That was unbearably boring. The whole "you thought x, but it was for naught, since I already figured you'd be thinking about x" has become so,so, SO commonplace that the final villain of the entire series using it for two chapters in a row is anything but something to look forward to.
If at least the fight coreography had something to offer, but sadly, it doesn't. Kubo was never the most creative fight designer, but he used to put more effort into the panneling, the flow, to make the panels clearer and cleaner, with the actions discernible. . .now the strikes are so blurred by ink and effects and stuff that it makes it near impossible to get enganged in the actual fighting.
This is a terrible, terrible climax to a nearly 700 chapters long series.
