET IT TO READ!"
-
I just thought it seemed like an odd thing to spend an episode satirizing.
-

i wonder what matt and trey are thinking after the speech tonight.
-
There's no way they don't rework this into their episode somehow. They've even got 4 days to do it!
-
The next episode has been announced at SouthParkStudios.com:

BOOK OF MORMON NEWS
An original Broadway cast recording is expected to be released by Ghostlight Records. It will be available for download in digital outlets on May 17, 2011, prior to an official release in stores on June 7, 2011.
I'm never going to make it to broadway to see it, so… this is good news.

Dammit, looks like we're gonna have to wait until next week to get the Bin Laden episode.
-
Dammit, looks like we're gonna have to wait until next week to get the Bin Laden episode.
Nah, I'm sure they'll incorporate it into the plot they already had. They did a last minute change when Sadam was caught in an episode that was otherwise about Canada, and during the 2000 Florida elections in an episode that was otherwise about terminator trapperkeeper, and several other occassions. They literally make the show in 7 days every time anyway, so having 4 days of notice on this means the episode will probably go in an insane direction about halfway through, or near the end.
Unless they feel like doing a full blown episode about him again, but they did their looney tunes send up a decade ago and "killed" him then, so…
-
Didn't they get the Sadam being caught reference in before some News Stations got the news he was caught?
-
I don't know if Matt and Trey will really do anything with this, as they did kill bin Laden off last season, and there is some semblance of continuity in the South Park universe.
Personally, I want to see them do something with Trump.
-

They also killed him 10 years ago right after 9/11.
And they've killed Sadaam a couple times as well… before his actual death.
And there's always shenanigans in Hell.
-
I like that Germans take a major role in the next episode.
By that it will be one of the best in the entire season. -

Oh my god.
Edit: Link fixed.
-
loool. I love how they have to add, "These aren't the controversial Mohammed episodes!"
-
Thats kind of hilarious. "No, these are just the normal offensive Southpark episodes. They aren't the reeeally offensive ones!"
-
A story about Germany? Awesome. Best episode ever!
Nah, probably not. But still pretty cool.
Osama next week then? I still think it would be really fast, although Matt and Trey have proven to make good episodes in a very short time.
-

Osama will probably be in THIS week's episode. They change stuff to match big news all the time, and they make their episodes in 7 days EVERY TIME. 4 day lead is pretty good for them. Expect a big random Osama related twist in the third act, or possibly even the last thirty seconds.
Hell, they had an episode the night after presidential elections that heavily featured not only who won and lost, but large chunks of their actual speeches… though they probably ran with the assumption that he was going to and had most of the work done in advance.
-
South Park did it first folks.Notice how strangely prophetic it is, its like Matt and Trey could see into the future.
This vid actually matches the details of his killing in real life.

Via facebook:
The Book of Mormon on Broadway has been nominated for 14 TONY AWARDS including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Score, Best Actor-Josh Gad, Best Actor-Andrew Rannells, Best Featured Actor- Rory O'Malley, Best Featured Actress- Nikki M James, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Sound Design, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations and Best Direction!
I squealed with so much delight.
-
I want to see that show so bad. But not going to New York for it.
Well they're screwed for Best actor if their two leads are against each other, they'll split their votes. But "Best Musical" and "Best Score" are the most important.
It'd be nice if they won some musical awards after Blame Canada got snubbed for a song out of Tarzan.
-
oh, time to get my pen ready to bitch.
making fun of germans. i'm mostly german, how dare they. come on germans, lets unite and get them to ban this episode.
lol. i just don't get when people get upset about ccomedy. i've seen comedy and heard jokes that has made fun of about every fiber of my being in some way or another. whethers its my culture, religion, look, hair, something i did at one time, clothing, music, shows i watch, ect you name it. i can't think of anything that has not been made fun of in what some coudl say an insulting way.
but do i bitch and moan, no i would be laughing and do laugh.

i'd like to see a muslin get roasted
Why do you wanna see cotton fabric roasted?
Is that a turn-on for you or something? -
It's the secret to the success of South Park. You can only make fun of people if you make fun of EVERYBODY. Then nobody can claim that you're playing favorites or being racist of prejudiced in any way.
-
That's the same thing that hurts Family Guy at the end of the day. Even though they tend to hurt the side they support more than help it.
-
Hrm. Considering the previews are going on about Germans not having a sense of humor, and the timing… I wonder if on tonight's episode, Germans will be used as a stand-in for the Muslims who threatened to kill Matt and Trey over the Mohammed jokes and not intended to depict actual Germans. The same way Canadians filled in for the WGA and Super Special Awesome Fun Club stood in for Scientologists...
