Oh boy, this is so intense. Will Brandish be able to convince August to not attack Fairy Tail, when they are in the middle of a freaking war? If not, I totally believe that these two great mages will be such a huge threat. Fairy Tail with all the damage they have taken will not be able to stand up to their might. And just to make this chapter that much better, let's have a lesbian moment with Erza and Kagura sharing a kiss.

Only really good thing I liked about this chapter was the last page, mainly because Levi questioning if she was one of the 6 monsters Gajeel was talking about.

I'm actually hyped at Gajeel and Elfman fighting, for example. Maybe even Mirajane, even if she gets the spotlight often. But I'm not too excited at the prospect of drama between transformation siblings. You just know there will be name yelling and worry.

Even of Gajeel's side, there's Levy, his girlfriend and his close cat friend.

Ultimately, they are supposed to lose. Those 2, Bradman and Rakheid are potential losers, but Erza's mom is due to appear elsewhere.

yeah he hasn't even shown up in this arc so by FT standards it makes sense for him to make his first appearance by beating one of their strongest guys

His strength would have to be retconned for him to do anything at this point. He struggled with Bluenote and Natsu one shotted him. He's already old and has hit his prime already so him getting stronger wouldn't make any sense.

Wrong, he owned bluenote but then the tree on fairy tail's holy island was drained by the tree guy erza beat.
every fairy tail member lost their power when that happened except erza since the tree guy wanted to fight her then the tree guy fixed the tree when he was defeated and gildarts owned bluenote.

natsu had fights with gildartz during the 1 year time skip fairy tail was disbanded but he still could not beat gildartz.

Gildarts was struggling to beat him even before he lost his magic. Even the captions from the chapter where Natsu defeated him stated that he fought toe to toe with Gildarts.

That was before he started training. He didn't even use his lighting fire dragon mode yet he still managed to knock Gildarts back a great deal. Face it, God Serena was much stronger than Gildarts and he would be fodder to August. Even Makarov was scared on the Spriggan 12's power & he was stronger than Gildarts.

Serena being the strongest mage in Ishgar meant that he was stronger than Gildarts and he's only on the same level as a regular Spriggan. Gildarts was already in his prime beforehand. If a mere year of training can give him an absurd power jump that big, why wasn't he already more powerful than he was portrayed?

A few bleach drinking fangirls have not liked it merged with naruto for sure but the main reason you ndon't see much now is because most of them have been banned and their posts deleted since people thought they were trolling lol.

No, you're wrong he was only the strongest wizard saint nothing about him being the strongest the tree guy that was a wizard saint and fairy tail member said that they were chosen but they were not the strongest since stronger people existed when the fairy tail members asked why he just did not do the job himself instead of hiring them to deal with the ice village and Erza's mom is from Ishgar and is stronger so that proves he was not the strongest

He's been away for 7 years. So Brandish claimed that title. I think considering their history FT has more than proven that they are the strongest. And Gildartz is the strongest.

Managed to throw a good hit here and there. Which is more than what could be said for his test with Gildartz. Mashima simply doesn't care for consistency of power levels enough to be consistent about them.

Serena was the strongest mage in Ishgar as said by other people? Great. Gildartz survived the fight against Acnologia and Serena was killed with one move. Consistency.

We put Fairy Tail and Bleach in one thread and we already start power level discussions. I'll put this in simple terms for everyone. power levels in Fairy Tail are like Kenpachi, weak when need to make things "intense" then becomes powerful enough to win the fight to make it look epic.

As far as which of these two series I consider better, I would put Bleach just slightly above Fairy Tail, only because Bleach had the hand fight, and that's better than anything Fairy Tail has put out in the same time frame. So it's like finding a dead possum on my bed for Fairy Tail, and for Bleach there was a dead possum with a wrapped mint near by.

When Makarov talks about gildartz's power he sounds like gildartz is stronger than him plus him trying to make gildartz the next leader which gildartz said he did not want to since he likes his freedom like shanks does from one piece acnologia is the final boss and he was the only person to have ever survived fighting him until mavis saved the guilds main members being nuked by him in one hit.
