i remember they said they wanted to kill neo themselves because of honor or challenge or whatever. it's all just a weak reason to give neo some grunts who'll be cannon fodder for either the heros or himself to show how crazy he is for killing his lackeys.

The Nitro sure have their priorities backwards. If they want to seal Acacia so badly they should be working together with everyone else in weaking him instead of putting up a front and pretending they're on NEO's side.

They need Neo to be complete before they can seal it. If not it will simply come back later. So he needs to win to be able to eat God and Center.

And also, what the hell does "nearly eternal" even means? You're either either eternal or not, there is no middle ground here.

It would mean eternal pending conditions. For instance, if you're eternal as long as you don't say the words shazam. Now if you accidentally say it then the question can be asked to whether you were ever really eternal, but the idea of eternity is hard enough to grasp that limits to it and their effect on its value are difficult to talk about. I still think a limit to one's eternity is logical enough, though.

I took it like if you have a Vampire. They can be eternal as long as they don't get staked, beheaded or sunbeamed. They could go on forever. They don't have a shelf life otherwise. Neo may just have a long lifespan.

Too little too late. I can understand the desire to round up everyone for the big finale and give them all little moments, but when Coco, Sunny and Zebra are lying offscreen in a ditch (and the less said about Tommyrod and Grinpatch the better), this doesn't seem like time well spent. I know the eight kings are still standing, but they keep getting their coolness interrupted by boring secondary characters like Toriko and Starjun!

Why did we cut from the kings? At this point that's the only things that matters. Chefs bonding? Should have come sooner and not made Komatsu a walking deus-ex machina. Center arriving? Should have been there in that Jirou's fight. Chichi there? Not so bad but Grandma Setsu and Jirou should be the one participating in that balls to the wall extreme fighting with Bambina and the Wolf king.Forget the plot there's no interest in it anymore. Just give me the kings being awesome.

I still don't like the concept of Food Luck or now Gourmet Luck. Maybe if it was explained at least once, but it's really just luck. Which is meh. Liked the rest though, the evolution of Neo/Acacia actually didn't feel like an asspull, at least for me.

Still I'm angry for Midora's fate, seeing how Starjun seems to have the upper hand against Joa, though I'm sure it will be Midora the one who will tear apart Frozhe's reincarnation. If you think about it, Toriko himself didn't lend one hit till now, against the big bad guys, his 'stands' did everything. And the third one still have to show himself…

It's just stuff happening which to me has no impact because there was no build-up, bit it doesn't have that perfect storm where the stuff happening is so hilariously bad.

It was his third Demon, he appeared to save his life. Neo was so afraid of him, that he ate the (Not completly prepared) piece of God. Neo looks like a Nightmarecharacter from the Sesam Street. And why is Frohze still smiling? Lol With a good Animationteam, these last 80-100 Chapters, + everything whats coming soon, would be a big success.

I think it's been hinted that he has 3 appetite demons. The third one was hinted to be some sort of God.

As much as I hate how rushed everything is, how conveniente everything is. . .how much I dislike Acacia, how boring Toriko and Star are. . .how stupid I find the whole "now we use demons as Stands! Go, my Genesis, fight that New Order with your appetite!", and, yes, the whole "gourmet this, gourmet that, appetite this, appetite that, back channel this, back channel that" (I fucking HATE the whole concept of the Back Channel). . .

..as much as all of this is a recipe for disaster, man, Shima just KNOWS how to draw the fucking apocalypse happening right in front of your nose. Violent, visceral, huge. Everything looks just how it should look in the end of the world scenario. Even the new Neo design is ubberly unsettling. So, on the art and presentation department, a huge BRAVO. On the writing and pace department. . .

If I had to narrow it down to one problem, it would be that it didn't feel like Acacia/Neo earned this. I can come to grips with the insane power ups from eating, because that was there since the beginning and I was fine with it then. The problem here is that it doesn't feel earned. We were shown with Neo Acacia being outclassed by all the 8 kings, and that he was going to struggle to get to his goal. Not only that but it was readily apparent that this was supposed to be an all out battle to see who could get God. Problem is that Neo was shown struggling for a chapter, then out of nowhere learns a new backchannel ability which allowed him to bypass the Sky Deer Kings ability, then gets to God right away. The BS power up when he basically dies was already problematic enough for me, but then by passing everyone and skipping any other possible struggle really annoyed me. If he had for a number of chapters been trying to get there and against all odds made it then this happened, it would've worked better. Instead he struggled a little, and now can just destroy anything with ease, and I'm supposed to believe now that powered up Toriko and company can take this thing on.

The other problem is that I don't care about anything going on at this time. We skipped so much and for almost a year we had almost nothing but exposition chapters. Add in the fact that the only good thing that has really come from this series since the Gourmet World was Bambina and the designs of the 8 kings, it's hard to feel anything for this battle. There hasn't been anything to make me absolutely hate what's been going on, mainly so much skipping around that I'm disappointed in what's going on, and lack of characterization and motivation doesn't help. Also, yes, we technically have motivation, but the way it was delivered doesn't really give me any care for it.

Also, a little reminded that once again we are teased of going into outer space. Acacia saying: 'The Gods of Gourmet are calling out to me….To the furthest lands.'We're in end-game material for sure, but this manga might not end during the current fight.
