Yep, Flash is looking so much better than Arrow s.3
Blasphemy. The Flash wouldn't exist without Arrow having been so good/doing as well as it has. It certainly looks really good, but I'm still more excited about season 3.

Yea, and if you watched the little conversation that nerdHQ had with Stephan Am, whatever hi sname is. He mentions that when Arrrow premiered it was the ONLY DC tv show. This upcoming year there is going to be 5 DC tv shows.
If Arrow sucked, that woudl not be the case.

Yeah Arrow has been doing good, I know that.
But I'm just saying Flash looks better than Arrow s.3Wasn't trying to discuss their successes.

You can't really judge that because we've barely seen anything of Season 3 so far, except say 1 min of footage + 1 min of what happened in the previous 2 seasons
But in anycase, looking forward to both, and especially the cross over episode between them.

Well, I did watch Season 2 and I have set my expectations pretty low. So yeah…

Wait you thought season two was bad?

Wait you thought season two was bad?
I did enjoy it for what it was, but all the forced drama that came with annoying characters like Roy, Sara, Thea etc was pretty off-putting.
I know TV series are meant to have a range of characters but I really want more focus on original characters like Oliver Diggle Det. Lance etc.
By the looks of the trailer it seems the producers will continue with the many characters. -
I think alot of us are in agreement that Roy and Thea were mostly useless. They've been like that for the whole show. To me though it didn't take away from the rest of the show which was awesome. Manu Bennett as Slade, pure awesome.
-
The writers pretty much said that they messed up Roy's story last season but everyone's right about Thea.
-
Well, not to be asinine but I did blink a lot when Ra's came in at the end (and they mispronounced the name).
They actually meet it halfway as far as the pronunciation of Ra's name.
Ra's daughter pronounces it "Raysh". So it seems to be the arabic way of pronouncing it. All the american characters though have pronounced it as "raz".
-
Oh balls here comes another discussion on how to correctly pronounce Ra's name.
All I know is that the pronunciation I haven't used so far is probably the correct one.At this point I just want to call him Al.
-
@Mr.:
At this point I just want to call him Al.
Well said sir, well said!
-
Do you pronounce Al like "Alley way" or like "All the way"?
-
You can just go with the Kevin Conroy pronunciation of his name.

I've worked with 3 different Arabic speakers. I've shown them the Arabic for the name (رأس الغول) with no other context and asked them how its pronounced, and every one of them tells me it's pronounced like "Rahtz". Not a single one gave me anything even remotely close to "Raysh". When I point out to them the typical "Raysh vs. Rahz" argument they all tell me "Rahz" is way closer to how it's supposed to be pronounced.
So unless there's another dialect of Arabic where it IS pronounced Raysh and the several people I've spoken to ALL happen to not have that dialect/know it's pronounced "Raysh" in that dialect, then I am forced to conclude that It's supposed to be "Rahtz" or "Rahz" with an American accent, and that Denny O'Neil, as amazing as he is, doesn't know what he's talking about in this case.

Regardless, I'm glad that Arrow did manage to throw both in.

As with all words in the world, Kevin Conroy pronunciation comes first/

Oh that was really really awesome.
I saw that latest Batman aniamted movie assault on Arkham…i coulda sworn those 2 had voiced Harley/Joker and yet it turned out it was 2 other people, which was weird cuz thye sounded so like them....or perhaps i need to get my hearing checked out...

It stems from intent versus execution. Apparently O'Neil INTENDED it to be pronounced as "Raysh" but he choose the wrong meaning and therefore the wrong pronunciation. Because of the way he wrote it in English, however, people are inclined to pronounce it as "Raysh" because that is how "Raysh" is written in English. As a cop-out he said both ways are right.

Make it happen plz
kneels before God Please?
-
Make it happen plz
It's like J.K. Simmons being J. Jonah Jameson. Screw continuity and bring him on!!!
-
Make it happen plz
That would be epic if they did it…would give the series a big boost with such a high profile actor in the show....

So I was going through that link and found this in the comments:
…seriously? Gotham High? Was this really a thing?
-
apparently and I intend to never watch anything like it
-
Apparently, it was just a concept and never actually released.
-
I would've loved to see that just to see how hilariously bad it would've been.
Or, maybe, somehow, it would've been something amazing! :ninja:
-
Apparently, Barbara was planned as a love interest, so that already gives me the creeps.

Would be nice to see that happen instead of the writers just toying around with that.

Watching TV i expect everyone to become a love interest at some point.
That's how it goes on TV.

Possible Supergirl series in the works:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/09/04/reports-say-dc-are-developing-a-supergirl-tv-seriesIt would be VERY nice to have another female superhero in the gang. And hell, if it's a TV series, and done by a different team, Supergirl might just outdo Superman in terms of entertainment. Of course that's all hope.
-
God dammit. Just make a fking Batman series already. its a no brainer for god sake. It'd be a huge hit, they'd have tons of story to work from, and if they could set it in the Arrow-verse that would be even better.

I want the Batman years of Bruce Wayne…..
-
DC is too afraid it would damage the brand.
-
I'd actually prefer a series like Gotham instead of a Batman focused one. Otherwise it'd probably turn out much like Arrow but with a less likable protagonist, or it'll be a live action TAS, when TAS alone is enough… although you could argue that Gotham is looking to be as villain centric as TAS, and that TAS was the 90s and there's no harm in doing a new take for today.
But the premise of Gotham is perfectly fine from where it's going. I'd actually be interested in the somewhat new approach where the focus is more on Gordon and the villains of Gotham and having Wayne as more of a minor character, and evolving into a background presence over Gotham as Batman.
-
I prefer my superhero media as animated as possible, sadly the business model of that is aparently unsubstainable for the networks.
-
Well, the DC animated movies are pretty great, but they still aren't tv shows :(
-
. . . . are you forgetting the fabulous line of animated TV shows?
-
Sorry Satsuki but I gotta break your Paul Dini-Bruce Timm combo string
Though I believe Mr.Zoro was lamenting the fact that while we do get Animated DC movies that have superb quality, these aren't TV shows like everything we've posted.
-
And don't forget Canceled Justice.
-
Hey, we could get something good for a live action Batman thing.
Just gotta remember to spray it with shark repellant

lol. I loved that opening…...so catchy.....

But both Teen Titans and Brave and the Bold were in fact, quite good?
And even The Batman wasn't bad, it just wasn't TAS and everyone compared it to it. Static Shock I never watched, couldn't get past the low animation budget but it seemed okay.
(Unless you're actualyl saying htose were good too, they just weren't the Dini/Timm/Burnett era, in which case, carry on.)
And don't forget Canceled Justice.
Well the second season sucked, so it wasn't as huge a loss as people make it out to be. Weismans' Spiderman was overall a better product, and now he's on Star Wars. So…
