Three movies might be too much, I'm worried they'll burn themselves out.

Everything that's not the doctor strange movie is superflous and can be cut.
Avengers 3? Don't need it. What we need is more strange

There's also some rumors/speculations that
! Hulk will end up in space after Avengers 2, and lead into something akin to Planet Hulk, which could then tie into the Guardians and Thanos (though three green guys on one team…?) Thus giving him sort of his own movie, without trying to be the same as the last two that didn't go so great... and partnering him up so he's not carrying the full weight of a film on his own.
Also, if Ant-Man does well, I'd assume one of those 2018 films might be Ant-Man 2… but obviously they don't wanna get TOO ahead of themselves on announcing that, same with Guardians 2.
(Which they must be spending a TON of advertising money on. I'm not even watching tv and I'm seeing tons of ads for it. And they're on teaser like, 27 now?)
I'd also put a guess towards a Black Widow/Hawkeye/SHIELD movie. They gotta want to do a female lead movie eventually, though obviously the tv series makes that weird, and so far they've worked well as a backdrop to Cap.
Not to mention War Machine to fill that Iron Man void...
Let's be honest. What we really all want is Howard the Duck.
-
NINE? Jesus, I guess I won't worry about them squeezing in a Black Panther movie. Or I hope I shouldn't have to.

! Wasn't Planet Hulk a really big/dense series though? I would think that would be hard to squeeze into a movie.
Speaking of a fuckton of GotG teasers, this is an adorable one I found for Rocket and Groot:

! If rumors are true and they do something like a Planet Hulk movie I would hope they keep the part in where he pulverizes the Avengers back on Earth. Hell, Hulk's righteous vengeance is the main draw of that comic and really Hulk smashing stuff is the main draw of…Hulk.

I think this is way too early to happen right now. I'd rather see the return of the cast from the Incredible Hulk to build that connection a little more. I'd rather see more hulk villains first. Let them do a grounded movie before trying anything major with him. Im sure ruffalo is staying for a while.
-

Nah. It was 12 issues but it was a pretty standard gladiator epic, and they already condensed it into an animated film before. It scales down pretty easily, and obviously they wouldn't want to do the exact same thing….
the aftermath with world war hulk lasted a bit but was also overall pretty short.
-
World War Hulk would be an awesome movie. Just seeing Hulk beat the shit out of everyone. Would never work since you'd have to establish a bunch of stuff like the Illuminati (where Marvel don't even have the rights to F4) and whatnot and Sentry would just be a complete what the fuck out of nowhere thing so…
But goddamn would it not be awesome to see Hulk pile drive Tony Stark through Stark Tower in glorious HD?

And a single episode of a cartoon.

Some reviewers have gotten to see Guardians of the Galaxy.
There's an embargo on releasing full reviews, but a LOT of them have taken to Twitter to voice their minipinions and the response? This bodes well.
Also, one of the reviewers drops this tidbit: "Weird thing: while GUARDIANS has the most Thanos-wank yet it's the Marvel movie that stands most on its own. It feels whole."
Fangirl squees -
"I wasn't listening I was thinking of something else." Fuck, I think Drax and Gamora are going to be funnier than Rocket at this point.
-
Guardians comes out August 1st and the day after that I get to go to a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Fenway. I don't think that weekend will get any better for me.

I'm going bold here and making a prediction about some of this. I don't think I'm gonna be TOTALLY right on all the dates, but I think this is a fair prediction for what we're looking at here.
July 17, 2015: Ant-Man
May 6, 2016: Captain America 3
July 8, 2016: Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017: Thor 3
July 28, 2017: The Incredible Hulk 2
November 3, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 6, 2018: Black Panther
November 2, 2018: Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel
May 3, 2019: The Avengers: Infinity War*
I'm PRETTY Sure the title of the film will reference "Infinity" and the Infinity War is the most popular of those events. You have very solid guesses, I like them. My guesses are going to be a little different:
July 17, 2015: Ant-Man
May 6, 2016: Captain America 3
July 8, 2016: Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017: Thor 3
July 28, 2017: Avengers 3: Infinity War
November 3, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 6, 2018: Black Panther
November 2, 2018: Hulk 2
May 3, 2019: Captain America 4Yeah I think we are getting Avengers 3 in 2017 for a couple of reasons:
1. I think Marvel will keep the pace of keeping movie sequels 3 years apart.
2. For some reason I think Thor 3 will be a good tie in and lead up to Avengers with its connections to the cosmic realm.
3. The Thanos fallout will make for a great lead in to Guardians 2 with all the Thanos connections.
4. Justice League comes out in 2017 as of all the latest information, Marvel has shown no fear in going head to head with the DC movies (look at the Cap 3/Batman vs. Superman showdown right now)
5. My gut feeling in having 3 movies in one year (2017) means Avengers will be one of them. Like I said, nothing more than my speculation though. Also about Captain Marvel, as cool as she could be I think they might be using her for the Agents of Shield series…which sucks.

Yeah I think we are getting Avengers 3 in 2017 for a couple of reasons:

Avengers 1 in 2012.
Avengers 2 in 2015.
Avengers 3 in 2017 would NOT match that pattern. only be 2 years apart.2019 doesn't match it either, but it makes more sense at the end of a phase than the middle of it.

ACK! Got my years mixed up. That aside though we are assuming all of these dates are all Phase 3 movies. These dates could be both Phase 3 and parts/all of Phase 4.
-
They're still promoting it all as phase 3. They wouldn't want to break up and create confusion by starting to hype up 4 before 2 is even finished and we have a 5 year window ahead.

Yeah, from what I can tell that might be what they are doing with the Skye character. I share your pain.

This is basically an EXTREMELY Truncated version of the 17 Minutes of the movie I got to see on the 7th, and yeah, it looks so good… My hype levels are at maximum.

I'm avoiding these extended looks like the plague.

Okay. I'm officially happy with Bradley Cooper as Rocket now.

I hope she isn't just a minor role and replaces, oh, basically the entire cast.
I'll actually show an interest in the show again if she does anything meaningful.

Agreed, I didnt' even realize she was in Sparticus (didn't see it but saw commercials) since I didn't recognize her as a brunette (and without those bangs…) I'm too ingrained in the image of the dark raven-haired Xena lol and haven't seen other works of Lucy

Then you haven't seen the gloriousness that is Battlestar Galactica. A worthwhile show for anyone to watch.

Nope sure didn't. I wasn't a fan of the original and while I knew this one was different from the original, for some reason, none of the commercials caught my attention enough to make me want to see it. I don't know why , but it just didn't catch my fancy.
I must of missed the info Lucy was in it or I likely would have tried a few episodes just because of her. -
If there's one thing I'll give Marvel credit for it's that for all of these TV spots and clips they've put out I still have no idea what the plot is. Other than Ronan has done something bad and they get put in prison at some point, which we all gleaned from the trailers anyway. That leaves plenty of surprises.

I presume they learned their lesson from the DREADFUL Incredible Hulk trailer which pretty much gave away the entire movie within a span of two minutes.

Very true I'm still wondering if they will stick with Quill's backstory which could definitely be the main plot in part 2.
Also here's another clip!

July 17, 2015: Ant-Man
May 6, 2016: Captain America 3
July 8, 2016: Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017: GotG 2
July 28, 2017: Black Panther
November 3, 2017: Thor 3
July 6, 2018: Inhumans
November 2, 2018: Black Widow/Captain Marvel
May 3, 2019: Avengers: The Infinity GauntletIf GotG does as well as it is expected to, Marvel will slot the sequel into the summer opener slot.
Black Panther has to be in there somewhere and with it being at the end of the summer, they can scale down expecations and costs because it doesn't have as much competition. I forgot when the Wonder Woman movie was about to come out, but if it was in 2017, switch BP with the Captain Marvel/Black Widow movie.
Thor 2 did really well in a November release, so the sequel will follow suit.
When it comes to what Marvel is trying to sell, the comics are a good indication. And they have been pushing the ever-loving fuck out of the Inhumans as the mutants replacement. Even with it being a dismal failure (Marvel's comic sales drastically went down in its fourth quarter, the period where Marvel did their Inhumans "coming out" event), Marvel is still pushing the crap out of it and giving them prime space in advertising. So this movie is going to happen and it will be done in July for the same reason as Black Panther. Less competiton. It's also a big critical risk since if it's anything like the rebooted comic book Inhumans (so not the cool Kirby moon folks), it's straight up X-Men plagiarism. And they haven't been hiding it either.
Captain Marvel, like the Inhumans, has been getting a huge push as well, so she's getting a movie too. Plus that name is a huge fuck you to DC, who have to make do with Shazam. It's only a question if she's getting it in phase 3 or if Black Widow is finally getting a movie. Carol Danvers is popular on Tumblr but her comics sales are pretty terrible and her book gets relaunched every other year to renew interest. Even the new muslim Ms. Marvel is significantly outselling Captain Marvel. So a quiet november release allows for more leeway.
Phase 3 will be one year longer than the previous phases because there's just much more characters, old and new, that need to be fleshed out.
-
Is that your list or did you find that somewhere?
Well if the tweet put out by John Boreyga is true, then Black Panther is happening and will be announced at Comic Con on Saturday.
I would love to see Captain Marvel on the big screen, especially with DC dragging their feet on Wonder Woman. I really hope they don't use her on Agents of Shield.
As much as I love the list, I don't want to wait 6 years for Avengers 3.
-

Hopefully a Captain Marvel movie wouldn't have a power loss inducing tumor and have said tumor's removal cause amnesia.
-
May 4 2018 has now also been claimed for a MS movie. Maybe Iron Man 4 that RDJ hinted at today.

ughhhh she is a lightning rod for bad storytelling.
