Not much happened in this chapter. Apart from the cliffhanger revelation, the rest was just exposure, though quite funny. I think it is safe to say this was the last presentation of characters (Pedro and the cat) and set up of the island and now, we will enter deep in the plot - Sanji's family.
Thank God there is no break next week, I was fearing that.

Loved the chapter. I especially liked Luffy's comment on it being worse if Sanji were not to return than to serve under Big Mom. I mean, quite predictable by now how much he cares, but still a very nice touch.
Also, Chopper in love? That's a first.
Absolutely loving Nekomamushi's character.
And finally, the Vinsmokes are assassins ey? Definitely in the direction of what I was expecting. I'd be very interested to hear more about it. When Brook still didn't speak up halfway into the chapter about what he knows about the Vinsmokes I got quite annoyed, so I'm glad it was revealed at the end of the chapter. Now hoping they'll build upon that next chapter.

Nekomamushi is just so likeable. A straight up awesome character and the Garfield reference with the lasagna was spot on. The perfect blend between cute and badass. You can also expect a lot of references to Sanji's father being a dude in a white hoodie with a retractable wrist blade the coming weeks.
Poor Rogersbase, he had a theory crafted for months up until this moment…

Second best part would be the argument they had over Sanji's disappearance. Zoro seems to think that Sanji holds a responsibility in everything. Which I agree with. But glad that their opinion is not one sided. Oh well... Luffy's words command at the end. Great Chapter!

Nekomamushi is my new favourite character. He's like every cat video at once. Does Pekomamushi mean that the two are related?Oda's really teasing the fans here, referencing Sanji bringing his wife into the crew. Unlikely, but I think the only way this can happen is if Luffy takes over Mom's position in the Yonkou or if she acknowledges him as her superior. And a girl reindeer for Chopper? Cute. Romance seems in the air.
Loved Brook's little ode to Nekom but there seemed to be something deeper going on with Brook's recollection of the Vinsmoke family. Could there be a link to his past?
So the Vinsmokes are assassins. I don't know how legitimate the family is now, but it makes sense that Sanji has been running from them for a long time. It makes sense during his origin flashback that he was so sure that Zeff's pirates had come for him personally.

It was a fun chapter. Nekomamushi is really crazy.
I was annoyed by Brook keeping his mouth shut about Vinsmokes, though.
And again with becoming BM's underlings through marriage, crap.
If it comes to sneaking in, I hope they do a better job than Fairy Tail. :ninja:

And from now on Nekomamushi shall be known as Garfield.
And Pekomamushi indeed dodged some attacks, but apparently not enough.Next chapter will reveal more about Sanji's family, and maybe show some more interactions with Bepo. And say something, Brook! Gaah! You drive me nuts.

You mean in that kingdom he was an officer in? It's possible. From how he's acting, it's probably something personal. Perhaps the assassination/s led to the kingdom getting destroyed/taken over by WG and it was what pushed Brook into the life of piracy.

I mean, you already have bounty hunter who are like.. Assasins, they hunt you to kill you/give you to the marine, only for your bounty... So why there is Assassins ? Pirates can do the Job. Well, Jack is kind of an assassin too, and he's labelled as a pirateI can understand why there is an underworld, like the mafia, in a world full of terror and fear with PIRATES, you expect to have some real heavy shitty pirates, but still.. That's not the real mafia. Somehow I feel the urge to rename the current saga "every strawhat gets laid", sorta.

So Oda still manages to surprise because while everyone guessed they were a criminal family as opposed to actual royalty or noble, assassins is more specific and interesting. I think they'd have to be an actual family by blood, which means that blond hair and curly eyebrows might be a trademark of theirs. But if it is, then even with Sanji's first wanted poster not having a real photo the name and recognisable features should've made it obvious. Oda will have to address why the Vinsmokes haven't done anything regarding Sanji until now. And I want to eventually get proof that the Vinsmokes have actually killed lots of people. Because we all know how hard it is for non-fodder to die in One Piece and how pathetic the yeti cool brothers were. I guess maybe we were all a bit too harsh on the yetis because for all we know they had killed tons of people in the past and Brownbeard was rightfully tough what with his alligator body. But I digress.
Yeah Brook better reveal what he knows next chapter.
It's good that Zoro has a different opinion on the matter since it creates more drama and fits with his dislike of Sanji.
And yeah Nekomamushi is cool.

Most likely. Was it stated who set's the bounties terms in One Piece world? I mean I don't see Akainu being indulgent with someone who has business with a Yonkou…So I guess it has to be the WG directly.

i think the ofcus of his speech was more about the fact that now that kaidou is pissed,this isn't a game anymore ,and thinking about having their hand full with TWO yonkou at the time it's pure suicide

Let the bets beginWe're still seeing only a narrow facet of OP world. Just because our main characters are pirates fighting pirates in a pirate infested sea so they could become top pirates, doesn't mean the world is all about pirates.
There are bounties for wanted people, but you don't use assassins to kill wanted criminals. You use them to take out problems or to clear the way. So, kings, competition, rebellion leaders, influential traders etc.
My only gripe is that there was no single mention of anything like an assassination clan or assassinations other than from CP. But who knows, maybe some of the mentioned deaths in OP were the result of a contract with Sanji's family.

After spending a few moments at the workplace toilet where I think the best, I came to a conclusions:
in order to be an assassin you have to be incredibly lowkey and having a big name will just attract a whole lot of unwanted attention.
Granted, in the world of criminals, your name should ring a few bells. But if somebody like Brook, who in his youth was a pretty lowkey pirate knows about them too, that indicates one of three things:
-The Vinsmokes are terrible at their job and are wellknown in the mainstream world. Meaning nobody would want to associate themselves with them.
-The vinsmokes are so good at their job the government knows about them but still don't fuck with them.
-The Vinsmokes do like any other succesful criminal organisation would: they have an upfront business as a facade that higher ups trust a lot, but commit crimes behind closed doors.The first one could be a hilarious, classic Oda with a weird twist. Like, Big Mom just owes the paterfamilias a marriage for having lost an eatingcontest at some point. The second one would hype them insanely and could potentialy explain why Sanji is only wanted alive. 3rd one feels the most plausible though and given the amount of influence their facade has, it could explain why he's only wanted alive. It wouldn't surprise me if Brook next chapter goes ''but wait I thought they were real estate brokers ( or whatever ) '' and then Pekoms would explain about them in detail.

Other than that, the chapter didn't packed a lot of information, but I have to say I loved to see the SH interacting in a normal conversation.

Zoro is a big ass. Luffy's picked a fight with Big mom in the first place, and they also send a bomb to her, they also had her CC that she wanted, it's not Sanji fault. Besides, It's not like Sanji controls the deals of his assassins family.
Capone would return to take Sanji and bring Tamago and the rest fo the crew with them and start another war with the minks after what they had. Not to mention they could call other ships for help from Big mom.
And if Sanji would not go with them, Big mom pirates would be on their back to get Sanji. At least with him there, Big mom won't be after them for now.

I think it's personal. But the way you described it would lead to Brook holding a grudge more against the WG and not Vinsmoke. With some needless slaughter and brutality from the assassins it would make more sense.

pretty cool chapter.i really liked seeing everyone discuss sanji's disappearance,and zoro being like "who cares",and then nami and zoro fighting.seems a long time since everyone interacted.and luffy assuming he'll bring his wife with him,lol.i doubt it would happen,but luffy seems fine with it.
and also,pedro and nekomamushi are awesome!gotta love him playing with a ball.
and i know i shouldn't,but i feel really glad that all the sanji is royalty/tenryuubito/gourosei related are proved wrong.but really,people treating a possibilty as definite without any concrete proof was annoying. -

The only problem I see is Kid being from South Blue, but that doesn't have to mean much. People do travel around and maybe they met in Paradise.
Other than that, "Killer"… Kinda too obvious. And another member of the family who left the business to become a pirate? If it was one of those things, but both?

the marine HQ is the one responsible for the bounties..we saw that when luffy's first bounty was issued

Very nice chapter. Nekomamushi is a real cat, cool and dumb at the same time! lol Brook's obviously hiding something, and I'm surprised Robin doesn't know much about the Vinsmoke. Pekoms is almost certainl gonna help the SH and maybe help them sneak in BM's headquarters… And Chopper in love...lol

It felt kinda wierd for me to call Sanji a noble for these few chapters now because we've never 100% had the confirmation on that (mostly just an assumption based on him being called a prince/being Mr. Prince), so looks like there was some truth to that.
Though, it isn't 100% confirmed that the Vinsmokes aren't a noble family. They can be a assassin family of nobles with ties to the underground. No matter which, I'm still very interested in how this all will come together.
