when did it come on?stupind question
South Park

-
You can watch it for free on the creators' site now.
-
I got an idea for where they may do for the season premiere, and it involves Transformers 3.
-
New episodes of South Park start October 5th at it's usual time. Let's see if they continue were the mid-season finale left off….
-
I'm pretty darn annoyed. They announced season 14 on DVD to be released in the UK. With Bonus Episode 'The Coon' which is good. But the synopsis:
All 12 episodes!
Wait. 12? Yup. Looks like UK is getting screwed out of 200 and 201. I decided to import from America instead since 90% of Blu-Rays are region Free.
And of course Series 14 is one of the few that isn't.

Do you have a blu-ray player in your computer? I know a workaround that uses PowerDVD that lets you change the region as many times as you want (I have a few R2s and it works great).

I've played imported Blu-ray discs on my PS3 before.

Only on the PS3.
And I checked already. Apparently people have imported the Season 14 blu-ray and it dont work on their PS3s so :/ Even checking online says its not Region Free like most other Blu-Rays (annoying that all of the other South Park ones are Region Free)

this confuses me.
i have the thirteenth season DVD, and "The Coon" is on it.
why would they include it twice? -

I think it's in case people aint seen it when they buy 14. Most likely filling up space on the DVD where 200 and 201 should be.
-
That's confusing. How come the UK release won't have episodes 200 and 201?
-
Because of the controversy, the Mohammad episodes never aired at all in some countries. (Part 2 only aired once, anywhere.) Even on the american dvds, its only the censored version.
You know, fear that a crazy Muslim will go and blow up innocent people. Since that was threatened.
This is why the entire religion can't get any respect post 9/11. Couple crazy psychos ruin it for a billion peaceful practitioners of the the religion.
-
Don't you just love it when terrorism wins?
-
I've also heard that it's in part also thanks to the Terrorist known as Tom Cruise threatening to sue them too. Of course which would make the whole ep all the more hilarious.
-
Today's shirt on Riptapparel is Terrance and Phillip farting….with portals!
Remember, you can only get this within the next 20 hours of this post!
Also, new season in a few days.
-
A preview of the next ep.
Judging from the synopsis it seems they are continuing from where they elft off, which is cool maybe they might take this series in a new direction with Stan gone and have like a season long arc of Stan coming back, though its very plausible everyting from the mid-season finale will be resolved in this episode.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
-
Assburgers.
This is so incredibly retarded.
-
Well. Its still Matt and Trey blatantly saying they need a change of pace.
And yet it goes back to the status quo at the end?
I'm confused.
-
Oh God, Stan. .
-
I … I think I'm okay with this.
Yeah.
-
Well, that was interesting. The Assburgers and Matrix spoof was pretty funny.
Hmm, but perhaps this episode was a commentary on how long-running series refuse to change anything despite becoming stale and repetitive (Simpsons, anyone?)
-

I think, also, that they are just going to go with it because the viewers won't accept change even if they will. Also, isn't this the last season anyway?
-
Very cool episode, totally get what Trey Parker and Matt Stone were doing with this ep.
The ending was supposed to be the final gut wrenching punchline that pokes fun of long running animated comedy shows never changing, or evolving like Simpsons, or Family Guy.
They have been some changes for the two respective shows, but overall they still maintain the status quo. South Park itself is really no different.Stan is the outlet for the audience, a kind of reflection for the audience's feelings so they can sympathized with, when they watch the intentionally rushed anticlimactic ending . Stan IS the audience.
That's the point of the ending. They are making fun of the already known ''everything will be the same'' cliche with a twist: Insert the audience(represented by Stan) disappointment. They are INTENTIONALLY trying to get you hyped for a new direction, like they are INTENTIONALLY making you disappointed for the same ol' thing …for fun. .
They were conning the audience, and they did it so well.
Excellent episode.

They never said it was. South Park still has a lot of blood pumping into its heart, it ain't on life support yet.
-
@Nia:
I … I think I'm okay with this.
Yeah.
same.
I laughed more than i thought i would, mostly towards the end. I'm not really sure if they're saying they're tired of the same formula or that they don't think they could change the formula or w/e and i'm not going to give it much thought since things go back to normal anyway which makes the whole thing seem like a troll so w/e. South Park is going to be South Park for the next couple years or so and that's fine with me.
-
Hilarious episode. A parody of all the TV shows that stick to the same tired old formula. The ending was so funny.
-
Also, isn't this the last season anyway?
It's the last season on their current contract, no word yet if they're going to renew yet for another couple of years or not. We might only have five episodes left, we might still have shows until 2020.
But with these last two episodes, they're clearly tired and want to move onto other things. (I would have accepted the previous one as a series finale, easily.) And if stuff like Book of Mormon is going to be the result of them taking a break, I would not argue the point.
-
Lol at end,i guess stan will have drinking problem.
-
I could barely breathe this episode
best one in a LONG time

Actually, it got renewed through 2013 awhile ago:

Ah, thats good I suppose. At the time of the break, and their "we're sick of this shit" cliffhanger, they hadn't.
But I dunno. I kind of want to see what they'll do when they only have five episodes left. (tho this is only a 2 year renewal instead of a 3 year this time.)
Whenever that day comes, I assume their final episode will be something completely not-finale like, like Kenny staring into the camera for 22 minutes and blinking ocassionally.
-
That they just now used the Matrix as a refernce..wow, seeing what they have done so far already and this was just now used.
Stan being an alcoholic was the only solution to that whole dilemma..and i freaking love it.
Rly a great episode and like many other said already i would have loved this episode as the final episode of this(maybe last) season. -
Anyone got a link to watch/download it? My usual way of getting it doesn't have it for some reason
-
Thank you Bill for that analysis of the episode. I got most of it but didn't really see what happened or why it happened in the last 3 minutes with everything turning back to normal, until I read your post.
Ridiculously good, I love it when writers put their own thoughts into the episode, subtly or not.
-

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Coming off that finale, you kinda knew that the next episode was going to be about things going back to the status quo and it was. This happens so many times with ANY show coming off a "game-changing" finale because shows that have been on for awhile can't and dont change the thing that's been working for them for so long (wether they are right or wrong). I'm just glad that they acknowledged it like they did in this episode.
Also really excited for that behind the scenes thing on south park this Sunday! Should be really interesting.
-
Guess they weren't going to go down the venture brothers route then.
Oh well t'was an okay episode i guess.

I'l still upset Hank cut his hair back to the way it was and has gone back to his old outfit. It was a great change for him.

The South Park documentary was really interesting.

Yeah it was. I thought it was great. However, it sucks to see the hell they put themselves through to get the episodes out.
-
It comes on later where I live, so excited to watch.

Second this. Due to a lack of having DVR, I will watch this and then the replay of the Season Finale of Breaking Bad, having already gotten my fix of Boardwalk Empire .
-
I never knew Bill Hader was a writer for South Park.

@Nex:

They're the ones that have decided a six day schedule the week before the episode goes to air is what they want to do. They could easily work on the episodes at a much more leisurely pace 3 months ahead of time.
They think they work best at that breakneck pace, and that the final result wouldn't be much better with a 7th day or second week put into it, (not to mention they couldnt be as timely on current events) so… they only put themselves through what they the choose to.
And as they said, it was a natural evolution of the process. At some point they did an episode in 2 weeks, then in 10 days, and now they've got it down to 6. That'll happen when you have the same guys working out a system for 15 years.
If it means anything, after working their asses off for two months, they then take a four month vacation. Twice a year.
-
Next episode is called " The Last of the Meheecans" and involves Cartman joining the border patrol.
-
Oh NO.
This should be good.
-
This post is deleted!
-
I hope there's a Machete parody somewhere in there.
-
-
Okay, that episode was pretty damn funny. And Butters was just awesome.
Randy yelling Darth Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" was random, but hilarious.
-
This was a great episode. Wonder if Bill O'Reilly watched this one?
