Forget As Nodt's fear and Askin's still-abstract-death-dealing, I personally found Giselle to have the most frightening power of all of the Stern Ritters, partially attributed to the display the Femritters had against the unlucky 11th Division in their intro scenes.
Then Bambietta got my pity when she was used as a zombie doll for extra abuse, then Hitsugaya got hit with the zombie stick, and the only solution for that was to be Mayuri'd. Szayel can attest that being Mayuri'd is a very very painful experience.

I feel like this is unfair.
Fairy Tail at least provides readers with a steady diet of tits & ass, whereas Bleach disappoints on absolutely every level.
One option where they feed you your daily serving of McDonalds' and the other where they pour edible but unpalatable green sludge down your throat?

Chapter is out, it's real. The problem being that he is probably doing this on his own volition (as the chapter shows) and probably retains his own personality, sadly.

Half-Hollow-Quincy-whatever Ichigo had the tamest introduction panel I've ever seen for a power-up. "I will defeat you!! …maybe, I'm kinda nervous ^^;;"

Ishida is the true miracle, as his arm that looks like it's almost completely cut off can still be lifted up to use his bow and arrow. Yeah, that new form isn't doing anything for me and looks really lazy. Let's put one horn on his head, then just make him have some black on his face. The hollow form had some attention to detail at least. Unlike Ulqiorra, I don't see Ichigo winning this one, and will need another three or four transformations to beat Bach.

Seriously, is this the best we can get for a final confrontation? Yoghurt is fighting exclusively using an ability he just happened to gain by chance maybe an hour ago, and Ichigo fights by just charging in mindlessly over and over in order to "buy time". Theres no craft here whatsoever, and its just so dreadfully unappealing to look at; nothing but waves of black goo and Ichigo flailing around in the black goo, and Yoghurt not seeming to have moved one step from his throne. Is this the fearsomeness you said you wanted to show Ichigo? You're not even in freaky eyeball mode anymore!
The insipid, vague, pseudo-deep dialogue doesn't help either, and once again I wonder: What does Yahtzee even want? Does he want Ichigo to die? To unleash his full potential? To absorb him? Something else? I can't gauge whether he's fighting seriously or not!I don't know if Kubo is being somewhat self aware with the "broken record" comment or the scanlators are having a laugh, but it hardly matters. If I had the time and patience, I bet I could make a supercut of all the variations of "I'll say it again…" in Bleach, to rival the attack-from-behind one. Christ Kubo, your toolbox is so ridiculously limited

I don't know why so many people are expecting so much from this chapter. This obviously isn't even close to his final form, Ichigo's dad will need to get involved in the fight. Aizen will need to get involved, I look at this chapter as filler really. Also perhaps I need to check out Fairy Tale after all the adult situations.

Pros: Uryu not giving up the good fight and Orihime stops Ichigo from just charging recklessly like a fool
Cons: Haschwald continues to be pretentious and smug, while Bach's "attacks" are, while bringing some shadow symbolism here and there (light in the darkness), glorified ink spills. I get the feeling we're going to do down the Hogyoku Aizen route and Bach will just cruise control everything up until his demise ("what?! you're somehow more powerful than my all-seeing eyes predicted?!")
I also don't know how to feel about….whatever Ichigo turned into. On one hand I think it looks kinda cool?, and this could be the chance for him to stop using Getsuga Tenshou ad infinitium to win a battle, and on the other, it looks really jarring and a little goofy, much like my initial impression of Gear Fourth.

I find it as more of a case of abusing "informed ability" trope in order to make readers believe character A is goddamn powerful while revealing so little in short amount of time. It's as if the repeatedly hammered "August iz too stronk dont fight him" fact was tailored to make way for negotiation scenario. Powerlevel-sensing is just an icing on the cake.
Back to Bleach…
Ichigo's new mis-mashed form sucks. It's like Kubo doesn't even bother to pretend that he's trying anymore. And here I thought I was going to see more humane side of Bishiesparkle from how he's going to answer Ishida's question. I feel like a jackass now.

I will say, I like how Orihime and Ichigo are teaming up for this fight, instead of it being solo (for now). But other than that, it was meh.
How many forms do you think Ywach will go through? I'm betting about 4, not counting previous forms.

I wish Fairy Tail was just some fantasy/hardcore ecchi/Slice of Life show about magical wizards in a guild going about their days. No fighting battles or anything, unless for comedic effect or something.
I mean I really like the character interactions. Well, some of them I guess. Which is why I find the filler Slice of Life chapters to be good. Like just look at Brandish, she totally fits right into a character for the FT guild. Hugging that giant cat showing her cute side with those bright red cheeks, when she is supposedly fearsome character. Also her blowing up Lucys boobs is highlight stuff for me. Thats the stuff I enjoy in this series. Them not worrying about fighting or w/e, just interacting with each other
And for Bleach. I had a dream a couple nights ago that there was a new SternRitter who had an ability to prevent his opponent from uttering a certain sentence or phrase. And then he used it on Orihime to prevent her from saying "Kurosaki-kun!" and then what immediately followed was a JoJo "To be Continued" ending, with music and all.
No idea what would happen next though

Am I the only one disappointed that we didn't get to see the haswalt v. Ishida fight, but were subjugated to those boring as fuck gerard chapters? That fight probably would have been entertaining and maybe the least bit insightful.

But I sure am excited to learn how Ichigo channeling Quincy Power into his Soul Cutter awakened half his Inner Hollow (who is his sword) Ichigonator mode. We spent so much time exploring the nature of Ichigos new dual-wield shikai and his new [error! File missing!] bankai, so a new transformation is perfectly warranted.
