I'm still not sure what you mean when you say full magic.

For a proud mutant, Jennifer Lawrence sure does spend being not-blue a lot. And looks like Striker managed to get his hands on Logan anyway.
I hope this movie is good. It's certainly bigger, but mass destruction (hear that, Michael Bay) is really no longer a wow-factor.

No one really watches action films for mass destruction (or explosions) though. And BvS didn't need harsh reviews or shaky box office returns
(due to something else) to show that.

Megan Fox!!! And explosions!!!

Action loving adults, curious fans who aren't reviled by deviations from the source material, Micheal Bay fans, People who hate the films and Micheal Bay but go to see the newest movie to complain (again) about how Bay is crapping on their childhoods.
That's my guess anyway.
Not to take anything away from the Xmen talk but…
Nathan Fillion in Guardians 2 as Simon Williams aka Wonderman.
Remember, DoFP rebooted everything. Including both Wolverine movies.
Including the second one.
Two months after it came out.
I just thought Hugh Jackman had already done with playing Wolverine.
Yeah, he said so.. maybe that's the last one?
There's going to be another Wolverine movie - which he said will be his last time playing the character. Set in the future, presumably.
A Wolverine, from another timeline, in the body of another Wolverine, interacting with people who know him as another version of Wolverine, interacting with Charles - supposedly - who's vaguely known both Wolverines.
Good lord.
Why do they need to forcefully make Mystique the center of the whole x men movie franchise again?:ninja:
Especially now with this final trailer it seems like Lawrence is just mailing it in, judging from the line deliveries. Ugh, I am tired of her in this franchise.
Chinese, no. Asian, yes. Sometimes you have to take what you can get. And Kingsley is an amazing actor.
It's not that the actor didn't do a good job, I mean he's a great actor.
It's the fact that there's what, 2? 3? Asian character in all of MCU films. Yet all the "prominent" Asian roles, the few that there are, are white-washed. And that goes for all movies in general, especially ones based on comics and manga.
And please don't say "you gooks got 3 minor characters or so so STFU" or I'm going to maul people. :getlost:
Lion King being a good movie doesn't make it not-ripoff. (I would say the same about Atlantis but it actually wasn't a good movie)
I'm quite tired of hearing apologetic excuses for the fifth time. Or is it sixth.
I'm sure AKIRA, it ever gets out of development hell, will be exactly the same.
And folks will come out in droves defending it.

Stop being such an SJW. Don't you understand that Marvel loses business in China if they acknowledge the opression and genocide of Tibet?
"YOU have a METAL ARM?!?!? That's awesome dude!"

Jokes aside, honestly, Mandarin being Chinese probably wouldn't have mattered as much if there were more Chinese characters to begin with, lol.

Halfway through I started counting all the generic lines they gave her to say.
"Forget everything you thought you knew"
"This will be like nothing you've ever done before"
"Never give up, never surrender"
I have a handy maul ready to maul next to my bed just in case
Most people just settle for a ball-point hammer. But you go the extra mile.
Since we're on the subject i do wonder how one would go about whitewashing a guy like sunfire?

He hails from San Francisco where Mt Fuji lies in the back and they eat sushi shaped burgers.
Actually I have a question on that, exactly who has the rights to Sunfire?
He's basically a X-men character as well as an Avenger. Is it shared like the Maximoff twins?
I have a Maul too. Darth?
He hails from San Francisco where Mt Fuji lies in the back and they eat sushi shaped burgers.
And since he's a fierce nationalist he'd basically be Trump with superpowers then.

It probably falls to the X-men. But i can't imagine people are knocking each other down in order to get at that character.

He only became an Avenger recently and only for a very short while, so no.
YOU have a METAL ARM?! That's awesome dude!!
Oh man I need this movie NOW!!!
37 positive on Rotten tomatoes, 1 negative. And the 1 negative is a new reviewer with literally 2 months of reviews under his belt and only like 6 movies in there that has so far disagreed with almost everything. He also didn't like Agent Carter

He's almost certainly classed as an X-man. QUicksilver and Scarlet Witch spent most of their early history in the Avengers, decades worth, and they were part of like, the second team.
If the loophole were as easy as "put them on the avengers to get the rights" then WOlverine and Spiderman would have been in the movies already with no fuss. (And Beast who has had a pretty lengthy Avengers tenure as well).
It probably comes down to pure issue count or something. "If they were part of the roster for 200 issues or 15 years prior to the deal, they can be shared" or something like that.
Hey, how does it feel waiting for 10 days up there while it is only 2 days down here?
Seriously pissed that us, Canucks have to wait till next week.
I like spoilers… bring it on internet.
Hey, how does it feel waiting for 10 days up there while it is only 2 days down here?
Personally, it's one bloody week so I will be fine. Sure it's stupid that this happens, but Europe and other places have gotten screwed over with things so much worse than here in the States (looking at you Atlus). So in the end, enjoy the movie and I look forward to talking about it with people next week

Oh god, don't mention Akira. That's like jinxing it to come back.
And I understand what you're saying. I haven't forgiven Marvel for casting Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, nor will I EVER get over Scarlet Johansson being cast as Major Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell.

Off the top of my head exageration without checking.
I didn't see it until it was on DVD and that wasn't until late November.
They still undid it almost instantly. Most franchises take at least a decade before they decide to overwrite the old. And they obviously started filming the X-Men movie almost immediately after Wolverine was done.

Am I the only one excited for Doctor Strange? I don't read Marvel Comics, but the trailer was quite mind-blowing.
Also, there's One Punch Woman.
Excited yes, although I need to see a real full trailer first. Wouldn't call it mind blowing though, cause it's nothing that special.

I'm excited for it. I know very little about him so it's nice to get a stand alone movie. And to see how he fits into the MCU.
I'm excited to see how they incorporate magic into the Marvel Cineverse.
And not Scarlet Witch's mutant magic. Actual learnable magic spells.
That, and when they eventually get to explaining the origins of Iron Fist.
So, I'm going to watch Captain America 3 today Way excited!

Cautiously optimistic.
The teaser looked great, and the actor is great, but the director's filmography is really horrible.
I'll put my trust in Feige to quality control.
Just got back from seeing Civil War.
Man, this… This is what I was expecting when I went to see Age of Ultron last year. It took them about a year longer and it was a completely different movie, but Marvel finally delivered on what they promised back then. Absolutely great movie.
I also got to see Civil War today. I'll put my general thoughts under a spoiler tag including very, very minor plot points. I feel like most everybody here won't mind but you've been warned.
! Yeah, it was pretty great as expected. For me the first part of the movie was a little bit dragging its heels and almost repetitive but as the movie kept going it just got better and better until the fantastic climax.
! I enjoyed the scope of the movie just like I did in Age of Ultron. We get to see various different countries and cities as locations which just makes sense for this world and the plot.
! The villain was amazing, definitely one of my favourite ones which kind of caught me off guard.
! Lastly, the myriad of characters were handled well for the most part but not quite as effortlessly as in the Avengers movies. Still, there's like 5 million of them so what can you do? My favourite characters were (and if you've come this far you should know they're in the movie):
! Black Panther and Spiderman :D
So, I happen to be in Vienna for vacation and came across an English cinema. So yea, I got to see Captain America: Civil War a week and a half earlier than I thought I would.
I really enjoyed it. I thought the movie had a great flow and progression. The time flew and I left the theater entertained.
Captain America was absolutely amazing! Great balance between comedic and dramatic moments. Motivations of characters were very well-developed and really made sense (I'm looking at you, BvS!). In fact, all the characters were very well-used. While I personally enjoyed Age of Ultron, I agree that this was easily the better movie. I'd say definitely on par with Captain America 2 in my opinion. I'll put the rest of my impressions under Spoiler tags:
! As I mentioned, the motivations of the characters made so much sense. Bucky being the murderer of Tony's parents was really well-played, I did not see that coming. Black Panther and Spidey were introduced nicely. Spider-Man especially stole the movie when he was onscreen. I'm really looking forward to his solo movie now. But truly, everyone was great. Hawk-Eye, Black Widow, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man….I loved them all.
Daniel Brühl also played a very effective villain, creepy and at the same time, surprisingly human.
! There were several cheers in my movie theater, especially when Spider-Man first appeared and also when Martin Freeman was on-screen
We have Robert Downey Jr. to thank for that cool metal glove, apparently:
