HAHA all that fall because of a cat?
Good thing there was no one in there when that thing fell.

:)
I've only watched speed skating of men on distance of 1500 metres on Saturday :ninja:
actually Mum only called me for 4 last pairs. -
I missed a bit of the 2 man bobsleigh yesterday, does anyone know why the Serbian team did not start?
-
Russia got eliminated in Hockey in the quarter-finals by Finland lollll
They can't even compete for a medal! And we beat them before this!
hahahahaEDIT: props to the Finns, there was some badass dude scoring on them with these brutal surgical maneuvers
-
Our Olympic/World Cup record against the Russians (rather than the Soviets) now stands at 6-4 in our favour.
I think I'd feel sorry for the Russians, but given the fact that these Olympics are a terrible farce and that Russian ice-hockey is one of the most painful forms of sports to ever watch due to the complete lack of teamplay and the inane abundance of arrogant obstinacy, I just don't have it in me.
Not the biggest fan of national team hockey, admittedly, but still: Go us, go.
-
-
Fake. Real thing would have been a bear.
P.S It's a dog.
P.P.S They complained about dogs extermination , and now they complain about dogs. -

Finland has always been top-tier, up there with USA, Canada, Sweden and a few others.

P.S It's a dog.
P.P.S They complained about dogs extermination , and now they complain about dogs. It's an extremely large dog wandering around in a hotel unsupervised.
That potentially feral animals can consistently walk into buildings like this and stay for extended lengths of time is a pretty big failure.

It isn't extremely large. It's not even that big for a laika. Probably lives with security, or near kitchen.
There were dogs at APEC too. It's not a big deal.
Someone is just being scared of a husky, who isn't even hostile. -
Stray dogs even in their number don't just pop into buildings and establishments lol.
Greece had a ton of strays just lounging around and they didn't get into houses let alone establishments.
Cyprus didn't even have that problem with their twenty billion stray cats. -
Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a comeback <3 gold!

Our dudes will kick your asses though bro.

Our dudes will kick your asses though bro.
We'll see about that ;)
Seriously though, no matter the outcome it's going to be an intense game.
-
As someone who doesn't have cable and has watched most of the hockey games online I find it ridiculous that they didn't/are not gonna show USA/Russia and USA/Canada on NBC
-
-
Ukraine won gold in the women's biathlon relay. Good for them, they sorely needed something to lift their spirits.
-
Olympics over, Finland lost at hockey. Boo.
-
Back to rooting for the Ducks to win the Stanley Cup.
-
Lol, Zeph, in your face. 5-0, son.
-
See you, Teemu, you were great. Salo and Timonen, too. Great careers.
-
So, it was a wolf!
But joke's on you, it would still be perfectly normal, even if it wasn't prank. Also, lol at figure skating petitions.
-
So, it was a wolf!
But joke's on you, it would still be perfectly normal, even if it wasn't prank. Is it normal in Russia for wolves to walk around hotels?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Lol, Zeph, in your face. 5-0, son.
;_;
S-s-shut up!! We were heart broken…Canada will take this shit, North America 2 vs like 30 of Yerpens, and we still win!
-
@Monkey:

Not wolves. Just dogs, even if they are big. They are completely harmless. Most of them are security dogs.
Saw them at APEC, never heard any complaints.…
Besides, when this can happen any day, dogs are least of our animal problems.

The funny thing is that when the match was over tons of US people were raging at the team's dreary performance in the bronze match and how it was unamerican to give up that easily and yada yada yada, while the Finns, Swedes, Canadians, and all the actually smart US hockey fans were all chill like "it's bronze, who the hell cares lol?"
-
Rough those Canucks up now, lay into 'em when the ref's not looking.
Some real bastard hockey.

Don't be too mad Sweden
You can always win your silly little world championship next year ;)
-
When he dropped the puck right in front of our own goal and that Canuck bastard picked it up i almost had a heartattack.
I mean we were getting our asses handed to us, but that was just too much.
-
Canada wins! Canada wins!

We don't slack off when it's our game, bro.

A bit late to this, just got back from a weekend cottage trip, but Yay Canada :)!
-
The Canadian commentators reaction to their gold. Priceless.
Then some peeps up in England did a reaction to us getting silver in curling. I can't even. -
The last word from Sochi: Russian self-deprecation rules more than actual Russians on ice do.
I'm guessing Putin wasn't too impressed. -

I'm guessing Putin wasn't too impressed. In harsh realm of West, concept of irony and self-irony doesn't exist and everything is dead serious.

I was talking about BBC news being ridiculous.

Wait you're saying that the English don't understand self deprecating irony? The English?
You're kidding right? -
I was talking about BBC news being ridiculous.
Eh?
The image is from an article in the section entitled "Magazine Monitor". The article talks of self-deprecation in advertising and other forms of public presentations. It just used this incident from Sochi as a form of commentary.
There was nothing in the article that suggested that it should be taken anything but humorously. Here's how the article ends.
The case of the missing ring might be remembered as a knowing wink rather than a sinister cover-up.
Are you talking about the Putin jab? I think that is just mentioned in passing. To be honest, his image in non-Russian media is not exactly one of a jovial person.
-
@Monkey:
Wait you're saying that the English don't understand self deprecating irony? The English?
You're kidding right?I was sarcastic.
…
Unlike some people who thought it was really made out of some kind of shame.
And there are some who still believe man responsible for rings on opening ceremony was punished by death. -
Actually that's a real wolf, but the problem is that it was a prank by Jimmy Kimmel. That wasn't even in Sochi.
EDIT: too late.Don't understand how I missed this awesome thread, but Brazil is next, definitely won't miss that one.
